The Concept of Woman: Philosophical Reflection

The topic of the diploma thesis is "The Concept of Woman: Philosophical Reflection." The purpose of this paper is to discuss the phenomenon of femininity and the position of woman not only in the world but in her own body as well. It examines the relationship between a woman and a man. Attention is focused on sameness and difference in self - concept and thinking of both genders. The primary aim is equality of rights and duties between both genders. The paper expands upon eight basic areas. The first chapter deals with woman and the mental and physical form of love. Furthermore, attention is paid to women and marriage, with attention focused on engagement, wedding ceremony and divorce. The chapter regarding women and family correlates to a high degree with the chapter about women and work, attention is focused on the traditional distribution of roles and on the distribution of work at home and outside of home. The chapter "Women and Feminism" maps the demands of that ideology. The chapter "Women for Women" points to the fact that women are not always supporting each other. The chapter "Women and Cognition" analyses the possibilities and conditions of cognition of women. Comparison of offensive hand combinations to signal in male and female handball.

The work is focused on speficic handball property, offensive combinations on the signal. It monitors the differences between the concepts of individual combinations within men's and women's handball. The work was created thanks to the study of theoretical source and by examining the video records of each match. The researched teams are playing in the highest league in the Czech Republic, which are men's STRABAG Rail extraliga and women's MOL liga. The first part of the work describes basic facts about handball using its characteristic, game rules or systematic where individual game activities, game combinations and game systems belongs. The research part analyzes through video records every particular game combination on the signal playing by examined male and female teams. Similarity between both categories, efficiency or importance of game combinations for whole offensive part of the match is examined here. Then are these indicators evaluated.

Winners and Losers. Images of Women in Theodor Fontane's Novels Frau Jenny Treibel and Effi Briest

This Master's thesis deals with female characters of the socially critical novel Frau Jenny Treibel by Theodor Fontane, in order to find out whether the heroines are satisfied in their social roles or whether they try to challenge the social norms, and what role their social background and education play in this matter. Furthermore, we ask what life goals these women pursue and how successful they are in fulfilling them. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter sketches Fontane's biography with the emphasis on the importance of his numerous friendships with women and his ambivalent relationship to female emancipation. Based on literature research, the second chapter introduces poetic realism focusing on Fontane's specific position in it - as a critical realist with elements of modernity. The third, longest chapter, contains the analysis and interpretation of the individual female characters of the novel. We have found, that regardless their social class and education, the heroines live under social conventions, according to which their main goal is an advantageous marriage, functioning at the same time as the measure of their success. Man's family roles in commercials and their presence in contemporary Czech TV advertising

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the representation of man's family roles and male domesticity in marketing communication. The main objective is to describe how the man's role in the domestic sphere is portrayed in advertising and its changes through time and to find out to what extent those changes are reflected by Czech television advertising. In the theoretical part, the thesis briefly deals with the concept of masculinity, gender stereotypes in the media and their impact on the society. Then it summarizes the changes of the man's family role due to industrialization and later the emancipation of women. The pivotal part of the thesis focuses on the representation of man's family roles in advertising. Firstly, it describes traditional stereotypes connected with the representation of masculinity and the offensive portrayals of male domesticity. Furthermore, it focuses on the emerging trend of positive representation of the man's family role and fathers in particular. The practical part of the thesis consists of research. Domestic violence and its impact on child

Bachelor Thesis focuses on the issue of domestic violence and it is impact on a child. The work contains theoretical and practical part. The first chapter in a theoretical part in general, domestic violence, it is causes, consequences, and the identification of the problem. In the next chapter, the victim is characterised by a violent person and all persons who may become victims of domestic violence. The attention of tormented, abused and neglected child. It is definition, speeches, forms, causes and consequences. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the assistance to persons at risk of domestic violence prevention, intervention centres and legal framework of domestic violence in the Czech Republic. The practical part is realized as quantitative research. The research is based on the method of questionnaire which was sent to the general public in electronic form. The main purpose of this thesis and also this questionnaire is to find out how the company is informed about domestic violence and its impact on a child.
