Animal models of psychosis - the assessment of EEG and the levels of monoamines in the CNS of the rat

The present work describes animal models of psychosis with the aim on monoamine levels and behavioral/EEG findings. The general part is focused on reporting biochemical and EEG findings in patients with schizophrenia, followed by animal models of schizophrenia and their EEG findings. In the special part, results of behavioral and EEG parameters in three animal models of psychosis are presented. A study by Palenicek et al, 2013 described serotoninergic animal model and showed that 4-bromo-2,5-dimetoxyfenyletylaminu (2C-B) induced deficit in prepulse inhibition of startle reaction and produced dose related biphasic changes in the locomotion (i.e. hypolocomotion was followed by the hyperlocomotion). Low doses of 2C-B decreased EEG power and coherence, while high doses had a temporary biphasic effect with an initial decline followed by an increase in power - a similar effect was also observed in the coherence. In microdialysis study, increased levels of dopamine and its metabolites homovanilic acid and 3-methoxytyramine and decreased levels of 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid in the nucleus accumbens are described. The increase in the EEG power and coherence after the 2C-B application was associated with an increase in locomotion and congruently with elevated dopamine levels in the nucleus accumbens....

User interface for data extraction from GenBank data format

This bachelor thesis contains a literature review on the topic of the GenBank database, its most used flat file format gbk and its comparison with other formats of sequential data. Furthermore this thesis describes the structure of mitochondrial DNA of animals and plants and plastid DNA of plants. In the practical part of this thesis is evaluation of successful automatic data extraction from GenBank flat file format from whole mitochondrial sequences by genbankread function in Matlab. And it describes also a new application for GenBank data extraction. In the end this application is used in analyses of mitochondrial genomes.

Skeletal Animations in Real-time 3D Graphics Abstract Skeletal animation is an effective technique for the animation of humans and animals, and it is used in most video games to animate complex 3D models. This thesis addresses many problems of the implementation of skeletal animations and it presents an effective solution to the most important ones. It contains all the knowledge necessary to use this important animation method, because it explains all the calculations required to transform a model by its skeleton, and then this thesis presents a complete implementation that uses all the concepts explained there. Build on the skeletal animations, the animation editor is the main application of the thesis, and it allows users to modify animations of 3D models. The animation editor is a graphical application with complex user interface and its construction is explained in a great detail.

Trading on the Internet is a modern way of offering products and services. Electronic auction belongs among interesting ways of trading on the Internet. The aim of this work is to analyze, design and implement e-commerce. Inaukce is a web application which convey auction or bazaar sale of various items on the Internet. Users access the application in different roles using web browser. These roles differ in users rights. After being logged on, users with appropriate rights can offer or buy items. In the administrative role, there is a option to manage user accounts and traded items. System monitoring is also available.

Quality Management in public administration with a focuse on the application of the model CAF

The work deals with the methods of quality management and performance management in the field of public administration. The theoretical part is focused on a description of models and methods of quality management standards such as ISO 9000 series, EFQM Excellence Model, Benchmarking and method of Balanced Scorecard. There is more space for model CAF because of its increasing popularity in the field of public administration. The practical part is focused on the application of the model CAF to regional authorities and municipal offices. The main goal of my work is through an evaluation questionnaire survey pointed out that the office appears interested in the introduction of new tools for improving quality. In what direction the authorities in the field of quality management moving and why this interest is growing or declining.

Using hislochemical analysis (NADPH-diaphorase) we have been investigating the influence of intraperitoneal administration of kainic acid, hypoxia and combination of both these factors on neurons of the hippocampus and on the primary auditory cortex in male rats of the Wistar strain. Kainic acid was administered to 12-day-old and I8-day-old animals, which were exposed to long-lasting repeated hypoxia from the 2nd till the 17th day of age in a hypobaric chamber (for 8 hours a day). At the age of 22, 90 and 365 days, the animals were transcardially perfused with 4% paraformaldehyde under deep thiopental anesthesia. Cryostate sections were stained to identify NADPH-d positive neurons that were then quantified in CA1 and CA3 areas of the hippocampus, in the hilus, dorsal and ventral blade of the dentate gyrus and in the primary auditory cortex. In 22-day-old animals with kainic acid administered 18th day of life both hypoxia and kainic acid increased the number of NADPH-d positive neurons in the hilus, CA1 and CA3 areas of the hippocampus and in the primary auditory cortex. On the contrary, kainic acid given to the hypoxic animals lowered the number of NADPH-d positive neurons in the dentate gyrus. Thesis deals with application of anti-money-laundering legislature in tax attorney environment. A general theory of money laundering is discussed and legal requirements on tax attorney are presented resulting from act 253/2008 Coll. on selected measures against legitimization of proceeds of crime and financing of terrorism "Anti-money-laundering Act". Selected tax Attorney Company is then analyzed in terms of anti-money-laundering clauses and their practical application. Finally a specific AML internal control system is created with suggestions on implementation in this company.

Opportunities for the Use of Aspects of Art Education in Children of a Pre-school Age

V úvodní části jsem popsala a vymezila teoretický základ artefiletiky. Pro aplikaci modelu artefiletického pojetí, jsem vytvořila nový koncept pro předškolní dítě. Pro jeho praktickou neověřenost jsem zvolila metodu případové studie. Jelikož jde o nový koncept, který není v praxi ověřen, proto jsem Pomocí jeho aplikace jsem se přiblížila a odvodila prekoncept předškolního dítěte. Ze všech pojetí, která česká výtvarná výchova nabízí, mě oslovilo právě pojetí artefiletické, jehož pojetí mě přivedlo ke zjištění, že tato alternativa výtvarné výchovy klade velký nárok na teoretickou přípravu učitele, ale i na jeho sociální cítění a další vzdělávání v oboru. Artefiletika je reflektivní, tvořivé a zážitkové pojetí vzdělávání a výchovy, které vychází z vizuální kultury nebo jiných expresivních kulturních projevů, jejímž cílem je obohacování kulturního kapitálu dítěte, rozvoj jeho sociálních kompetencí a prevence psycho-sociálních selhávání prostřednictvím uměleckých aktivit, reflektovaných v dětské skupině.
