What does the physics do? A short comment on who to ask (in the physics class)
Maršálek, Jan
The author argues in favor of taking social studies of science into account in secondary school teaching. He points out that teachers may venture into the area of sociology of science (which is often empirically grounded in physics) without necessarily moving away from the content of scientific knowledge they wish to communicate to their students.

The thesis is divided into a theoretical part, which deals with the theoretical foundations of teaching psychology at high schools in the Czech Republic and abroad and it also deals with films as a didactic tool for teaching psychology and with selected mental disorders and mental illnesses. The goal of practical part was to create a specific methodology for teaching psychology at high schools using a film as a didactic tool on the topic of dissociative identity disorder, bipolar affective disorder and schizophrenia. One topic was taught in each lesson. To map what students already know about the topic, a questionnaire is designed to identify preconceptions in the field of psychology. In order to map what the students already know about the topic a questionnaire was created to find out preconceptions from the field of psychology. Students were given this questionnaire to fill in before and after class. The answers were then evaluated and compared. With the help of descriptive statistics, it was found out that all students (N=59) were better at answering questions of type "B" at the end of the lesson than they were with questions of type "A". For the "B" type of questions, there was an overall improvement in responses from 59,3 % (N=35) at the beginning of the lesson to 93,2 % (N=55) at the end of the lesson. In the case of question type "A", the success rate in the answers worsened from 74,6 % (N=44) before the lesson to 69,5 % (N=41) after the lesson. In the empirical part, an alteration of teaching is proposed after this finding.

Abrahámová, Tereza ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chvostek, Lukáš (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deal with the issue of floorball teaching as part of physical education at the second level of elementary schools. The main goal was to analyze teaching at sport classes. In the theoretical part, I focused on the analysis of professional literature dealing with floorball rules, game activities and game combinations. During the research part, I focused on educators. With the help of questionnaires that I sent out to every elementary school in Orlicko-Ústecko region, I found out, which methods teachers apply in their lectures. I also investigated the sport equipment and the popularity of floorball across students and teachers. The result of research showed that teachers in physical classes apply simpler games activities rather than game combinations in their lessons. Regarding the sport equipment, it was found out that all elementary schools have good and enough sport equipment. Our research also confirmed a theory that floorball is a very popular sport nowadays among students.
