Evaluation of teaching in nursery schools in the Central Region

3 ABSTRACT: Final thesis deals with the question of evaluation of teaching in nursery schools. It provides information on what forms of assessment are used, which methods are the most frequently chosen, and what evaluation criteria to determine school. The paper also asked whether the evaluation in kindergartens focuses on the progress of the educational process or learning outcomes. The theoretical part provides an overview of the importance of individual concepts in the management of the educational process and its evaluation. A substantial part of the research, which was conducted through a questionnaire survey and analysis of the annual CSI. The result is a mapping of the current state of management and evaluation of teaching in nursery schools. Applying particular criteria for measuring effectiveness of pedagogical process - comparing elementary and secondary school in Pardubice region

Focusing on school effectiveness as one part of the pedagogical evaluation, we get to the pedagogical process. The quality of the pedagogical process makes the base for the effective functioning of the school. Therefore the evaluation of the pedagogical process has to be the essential part of the school evaluation. The aim of this bachelor paper is to find out whether the managements of primary and secondary schools in Pardubice Region use the same criteria of evaluation in different areas of the pedagogical process and to make comparison of the primary and secondary schools. The method of inquiry is used to fulfil this aim. The first part of the paper is focused on the theory of the evaluation of the pedagogical process. The second part is practical and deals with the above-mentioned comparison. The conclusion of the paper assesses the inquiry results.
Criteria for evaluation LMS in primary schools

Impact of ČŠI on practice activities of nursery schools

The disertation focuses on Czech School Inspectorate (CSI) and its impact on the preschool institutions in the region of Lanškroun. What are the criteria used in evaluating the work of kindergarten, what laws are governed in their work and what the implications of its findings are to the school management and decision-making processes in them. The thesis comrises the historical introduction of the state supervision over schools, the development of CSI, the comparison of school inspection systems in other EU countries, the extent of competency of the Czech School Inspectorate. The research shows that the Czech School Inspectorate has the positive impact on management in the kindergartens, it gives the essential feedback to the kindergarten headmasters. The headmasters consider the CSI evaluation to be the further step in their work. The determined conclusions are the results of the questionnaire to the headmasters, the analysis of inspection reports as the outcome of CSI activities in selected kindergartens in the region of Lanškroun. Evidence of leasing in literature environmental education, grades 5 of elementary school

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of assessment, introduction of formative evaluation in literature environmental education at grades 5 of elementary school. It focuses on linking the assessment of outcomes of pupils evaluation with real evidence of learning from their work in literature environmental education classes. Through the mediation of action research, it examines possible forms of such evidence for the educational goals, ways and criteria for their assessment. It is based on an analysis of documents created by pupils of grades 5 of elementary school. On the basis of the newly - emerged learnings evidence, it proposes possible further steps in the teaching and evaluation process aimed at improving pupils' search and understanding of literary texts. It analyses the ability of pupils of a particular class to search, link and infer information from text and proposes the further steps in reading lessons within literature environmental education classes, in which pupils develop their reading strategies in a targeted way and move towards the goal using the criteria of success. Evaluation and self-evaluation of educators at a specific primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with a detailed examination of the evaluation and self-evaluation of pedagogical workers at the primary school level. The theoretical part describes the aims and importance of evaluation and self-evaluation of pedagogical staff, basic methods, forms and criteria of evaluation and self-evaluation at school. It refers to the classification of evaluation methods. It describes basic and accompanying methods, which include: motivation-evaluation interview, MBO method, 360ř feedback, rating scale, free description, checklist or observations. The empirical part describes the objectives of the research. It specifies research questions, methods of data acquisition and processing, etc. The empirical part is conceived as a case study whose aim is to describe the methods, forms and criteria of evaluation and self- evaluation of pedagogical workers at specific school in Liberec, the Czech Republic. The research is based on interviews with the headmaster of the school, questionnaires for all teachers and also interviews with selected teachers of the school.
