Occupational Stress

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. The teacher beginner. Factors leaving education

The final work deals with the personality of teachers and the basic stressors, which make their work more difficult and which can be one of the reasons of resignation. In the practical part author used the questionnaires to find the rate of the load for the beginning teachers. Furthermore the final work provides suggestions how to reduce the stress, which is unfortunately a natural part of the teaching profession, or how to prevent it. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 49 respondents. The final work is focused on the beginning teachers and analyses factors of their leaving from this profession. The bachelor work is divided into the theoretical and the practical - research part. The theoretical part deals with a personality of teachers and basic stressors, which make their work more difficult and which can be one of the reasons of resignation. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the rate of the stressful situation for the beginning teachers and the role of the trainee teachers. Except summery of the questionnaire results author tried to suggest solution how to prevent or ease the stressful situations, which are affecting negatively the teaching profession. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 40 respondents.
Possibilities of minimizing stress in distance education at lower secondary school with regard to pupils with special educational needs

The diploma thesis addresses the Possibilities of stress minimazition for pupils at the lower secondary school with regard to pupils with special educational needs during distance education. It designs the tools and strategies that a regular city school can provide students with coping with stress and stressful situations in the ongoing distance education. The theoretical part defines the main concept associated with stress, stressors and strategies used in coping with stress and the concept of distance education. The practical part finds out what possibilities a regular city school has in reducing stress for pupils in the lower secondary school, including pupils with special educational needs in distance education based on the finding of the main stressors and strategies the pupils use to cope with stress and support. The method of the research survey is conducted in the form of structural interview. Based on the obtained research data it was found out which, in the opinion of pupils, are the main stressors in distance education and what strategies pupils use for processing workload and stress, including pupils with special educational needs. Stress factors and their possible effect on the teachers in a selected school

This diploma thesis focuses on stress factors and their possible effect on the teachers in a selected school. The theoretical part describes stressful and risk factors, which negatively influence the occupation of a teacher and therefore affect teachers' mental health. Not only stress and stressful situations are described in this chapter but also their causes and possible techniques to manage them. This part also deals with occupational burnout and its most common causes. Further, the occupational burnout prevention and relaxation techniques to avoid the burnout are described. The last important topic in the theoretical part is mental hygiene and how is mental hygiene perceived. This topic also concentrates on principles of mental hygiene, which are considered to be a tool for supporting mental health and can help avoid the mentioned syndrome. The final theoretical part describes professional development as a kind of protection of mental hygiene and gives examples of selected specific techniques. Professional psychohygiene of teacher in a nursery school - case study

The theoretical part of this diploma thesis focuses on defining psychohygiene. The principles of psychohygiene are presented, such as efficient use of time, healthy diet, sufficient exercise, etc. Furthermore, the term stress is defined and explained in more detail by stressors that can burden teachers in a kindergarten. The position of a teacher in a kindergarten, his personality and competences are scrutinized here. The practical part is focused on a qualitative research. Using the case study defined here, the workplace of a private kindergarten is examined in detail using an observation method. Another method in the research is a questionnaire for pedagogical staff in two branches of kindergartens and nurseries. Based on the findings, a conclusion is drawn regarding the psychohygiene of teachers. The aim of the work is to reveal the positives and negatives that affect teachers in this kindergarten and to find out how aware they are about psychohygiene. The research shows that the kindergarten supports employees in healthy eating, exercise, effectively planned working hours and in constantly possible communication with parents.
