An analysis of crowdfunding in the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and the United States in the example of comparing similar types of campaigns.

This bachelor thesis deals with the exploring the business of crowdfunding, a relatively new way of financing using modern technology. The motivation of potentional investors or people needing investment to employ this method of funding is also discussed, comparing the course of specific similar campaigns in the countries named above, and the influence of the general campaign success. The theoretical part of the thesis defines crowdfunding its types, properties and the technological environment in which it currently operates. Selected crowdfunding platforms are also described, along with, the specifications that significantly impact, the structure of customers and investors. The practical component of the thesis deals with the comparison of the reward-based crowdfunding in the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and the USA. The survey was conducted on the basis of the statistical analysis of the collected data, along with a questionnaire aimed at deducing the opinions of the public in relation to crowdfunding. The conclusion of this work is devoted to the formulation of knowledge gained from the empirical part of the work applicable to the local environment.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá nejúspěšnějších populárně naučných kanálů kanály češtině angličtině Jejím cílem je popsat vybraná videa z obsahových, slovních, neverbálních i technologických prvků a určit ty , které jsou charakteristické pro online video. Bude nás zajímat i to, které prvky poutají pozornost uživatelů, vyvolávají emoce a pomáhají udržet jejich zájem. Teoretický rámec nám poskytnou dvě existující studie na téma populárně naučných videí na YouTube (Welbourne a Grant; obou případech se jedná o analýzu audiovizuálních obsahů prostřednictvím kvantitativních metod. Cílem této práce bude audiovizuální obsahů uživatelské komentáře a využít kombinace kvalitativních a kvantitativních metod - obojí by mohlo poskytnout nové poznatky o tomto relativně novém fenoménu. Z metodologie vychází výzkum videí z kvalitativní obsahové analýzy využívající principů obrazové a sémiotické analýzy. Komentáře byly analyzovány spíše kvantitativními metodami. The role of authenticity in the process of developing the relationship between mikro-celebrities their fans

This thesis examines the role of authenticity, its elements and manifestations in the process of developing a relationship between micro-celebrities and their fans. The issue is demonstrated by the example of YouTube, the most important video-sharing site. Part of the issue is whether the YouTube content creators and their subscribers develop parasocial relationships as defined by Horton and Wohl (1956), and authenticity as an element that sets the relationship between micro-celebrities and their fans apart from the relationship between traditional celebrities and their fans. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with concepts that are associated with development of the micro-celebrity phenomenon, discusses the concepts of micro-celebrity and authenticity themselves, and expounds the parasocial relationships theory. Analysis of the role of authenticity in the process of developing the relationship between micro-celebrities and their fans is based on qualitative research that draws from interviews with micro-celebrities and their fans and the analysis of videos and comments by which viewers respond to them.
Diffusion of innovations in the social network of Czech foodbloggers

This thesis deals with the diffusion of innovations theory in current communication conditions. The first part of the thesis discusses the potential of changes in diffusion of innovations theory after transformation of society's communication structure enacted by widespread diffusion of the Internet and various social software. The theoretical framework is then utilized in analysis of the Czech food blogging social network. The first research question of this analysis is to determine, how the network, socio-demographic and attitudinal characteristics of food bloggers influence the diffusion of selected innovation in blogging, which is represented by vlogging. The second research question is concerned with the type of diffusion system this networks corresponds to. The combination of social network analysis and quantitative online survey among food bloggers. One of the most interesting findings is the inverse proportion of mutual degree to the video blogging use. The number of mutual connections in the network (degree) and size of the residential area of a food blogger were found to be the noticable individual characteristics influencing adoption of innovation. In terms of the type of diffusion system the network rather corresponds to decentralized diffusion system, that may, however, be threatened...
Czech Senators Communication on Social Media

This Bachelor thesis concerns the possibilities of social networks for political communication. It describes the characteristics of professionalized communication via social networks, including the principles which should be respected in order to merge with their philosophy. Political communication is framed into this context, while its development and a motivation for entering the cyberspace are described. Synthesis of these two parts leads to revealing of a potential, which social networks symbolize for political communication. The major concern of the ensuing part is the analysis of Czech senators as they perform on Facebook and Twitter. Their official accounts are examined and, based on the rate of distinctive features quintessential for correctly grasped political communication within the social networks, senators' accounts are assessed whether they are in accordance with the set principles or not. This analysis is complemented by a survey, which was conducted with the Czech senators. Results of this survey show to what extent the Czech senators are comfortable with the defined principles. By interconnecting of researched academic sources, conducted analysis and undertaken survey, the conclusion is stated. The solution is designed as an information base for continuing professional education. The purpose of the databank is gradually collect information of trends and analyzes in the field of continuing education, ideas and practices, methods, teaching aids, case studies, tests and other guidelines and sources of information. Author documented the results of the analysis of the problem and created solution using methods of project management solutions. Possible aproaches to viral marketing in new media and its usage in Czech republic

The thesis Possible approaches to the viral marketing in new media and its use in Czech Republic is concerned with one of the marketing strategies from foreign authors point of view. On the basis of related theories it describes the importance of viral marketing in order to point out the strengths and weaknesses of this method of promotion. The first part deals with the introduction of new media and specific ways of promotion in cyberspace. The following parts describes the related fields, word of mouth, memetics and information cascades. The actual view of viral marketing is given on the basis of publications by Seth Godin Douglas Rushkoff and Henry Jenkins. Part of the work deals with the measurement and analysis of viral marketing, which outlines the possible mathematical formula describing viral spread. Czech blogs as a part of advertisement? Analysis of selected blogs and interwiews with their authors.

This thesis thematizes the influence of commerce or commercials on bloggers and aims to realise their point of view interpreted by the authors of selected blogs in certain specific categories such as: fashion, beauty, lifestyle and food blogs. It is therefore, a critical view of the Czech blogs in selected categories in order to determine their relationship with the commercial industry thereby linking them with the information and PR content. This paper attempts to compare the neutrality or conversely the impact of commercials on certain selected Czech blogs. The purpose of this research is to ascertain the attitudes of bloggers who succumb to pressures from commercial entities. The result of this work is to evaluate personal perspective on the issue of linking bloggers with marketing plans and advertising commercial entities. Findings of the reviews point to the concept of free labour and touch upon the broader issue of poorly paid workers in the Web 2.0 environment.
