This diploma thesis focuses on the teaching of the Earth's natural components at 2nd degree of the primary school. The main goal of this thesis was to create didactic case studies focusing on the teaching of the Earth's system components in the 6th grade of 2nd degree of the primary school. The school is located in Český Krumlov. The secondary goal of this thesis was an analysis of textbooks for the 6th grade of primary school, which were approved by the ministry of Education. In the theoretical part we are focusing on the role of the topic in the Framework educational program for primary school education and the evolution of didactic of geography.

Consumption of energy drinks by pupils at a selected lower secondary school ABSTRACT The presented bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of energy drinks consumption by pupils at a selected lower secondary school. The concept energy drink is described in the introduction to the theoretical part of the thesis. Furthemore, the theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of the most common components in energy drinks. Subsequently, the thesis focuses mainly on the amount of sweeteners in selected energy drinks on the Czech market. In the practical part of the thesis there is a questionnaire survey investigated among pupils at the lower secondary school in Český Brod, where their general awareness of energy drinks is ascertained. Pupil's hyperkinetic disorders from the teacher's point of view

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the issue of educating a pupil with ADHD from the perspective of a teacher who has experience with teaching this pupil. At the same time, it focuses on the second stage of primary school, where, due to a pupil with ADHD, there is a risk that the teacher will have false expectations from him that are not in line with his disorder. For this reason, for the elaboration of this topic, emphasis is placed primarily on the perspective of the teacher, who is an important figure in the pupil's life, having a great influence not only on his school success. The aim of the work is to understand the relationship between teacher and student with ADHD and also to describe the phenomena that have a negative or positive effect on its building. To deepen the knowledge, the work is enriched by the perspective of school psychologists, who, among other things, contributed to the understanding of the issue of educating children, which differ. The theoretical part first mentions basic information about ADHD, including its diagnosis or etiology, but also additional information about the brain of people with ADHD or about the positive aspects of ADHD. Verification of procedures of work with poetry in grades 6-9

This thesis is dealing with verification of procedures of work with poetry at grades 6- 9. Term of poetry and concisely summarized development of poetry for children and young is defined in the theoretical part. Chapter Poetry at school is dealing with position of poetry in curriculum documents, with the role of teacher by teaching poetry and with reading- books and methodical manuals, which teacher can use. Teaching methods and closer specified of methods destined especially for work with poetry are defined further. Theoretical part concludes characteristic of pupils at grades 6-9 from evolutionary psychologic's view. Practical part intorduces a brief characteristic of lections, there is an explanation of their structure and sorting. In the next part is explained methodology of choosing texts, description of the enviroment of primary school Hanspaulka, where the lections were verified, and pupils who worked with. After that follows each lection for different classes of upper level of primary school. The lections were verified and also evaluated. Supplemetnal worksheets which were used in lections as well are added.
Impact of the Family on Learners' Success at Lower Secondary Schools

This diploma thesis was focused on the influence of family on the school success of lower secondary students. Theoretical part of the thesis was created on the base of compilation and comparison of literature. The experimental part was made by qualitative research. The aim of this part was to explore more deeply the influence of divorce on school success of lower secondary students especially at the subjects English and Civics. Responsibilities of a form master at a contemporary lower secondary school

The diploma thesis deals with the definition of the responsibilities of a form master at a lower secondary school. The aim is to describe which activities should constitute the responsibilities of a form master at a lower secondary school, which activities form masters actually carry out, how their responsibilities are defined, and the way the form masters are informed about what they are expected to do. The theoretical part provides an overview of what can be found about form masters' work and their responsibilities in the specialized literature. In the practical part, documents issued by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Czech School Inspectorate were scrutinised using the method document analysis. The analysis has shown that these documents do not contain any lucid definition of a form master and nor do they provide any list of their responsibilities. The second research method used in this thesis is a structured interview with four form masters working at different lower secondary schools. The interviews helped to find out what responsibilities these four form masters have to carry out and how they were informed about them. Student's Inquiry Skills at Lower Secondary School

Scientific thinking is an essential skill for full application in society associated with responsible human decision-making. The development of research skills and knowledge also contributes to its complexity. For the possibility of their systematic development, it is necessary to map the current situation of students in primary schools. The aim of the work was to find out what are the research skills of these students in the field of correctly formulating a research question based on specific problem and after finding a solution to formulate an answer to a given research question. Four research-oriented tasks were used, which were solved by 58 students from the seventh grade of primary school. It was found that more than half of the students are not able to formulate the research question correctly and more than one third of the students are unable to formulate the answer to the given research question correctly.
Comparing strategies when solving some types of word problems

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of comparing strategies when solving selected types of word problems. The theoretical part deals with the notion of concept cartoons, selected types of word problems, the process and strategies for solving word problems and the results of foreign studies that focus on the influence of the comparison of solving strategies in teaching mathematics. The practical part of the work includes an analysis of selected Czech textbooks of mathematics for the lower secondary school, including teacher books, focusing both on the occurrence of multiple solving strategies for the same word problem and on didactic approach to the selected types of word problems. The core of the work is 15 original worksheets, consisting of concept cartoons, in which two hypothetical students present their solutions to the same type of a word problem. This work also includes a proposal on how to implement such a worksheet in class, along with a proposal for a possible continuation of the use of comparing strategies in mathematics teaching.
Didactic analysis and proposal of the topic: "My family" in Civics at Lower Secondary School

This thesis analyses the approach to the concept of family in general Czech educational programme, specific educational programs of selected schools and currently used textbooks for Civics. The analysis is put into the context of current state of knowledge of the topic Czech family. Based on these findings, a teaching concept of the topic family at Lower Secondary Schools is presented. The proposed concept aims to help the children understand their family situation as well as prepare them for future situations while respecting the children's privacy. It combines methods of cooperative teaching, competence learning and unstructured staging. In the proposed concept, children form groups representing simulated families and take roles of given family members. A list of supporting teaching materials is attached in the appendix.
