Influence of Primary Family Upbringing on the Form of Intimate Life of Young Adults

The aim of the thesis was to explore the impact of sex education in the family on own intimate life of the individual. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes issues that affect the content of thesis - human sexuality, sex education at school and in family, and individual family surrounding. The practical part describes the implemented research. The research aim was formulated in four hypotheses. The first aim was to verify whether young people perceive sex education in the family as something that affects their intimate lives. The second aim was to verify the connection between points of view that parents present to their children about contraception, abortion and the beginning of sexual life and the view that in adulthood these children hold. Next aim was to determine whether there is the coherence between the way how parents talk to their children about sexuality and by how much is at the beginning of children own sexual life affected by these councils. And lastly, the work seeks to map the way how parents talk with children about sexuality and whether that affects children own experience of sexuality. In research took part 137 respondents - 80 women and 57 men, all respondents had secondary or university education and were aged from 21 to 30 years....
The FOMO phenomenon in the context of the social network Instagram

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the FOMO phenomenon, ie the fear of missing out, on the social network Instagram. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the term FOMO from a psychological point of view and its application in marketing. Furthermore, it represents the relationship of generations to social networks with a focus on adolescents and young adults. The practical part uses qualitative research to examine how the FOMO phenomenon affects the activity of young adults on the social network Instagram. It also examines how users respond to FOMO marketing by influencers.
Wisdom in the context of pandemic

This thesis aims to explore the topic of wisdom and its effect on coping in sample of young adults in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. First, the theoretical part provides an overview of important theories of wisdom, which are dominant in the contemporary psychological research. Afterwards, it introduces theories of coping and coping strategies, it presents existing research concerning the relationship between wisdom and coping and finally, it describes the situation of the COVID-19 outbreak as a potential source of stress. The practical part includes an exploratory and confirmatory part. The exploratory part presents results of detailed mapping of subjective experiences and responses of xoung adults to situation of pandemic. Results show that young adults perceive negative influence of the pandemic on different spheres of their lifes - the most commonly on finances, job and their psychological state. The level of fear of COVID-19 seems to be lower in the Czech samble than in the Iranian or Italian sample. Results of the confirmatory part present relationship between ways of coping and particular wisdom dimensions. Regression analysis revealed that wisdom, coping and perceived control are significant predictors of perceived stress during the pandemic. KEYWORDS Wisdom, Three-Dimensional Wisdom...
"…and they lived happily ever after". Concept of Coupling and the Opinions of Young Adults on Romantic Partnerships

The diploma thesis deals with the concept of "coupledom" and the opinions of young adults, who are defined as young people from 26 to 30 years, on couple relationships. Based on semi-structured interviews, there is examined the basis on which young adults decide in the context of "coupledom", what changes they perceive in relationships and, last but not least, how they feel "coupledom" in relation to their private lives. The theoretical basis of the work is the introduction of the concept of "pairing" and what shapes it. In particular, the work deals with the democratization concept of a "pure" relationship and reflections on a progressive view of relationships. The analytical output of the work is the presentation of young adults' view of couple relationships, which shows that couple relationships are a constructed normative model with regulatory functions on the lives of young adults. People with disabilities entering university

This bachelor thesis focuses on people with disabilities entering university at a specific stage of the life cycle. This particular stage of the life cycle is called emerging adulthood and includes the age range from 18 to 25. These young adults are experiencing an important milestone in their lives. In this case, this life milestone is entering university. This group of people has to deal not only with their disability but also with the pressure associated with this life stage. This the pressure is mainly from their family and college, but also from the whole society. The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to find out the conditions of people with sensory and physical disabilities at Charles University when they are entering the university and during their subsequent studies at this university. I tried to map the stage of emerging adulthood in these people and reveal some common features. The other goal was to reveal the most common obstacles that these students may encounter on their journey to obtain a university degree. Study of BMI trajectories depending on lifestyle factors - longitudinal study of Czech adolescents

Obesity is a serious metabolic disease that often occurs in childhood. Up to 55 % of obese children continue to be obese until adolescence and then 80 % of these obese adolescents remain obese in adulthood. This diploma thesis follows the results of the first round of the study Childhood Obesity Prevalence and Treatment (COPAT). Analyzes the data found in 2009-2010 in relation with the results from 2018. The aim of this work was to determine the prevalence of overweight, obesity, metabolic syndrome, hidden (normal-weight) obesity and to examine the factors potentially contributing to the development of excessive body weight in the participants in the second round of COPAT study. After eight years, 12 % of the original sample, ie 246 probands (150 women and 96 men), were repeatedly examined within the diploma thesis. The examinations took place at the Institute of Endocrinology in Prague and consisted of fasting blood, clinical examination (blood pressure and pulse measurement; determination of body composition by bioimpedance analysis) and anthropometric examination.
