The use of modern communication technologies by children - comparison of educational approaches.
KAHLERTOVÁ, Jindřiška
The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of parenting style on regulation of children's media use at home. The method used is meta-analysis in which come together 18 international studies on family, parenting style, children and media use. In the interpretation, the influence of parenting styles on the organization of children and the media was assessed as determining. From the quantitative and qualitative part, it comes out equally as the most suitable and the only right democratic parenting style. There is no significant concurrence of a positive emotional relationship and strong educational management in other parenting styles. It can be seen in the application of parenting styles in the Czech Republic that a relatively small proportion of adolescents are exposed to the positive influence of a democratic parenting style. In addition, the already well-known relationship between the number and placement of media in the home and problem of media usage were made visible in the analysis. There is also a very strong influence of long-term control on the rate and usage of media. Family relationships have a decisive influence on the understanding of control by the child. In families with unbalanced relationships and social situations, the primary prevention of problem of media usage may be neglected. Some shortcomings in the communication of children and parents regarding feelings of digital loneliness and their maturity to autonomous behaviour have proved interesting. These can lead to basic misunderstandings.

Migasová, Natalie ; Rynešová, Tereza (referee)
The rigorous thesis is focused on the translation, creation and subsequent use of metacognitive training (MCT) in adolescents with anxiety in group therapy. The theoretical part deals with adolescence, anxiety and with description of metacognitive training. It is supplemented by a rich representation of current research about the mental health of adolescents and the effectiveness of metacognitive therapy applied in various mental disorders. According to existing trainings, the program created by us is divided into 8 modules, with a fixed structure, held once a week. Each module focuses on a specific topic that concerns anxiety, and worksheets for each module are also used for training. Using a quasi-experiment, we measured the current level of anxiety in the pretest and posttest using standardized method STAI, and the overall self-concept measured with PHCSCS-2. We found subjective feeling of anxiety, depression, a tendency to self-harm and difficulty attending school. A total of 7 participants participated in the experimental group and 8 participants were in the control group. Five parents filled in the pretest and posttest feedback. Štromajerová, Kristýna ; Presslerová, Pavla (advisor) ; Vídršperková, Lenka (referee)
This paper focuses on adolescent girls who are clients of a diagnostic institution and have been transferred to a specialized ward with more addictive support due to substance abuse. In this ward, they then attend school facilities that are not part of the institution and, according to the documentation of said ward, they are not successful in their studies and in most cases drop out of high school or apprenticeship. Therefore, the aim of this study was to find out what are the reasons and obstacles that prevent them from successfully completing their studies. The data collection was based on semi-structured interviews with the clients, the teaching staff of the diagnostic institute, the teaching staff of the schools where the clients attend and the parents of the clients. Another method used in this thesis was a detailed analysis of the documentation of the relevant department where the clients are placed. On the basis of the analysis of the interviews by means of selective coding, 41 categories were determined and these were subsequently narrowed down to 6 coherent themes that can be considered as direct causes of the school failure of the mentioned clients: self-assessment, finances, choice of field of study, problems at primary school, method of education, lack of information of class teachers....

A quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire was used for this exploratory research. The results show that adolescents understand little about advertisement targeting on social sites and have particularly small awareness of social platforms using data collected in the background. Findings from this research can be foundational for a change in regulation or future research in this field.

Šenkýřová, Hana ; Selingerová, Eliška (advisor) ; Heniková, Marina (referee)
Veganism is a way of life based on the effort to eliminate or reduce as much as possible any form of exploitation and abuse perpetrated on animals for human needs. From a dietary point of view, we use the term veganism to exclude all foods of animal origin from the diet. Plant-based diets bring indisputable health benefits, but there may also be certain risks that need to be avoided. In recent years, interest in this lifestyle has increased and we are increasingly encountering it among children, even the youngest, who are particularly prone to health problems resulting from dietary errors. This work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part contains information about the diet during pregnancy and lactation, in childhood and adolescence. Furthermore, attention is paid to veganism, especially from a nutritional point of view. The possible risks of plant diets in children and the recommendations and attitudes of health organizations are presented. The main goal of the practical part of the work was to map what awareness of the mentioned risks and recommendations parents of vegan-eating children and adolescents have and whether they also follow the recommendations in practice. I was also interested in whether and how communication on this topic between parents and...
