Linguistic analysis of weather forecasts as an informative text. Action research

1 ABSTRACT This thesis is named Linguistic Analysis of weather forecasts and is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the first part of this thesis readers can find general knowledge of field of media: the term media communication is defined, specifics are described, it is talked about a media product, content and meaning. After that we mention media audience with respect to the pupil as a special type of recipient. The following is a characteristic of television weather forecasts within the media communication and analysis of its typical means of expression. The last part of this section is the description of the school curriculum, especially the media education, because the research was made in the schools and the main goals of this thesis were based on requirements of curricula of the Czech Republic. The second part presents the motivation of investigation and the method of the action research that was chosen. The largest part of this section is the part containing the whole evaluation and interpretation of the results of particular activities, both propaedeutic and proactive with the media product. Name Art as a starting point in the process of a class educational program for preschool children Abstract This work in its theoretical part specifies the definition of art education, work and art techniques at kindergartens. It describes both the historical and the current ideas on changes of art creation of pre-school children. It goes into the solutions, competency, preparations and the actual creation of a class curriculum for pre-school children at contemporary kindergartens. The empirical part describes experience of my colleagues in the creation of a class curriculum with a focus on the global view, motivation and integrated programmes. The practical part illustrates the class curriculum based on a year-round project which comes out of art activities. There is a motivational theme that goes through the whole project and motivates children in other spheres of education as well. There is an offer of activities and a close relation to other subjects which are based on the art creation of children or lead to the creation by art works. The whole project culminates with a theatre performance which is made by children themselves. Transformation of the curriculum in the field of Gastronomy 65-41-L/01, in the subject Vocational training

Introduction The main objective is to detect changes in the curriculum of vocational training in the subject field gastronomy. The work follows the overall insertion training in vocational training in selected periods; content filling training, implementation possibilities training in terms of legal status and the possibility of curriculum reform in the field of gastronomy, due to the employment of graduates in the labor market. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the historical definition of the term gastronomy, its historical development, from ancient times to the present situation in Czech Republic. Part of this part is also characteristic of concept development specialist education in secondary education and called. curricular reform in the Czech Republic. In the second part we will work effort to summarize the information submitted in the first part and demonstrate their application and impact of the current form of expert education in secondary schools in the Czech Republic.

PhDr. Jana Uhlířová, CSc. Abstract: The aim of this work is a comparison of contemporary French and Czech kindergarden in some significant aspects. These are (i) educational goals in the kindergardens and (ii) conception of the preschool education and daily schedule of a kindergarten class. This work consists of two major parts, the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part discusses an embedding of a kindergarden in the educational system, conception of a child, conditions of child care in a preschool age and, finally, it precisely analyzes legislative documents of the educational programs in France and the Czech republic. The analysis also includes a translation of selected parts of French curriculum. The empirical part of this work is based on observation of a daily schedule and conditions in which the preschool education takes place. The comparison of both above mentioned aspects highlights the differences between a conception of a child and the application of the theoretical document in practice in both countries, the Czech republic and France. Causes of reading decline, their analysis and possible remedy

The diploma thesis examines the causes of the decline of reading, it deals with the analysis and possible remediation. The theoretical part introduces the concept of literacy, it monitors the current state of reading and it is based on the research findings. It analyzes the Framework educational programme closely related to literacy, it draws on relevant theoretical foundations, and presents reading strategies, methods and programmes that support the mentioned area. Family, school, teachers and significant motivation are identified as important factors of literacy development. Within the indicative empirical investigation the thesis focuses on the content analysis of School education programmes and teacher approach to literacy support. It refers to the development of reading in various areas of education for older pupils of primary school.
Term of evolution and its understanding by students of secondary schools and high schools

This thesis deals with the conception of evolutionary topic in schools and textbooks. It introduces education systems and curricular documents of England, Scotland and the Czech Republic. Based on this information an analysis of biology textbooks was made, which was focused on the theme of evolution. The research included 62 textbooks distributed by 27 different publishers. Comparative SWOT analysis of these textbooks has shown that the concept of biology in general is presented differently, what is also reflected in the interpretation of the studies of evolution. The questionnaire research based on those findings was done in the Czech Republic. It is focused on secondary school and high school pupil's knowledge and their personal opinions about this topic. 586 pupils took part in this research. It was found that in the context of evolutionary processes the pupils have problems to use commonly known biological, or evolutionary terms (e.g. adaptation, evolution of the organisms). On the other hand some pupils can easily define some more complicated evolutionary topics such as Neo-Darwinism. Pupils have quite various personal opinions on the issue of the evolution. Curricular reform in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic and its comparison in terms of legal constitution, conduct and attitudes of the educational staff

The main objective of this work is to identify similarities and differences of the curricular reform in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in terms of legal constitution, conduct and attitudes of the educational staff. As a research method uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, textual analysis of documents (legal norms, conceptual and strategic documents) and the questionnaire (opinions and attitudes of teachers). Respondents for the survey were selected by stratified selection to include leading educators and ordinary teachers, primary and secondary schools in both countries. The comparison showed that the process of curriculum reform in both countries are very similar, although the Slovak conducted with less delay. Framework educational programs in the Czech Republic and public education programs to Slovak consistently beyond the compulsory education through learning objectives, competencies, learning outcomes and course content. Content, but among them there are also differences. Quantitative research has demonstrated a lower level of acceptance of reforms in the Slovak Republic in comparison, which is related to a lower degree of familiarity of teachers in the country. Education on Healthy Lifestyle at Secondary School ABSTRAKT This thesis deals with am issue of healthy lifestyle among pupils at secondary schools. The aim of the thesis is to find out information, or knowledge, attitudes to and perception of the hidden curriculum of school corresponding to healthy lifestyles area. The theoretical part pursues the analysis of the concept of health and healthy lifestyle, includes a view of curriculum documents related to educational training for health and focuses on teacher as the major component affecting students in shaping the relationship and the principles relating to a healthy lifestyle. Practical part describes the level of knowledge of students, the degree of compliance with the principles of a healthy lifestyle and a measure of the hidden curriculum, which the pupils at the school are influenced by. Based on the results of the research the design for inspiration of the theme of healthy lifestyle education, which can be used in teaching practice, is stated.
