Conclusion: Dance can have a positive effect on physical and mental health of an individual. It can also support social relationships of people with specific needs. Forbidden fruit
Kyselá, Kristýna ; Nytra, Martin (referee) ; Štindlová, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis Forbidden fruit is inspired by the pole dance exotic community, striptease dancers and the dance itself (pole dancing with heels). The work consists of a series of paintings on canvas painted using a combined technique (shellac ink, tempera, oil and encaustic). The central motif of the paintings are figures, portraits or details of dancers. Dance and dancers serve as a bridge for other subthemes: performativity, eroticism, gesture, physicality, exhibitionism, submissiveness or dominance. The work plays out the complex theme of pole dance, erotic dances, sexuality and the sexualization of the female body. It gives us an insight into nightclubs, dance halls and the intimate life of the main characters who reveal themselves and tell us their own story.

Dance in Brno
Papcun, Peter ; Všetečková, Alena (referee) ; Galeová, Nicol (advisor)
Contemporary dance theater faces the problems of insufficient infrastructure and unsuitable spaces for its performances. Classic theater buildings and other transformed spaces often do not meet the specific needs of dance art. The lack of new, specially designed spaces in the Czech Republic leads to the migration of dancers abroad or to Prague. In this work, I devoted myself to the analysis of the current issue of dance theater and at the same time I focused on the analysis of the solved plot. Based on these analyses, I developed a proposal for a new theater that reflects the identified problems, offers solutions and deviates from standard ideas about the theater. The goal of my proposal is to create an environment that will be in line with the requirements and needs of the dance theater today. When designing the theater, I took into account aesthetic, functional and technical aspects in order to create a space that will allow the presentation of dance performances in the best possible form. The result is a comprehensive theater design, which is based on thorough analysis and at the same time brings innovative solutions for dance theater today. The building should be integrated into the scale of the city of Brno and become an integral part of its life.
