The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to discuss the issue of specific learning disabilities, with primary focus on upper secondary school students and their education. The theoretical part provides clarification of the individual disabilities as well as their classification into categories. The important factors leading to the development of learning disabilities at young age are explained in this part of thesis. Particular emphasis is placed on the methods of diagnostics of individual learning difficulties, on investigation of re- educational activities and remedial measures. The question of appropriate assessment of students with specific disorders is discussed in depth. In addition, the current system of professional counselling for students with specific learning needs and the forms of individual learning plans already put in praxis will be introduced. The theoretical part will be based on using of scientific methods of primary and secondary sources´analysis and synhesis. The qualitative research conducted on the upper secondary schools located in the South Moravian region will constitute the empirical part of the thesis. School surveys will be distributed to sample teachers with the aim to gather data related to the practical aspects of education. The main focus will be put on collecting opionions, practical approaches and values held by teachers concerning working with students facing learning disabilities. The outcome of the research will be a set of comprehensive recommendations to improve pedagogical work and to increase learning opportunities for young people with learing difficulties.
Testimonies of adolescents and adults with dyslexia, dyslexia - a problem or a advantage

The diploma thesis deals with the testimonies of adolescents and adults with dyslexia, it deals with the idea of whether dyslexia is a problem or an advantage for a person. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic concepts such as dyslexia and its effects on people in society. The first chapter is devoted to the types of approaches to education and the support of individuals with specific learning disabilities. The second chapter deals with the factors that affect the personality of adolescents and adults with SLD. The third chapter describes support and intervention for people with dyslexia. The main goal of the thesis and research is to specify individuals with dyslexia in the context of their self-concept and involvement in society. The practical part of the diploma thesis has been realized by means of a qualitative research survey. Learning styles and their effectivness amongst pupils with specific learning disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with learning styles and their effectiveness amongst pupils with specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part describes the problems of specific learning disorders, the current legislation and the possibilities of care for pupils with specific learning disabilities in school counseling facility, learning styles, learning habits amongst pupils with specific learning disorders and basic diagnostics of learning styles. The practical part is focused on the research and includes quantitative research which focuses on revealing the predominant style of learning at the second level of elementary school amongst pupils with learning disabilities and its comparison with the regular population of pupils. The thesis also answers a range of questions, such as, what helps learners who have learning disabilities to make the most out of their work, what disturbs the learners during learning, and compares these findings with pupils without any learning disabilities. The results of the survey revealed that pupils with specific learning disabilities involved in the research are predominant in the auditory style of learning. There were no differences found between predominant learning styles in pupils with learning disabilities and pupils without these disorders.

This thesis deals with specific learning disabilities on the first level of primary education. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of the basic concepts, to the etiology of the occurrence of specific learning disabilities and to the classification of their manifestation. It draws up the possibilities of the diagnostics and of the follow-up re-education. It describes the possibilities of educating students with disabilities at basic schools or individually. The practical part of this thesis focuses on exploring the issue of specific learning disabilities on the first level of primary education, namely, in the third and fourth grade. Three case reports whose results most visibly pointed to a problem are also present here.
Movement options in individuals with dyslexia

This research bachelor thesis titled "Physical Options in Dyslexic Individuals" highlights the issue of this specific learning disorder. It summarizes current knowledge about dyslexia in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and other appropriate physical activities. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical part describes dyslexia within other specific learning disorders, determines its definition, typology and the search for causes of its origin. Herein, it depicts the knowledge in terms of building diversity and the functioning of the CNS and the reading process. The next section focuses on the secondary manifestations of this disorder. The special part deals with dyslexia in the context of physiotherapy, its influence on postural control. It compares current methods that try to move their postural system, movement skills and the disorder itself. This part offers an overview of appropriate therapies and activities for dyslectics. The last practical part is focused on the influence of dyslexia on the postural system of these individuals. The content is an indikative examination that compares 12 dyslectic individuals with each other. Substitute Family Care - The Importance and Benefits of Foster Care

This work is focused on the evaluation and verification of the criteria of success foster care on the basis of their own experience. Affects the overall trend of the development of the child in the context of the family and the wider society. The key theme of this study is, above all, approach the importance and advantages of foster care, or clarify so much discussed questions of education of children in substitute family environment in terms of celospolečenského scale. To achieve the desired outcome here were used not only to their own knowledge and experience, which are processed in the individual kasuistikách, but also the conclusions of the expert examination of pedagogical-psychological counseling and specially-educational centre. The thesis has been processed on the basis of personal long- standing observation and study the behaviour of children in foster care, which are pursued and carried out directly in the family of the author thesis. Influence of specific learning disorders on self-confidence and self-appreciation of eighth and ninth classes elementary school pupils

This thesis was focused on pupils of eighth and ninth classes of elementary school. The influence of specific learning disorders on pupils'self-esteem and self-confidence was investigated and subsequently the influence of specific learning disorders on their choice of grammar school. To achieve the thesis aims, the auther used the mixed method approach. One hundred and thirty-four persons (pupils with specific learning disorders, their parents and upper elementary school teachers) participated in this research. Some data obtained by non- standardized methods were confronted with outputs from standardized methods. Research investigation revealed feelings and experience of pupils with specific learning disorders. The possibility of additional research was outlined. The low awareness of non-professional community about possibilities of study of pupils with specific learning disorders at grammar schools was found as well as very weak awareness of the upper elementary school teachers in Kralovehradecko about appropriate legislative provisions concerning pupils with specific learning disorders interested in study at grammar schools.

TITLE: Learning strategies of students at high school SUMARRY: The bachelor thesis is focused on learning strategies of students at high school with learning disabilities. The task of the theoretical part is to describe principles, methods and compensation aids. The theoretical part I drew from the scientific literature. The aim of my thesis is to reveal learning strategies which students use. I have achieved the aim by using my survey and case studies. Swimming training of children with specific learning disabilities in younger school age

The work was reflecting the effect of basic swimming training and the water environment on the fine motor skills of the upper limbs in a group of pupils with specific learning disabilities. Part of the work is a comparison with a group of pupils of the same age with specific learning disabilities without said swimming training. The main goal of the work is to observe a group of pupils from a Prague based private elementary school with focus on education of children with specific learning disabilities and evaluation of potential changes in fine motor skills of the upper limbs. The selected group of pupils consisted of children diagnosed with one or more specific learning disability, such as developmental dysphasia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, ADHD syndrome and Asperger's syndrome in ages 8 to 10. The training was a mandatory basic swimming training in third grade and happened during the school year 2018/2019 with total of 15 participants. Input testing for fine motor skills and test of level of swimming abilities were organised in the beginning of the training. Output testing was organised in February of 2019 after completion of 20 hours of swimming training.
