Preeschool facility holiday service in the Czech republic

This final work deals with the matters of service and organizational schemes in nurseries during the summer term. It monitors the problematic of summer service from various points of view: from those of the managing directors to parents' views. These views are analysed and compared. The work also tries to find out the specifics of the summer service related to the location of the nursery. It examines the legislation regulating the summer service at nurseries, its observance and adequacy as managing staff support tool. The work also offers alternative solutions, which could be appreciated by both directors and parents.

I have chosen the above mentioned theme of my Master's Thesis not only with respect to my professional management activities but also due to my personal interest in issues of modern technologies affecting all of the areas of personal and work life. The purpose of diploma thesis is not only to elaborate the summary of tools already applied in the Internet environment for use of marketing and Public Relations classical music but also the summary of new and emerging tools that could be applied for such use but have not yet been applied in classical music. Generally, this thesis deals with the chosen theme at user level and describes current applicable means available at the Internet with regard to possible use for institutions functioning in clasical music. It summarizes obtained data on current and emerging technologies and provides a comprehensive and user-friendly survey of given issues.

Venture Capital and Private Equity Investment

The thesis deals with venture capital and private equity from investor's point of view first. There are presented different types of investors, management companies and funds and the relation among these subjects. Venture capital and private equity is an alternative to finance business activities from the entrepreneurial perspective and this paper provides profile of an appropriate company and explains the relation between the investment fund and the company. The analytical part focuses on investment activity in the Czech Republic and the findings about level and structure are analysed with regard to selected factors from business and investment environment.

Analysis, design and implementation of CRM solutions for selected company

Bachelor thesis focuses on the area of information systems, which are used to support customer relationship management in companies. The main objective of this work is to provide a sample of solution for CRM system implementation for real customer from the banking sector. The first part defines basic functional areas of any CRM application. Each of these areas is described in more detail in terms of its primary use and tasks that within the CRM as a whole performs. Further is described the analytical area of CRM application (or Customer Intelligence), which is gradually playing a key role in the entire CRM system in past few years. It includes its potential uses in various fields. At the end of the theoretical part, the author compares the fundamental differences between cloud model of deployment and traditional on-premise solution. The practical part focuses on the main objective of the thesis and description of the supplied solution in the form of a module, which extends the existing CRM application with the option for business partners registration of Hypoteční banka, a. s. and ČSOB Pojišťovna, centralized in one system. The requirement is build in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and as the source system it is used CRM system of Hypoteční banka, a. s..

Creation of the Enterprise Architecture model according to the TOGAF framework

The present diploma thesis aims at introducing the Enterprise Architecture and creating an abstract model of a company. The primary focus is on application and process layers as defined in the architecture framework TOGAF. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical chapter starts with a business model analysis which means to describe mission vision and companys values as a part of the strategy framework. Furthermore the business processes are described in the latter part of this section. This chapter attempts to explain how to map a business process and to categorize it by nature and maturity level. Penultimate chapter introduces the Enterprise Architecture in general. This section includes arguments as to why the companies should be concerned with the Enterprise Architecture advantages of the Enterprise Architecture implementation into the companys documentation relationship of companys core business and IT and examples of the Enterprise Architecture frameworks. The last chapter deals with the TOGAF framework where Architecture Development Method is described. This means how Enterprise Architecture model is created and how to implement changes into the layers according to the TOGAF framework. Simultaneously the last section of this chapter describes the reference models which provide graphical overview of all abstractions layers. The practical part of the thesis elaborates on the theoretical part using the Architecture Development Method process in order to create the Enterprise Architecture model according to TOGAF framework. Same as the theoretical part it only focuses on the application and process layer. Firstly the business model is decomposed into vision mission and companys values to the companys strategy and business goals in order to grasp further understanding of business processes detailed description. Subsequently the abovementioned aspects are recomposed to create process map which provides the management overview. The application layer undergoes the same process; nonetheless the process map is replaced by information system description and reference model creation. Once the models are created the thesis compares them with the business and strategic goals. The benefit brought by this thesis is critical evaluation of current status to propose changes to achieve target architacture according business and strategic goals established by management.

Analysis of corporate philanthropy as a strategic tool of corporate social responsibility in the Czech Republic and France

The subject of this thesis is to point out the growing importance of the corporate social responsibility and the sustainable business concept of firms in the Czech Republic and abroad, integrating corporate philanthropy into their long-term strategy. The basic terms and close connection of the corporate donation policy and social responsibility are explained. Corporate foundations present the strategic tool. First chapter is an introduction to philanthropy with the definition of basic terms. Second chapter deals in detail with importance of social responsibility in the Czech Republic and France, focusing on the role of corporate foundations, their activities and comparing the situation in both countries. Practical chapter analyzes the activities of selected corporate foundations in order to capture examples of good and bad practice. Subsequently, the observation is summarized and future developments are outlined. Last chapter provides practical advice and considerations for companies considering establishing their own foundation. Implementing and improving proposals of the efficiency and quality of their management are finally submitted.

Change management and human resources within an organization

The main purpose of this diploma thesis is the interconnection of three subjects. Change management, people management during changes and economic crisis, which has affected worldwide economics during the years of 2008 to 2010. The methods and tools of change management could be applied to any change concerning an organization. Starting with partial changes, changes in particular processes or departments, concluding with overall, strategic changes, such as company restructuring, reengineering, fusion etc. One type of the changes presents the external changes, such as the economic recession. However, this external change causes many internal changes, where the companies decrease the costs, restructure particular department and change the strategy. In connection with that, the work focuses on the area of people management from the point of the human resources managers as well as executive management. The process of managing changes resulting from the crisis is followed by many changes in the personnel management sector. In this paper are compared three independent researches concerning the reaction of companies to the unfavorable economical situation. Government debt policy: modern approach through derivatives and alternative bonds

This master thesis discusses alternative debt management instruments - GDP-linked bonds. It provides concise characterization of sovereign debt management. Additionally, it discusses traditional derivatives, such as futures, swaps and bonds, from the government's point of view. The main goal of the thesis is to verify whether GDP-linked bonds are suitable for the Czech and Slovak debt management. Ergo, the bonds could smooth the cost of serving the debt. Furthermore, it describes the development of the sovereign debt and risk premium of the government bonds of the Czech and Slovak republics. It tries to find out whether the risk premium of Slovak bonds differed after introduction of euro. Additionally, the thesis analyzes the effect of various country specific variables on the development of the risk premium. The last but not least goal is to support or reject the hypothesis whether the GDP-linked bonds should be appealing to European economic and monetary union as the members has to satisfied Stability and Growth Pact requirements. The conclusion of the thesis is that the hypothesis of positive effect of the GDP-linked bonds on the cost of serving debt is partly rejected in case of the Czech and Slovak republics as well as in the case of European economic and monetary union.
