Flexible Work Arrangements

The diploma thesis investigates attitudes of employers and employees towards flexible forms of working. Flexible forms of working are, for purpose of the diploma thesis, understood as a tool for work-life balance. Attention is devoted to part-time, home office, flexible working hours and job-sharing. Research of employers and employees attitudes is based on a questionnaire survey and focus groups realized within a project METR at Fond of Further Education. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out not only the actual using of flexible forms of working in companies and organizations, but also the potential for their development. The results of the diploma thesis show that flexible forms of working are very actual topic among employers and employees. However, employers are still afraid of their implementation. Part-time contracts are the most often used flexible forms of working and also have the greatest potential for the future development. Work-Life Balance of Employees

Diploma thesis is deal with the topic of work-life balance in the chosen company. The thesis is divided into three parts – theorethical, analytical and final part. The theorethical part explains atractivity and importance of this topic and describes individual approaches allowing work-life balance and concurrently indicate possible problems of different approaches from the perspective of the employer and the employees. The analytical part examines and evaluate the currect status of chosen company. In the final part are suggested measures based on theoretical knowledge and findings which should lead to a better balance between work and personal lives of employees in a chosen company.

66 Abstract - Flexible forms of working hours This diploma thesis deals with the flexible forms of working hours and its goal is to describe this issue in intelligible and comprehensive way. It is being very interesting and current theme which is to a great extent not subject to direct legal regulations and provides its contracting parties with a big amount of freedom of contract. This fact assists in bigger flexibilization of labour market and represents a significant instrument in the fight against unemployment and economic crisis. This thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter One introduces the term flexible forms of working hours and briefly describes the content of following chapters. Chapter Two delimits the area of labour law in relation to other branches of law and describes law principles relating to labour law. The following Chapter Three deals with legal regulations of working hours, its length, ways of allotment and international legal regulations. Chapter Four represents an introduction to the flexible forms of working hours. The Proposal of Effective Work-life Balance in Selected Company

The aim of thesis is a proposal how to improve a work-life balance at the city council and identify the most common problems the company and people are dealing with. The main highlighted benefit are factual results of research – data from real respondents – employees working hours and the analysis of the real benefits for the company which are used as a base for the real proposal of the implementation.
The Development of Employment in Czech Republic in Comparison with Other European Countries

The aim of this thesis is to describe the czech labour market and compare it with other european countries. Theoretical part of this thesis describes common labour market characteristics and definitions which are necessary for the practical part. The other theoretical part presents surveys which are carried out in this field and from which the data are obtained. The third category of theoretical part focuses on population and the ageing labour market, fourth part describes flexible jobs as one of the potentional possible solutions. Practical part is divided into three parts. First of them describes czech labour market from 1993 till the present days. The focus was on its structure same as basic labour market rates. In the second part, czech labour market is compared with other european coutries. To avoid the influence of different age structure of populations the method of standardization is used for the comparison. In the final part the cluster analysis method is used to find countries that are similar to Czech republic according to their labour market conditions.
Flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and Switzerland

The aim of the thesis is to study and compare flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and Switzerland from 2005 to 2014. The theoretical part defines basic terms of the labor market, major transformations of the current labor market and labor legislation of the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Comparative and factorial analysis are used in the practical part to analyse basic indicators and flexible forms of work of in the Czech and Swiss labor market. The analysis is then set in the broader context of microeconomic and macroeconomic conditions and educational systems in the Czech Republic and Switzerland. The main differences between Swiss and Czech flexibility of the labor market and the typical worker employed under flexible employment in the Czech Republic and Switzerland are drawn from the performed analysis.
The impact of ageing of the population to the Czech economy and comparison with selected European countries among years 2005 and 2015

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the current situation of the Czech republic in comparison to other European countries. The thesis focuses on the evaluation of the evolution of the population of the Czech Republic and the impact to the balance of the pension account. Furthermore the thesis analyses specific factors including the influence it will have on employment beyond a pensionable age in comparison with other European countries, concentrating more on Norway and Great Britain. It evaluates that the Czech Republic is below the average in the most of the selected factors. Using structured interview, monitors the situation of employees beyond 50 years old, including their satisfaction at work, the possibility of flexible forms of work, awareness of pension systems and their personal attitude to working beyond the pensionable age.

The subject of this thesis is Work-Life Balance - the reconciliation of professional and personal lives. The primary objective of this work is to analyze employee satisfaction in achieving a balance between the professional and personal life and to develop recommendations for employer on that basis. The theoretical portion of this work defines the issues surrounding Work-Life Balance and tools that employees can use to harmonize the two with an analysis of applications in the Czech Republic and across the European Union. The practical portion of the study analyzes employee satisfaction in real-world cases. On the basis of both components, the study offers recommendations for policy improvements to foster better Work-Life Balance.
