Cognitive deficits in children with visual impairment and the possibilities oftheir early diagnosis

The dissertation entitled Cognitive deficits in children with visual impairment and the possibilities of their early diagnosis responds to the need for a tool for the early detection of visual impairment at the level of the visual apparatus in children with cognitive deficits for special pedagogues. The aim of the thesis is to design and verify the reliability and usability of a tool for the early detection of visual disorders at the level of the visual apparatus, which could be used by special pedagogues. Based on them, identify children with an indication for a complete ocular and orthoptic examination. The partial goals are to determine the coincidence of visual impairment with cognitive deficit, to compare the reliability of individual stereotests and to evaluate the practical use of the tool for special pedagogues. The theoretical starting points are current findings on the issue of cognitive processes and their deficits, the visual analyzer and its defects at all levels, with an emphasis on defects at the level of the visual apparatus and the relationship of cognitive deficits to visual disorder in childhood. Intervention approaches for pupils in primary school with specific learning disabilities

The thesis deals with the definition of intervention provided to pupils with specific learning disabilities in primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the most frequent specific learning disabilities, the characteristics of the younger school age and intervention approaches in primary schools for pupils with specific learning disabilities. The last chapter of the thesis is also the research part, focusing on gathering information regarding intervention for pupils with specific learning needs, their progress within the educational process and information sharing among teachers in the selected primary school. It also describes all the activities and programs, which are prepared by special pedagogue for accused and convinced. There is described the work of special pedagogue in Remand Prison Praha-Pankrác. The research was based on observations, case reports and interviews.
Creativity of teachers in the educational process in special elementary school

The diploma thesis "Creativity of teachers in the educational process in special elementary school" focuses on teachers in special elementary schools at this moment. The thesis is divided into four parts. First three chapters sumarizes the facts about creativity gained from the special literature. The first chapter sumarizes generall knowledges about creativity. It describes the notion of creativity and compares the definitions of various authors. In the second chapter it describes creativity from the view of the special pedagogues and describes the creative methods which may be used by them during the educational process. The second chapter also describes the barriers which can appeares on the way to creativity. The third chapter focuses on the meaning of special pedagogues for the special elementary schools. Possibilities of identification of child's endangering in kindergarten

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of early identification of a child's endangering in kindergarten, defining and explaining the concepts of primary prevention, endangered child, social exclusion. Furthermore, the work deals with the threat to the child due to social exclusion and in the end suggests how to address this issue. The main research goal of the work is to verify the functionality of the created detection tool for kindergarten teachers. The created detection tool provides kindergarten teachers with assistance in evaluating the child and his situation so that any problems can be detected in time. Areas that the detection tool deals with and how it has been evolved are described here. It also suggests possible procedures for solving problems based on the cooperation of the kindergarten teacher with a special pedagogue. With regard to the issue of social exclusion and early identification of child threats, the diploma thesis describes examples of good practice in preventing child threats from abroad and discussions about the possibilities of their implementation in our system. Inclusion in the Pre-school Education System

The rigorosum thesis deals with the inclusive education in nursery schools in the Czech Republic. It is based on specialized literature, an overview of legislative changes in preschool education and longtime experience of its author, a preschool special educator. The thesis consists of three parts. The first, theoretical one, defines basic concepts and cornerstones of school inclusion as well as the role of its main actors from the point of view of both positive and negative impacts the school inclusion may have on them. It also brings a brief outline of the preschool inclusive systems in Great Britain, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The second part gives an overview of the preschool inclusive education in the framework of current Czech education system including some information and experience gained during the author's professional carrier. Personal experience of visits to some nursery schools in Sweden and Finland is also included. The third part of the thesis brings findings of a quantitative survey oriented to expert and lay attitudes to the preschool inclusion. 1 The therapeutic and educational approaches in forensic detention Autor: Mgr. Dušan Gáč Annotation The Forensic detention measure has not long tradition in the Czech Republic. It is a relatively new institution which exists in the Czech Republic as a protective measure since 2009. In this year the Act of Forensic Detention No. 129/2008 has become it's legitimacy. Experts as psychologists, pedagogues, jurists, psychiatrists and others participated on the establishment of the forensic detention measure. The main reason of this act was that the placement of extremely dangerous perpetrators in psychiatric hospitals had not met the safety criteria, and because the requirement for sophisticated protection of the society in connection with the proper professional care and treatment was not fulfilled. The significance of education of people during their custodial sentence with regard to the convicts of serious criminal acts in the Czech Republic

This master's thesis "The significance of education of people during their custodial sentence with regard to the convicts of serious criminal acts in the Czech Republic" deals with education of perpetrators of serious criminal acts. The aim of this thesis is to ascertain, whether people who are imprisoned in long term can through education, which includes not only vocational education and primary education, but also the "Program of treatment" and activity of pedagogical workers, change the point of view at the sense of custodial sentence. I consider the pedagogical workers to be the people who work as special pedagogues, leisure pedagogues and educators. The theoretical part deals with functions of custodial sentence, then with the "program Treatment with convicts, education of convicts, social works at prison, and connection of social work at prison with education of convicts and there is also something about the logo therapeutic attitude of Viktor Emil Frankl. The last part of this thesis deals with analysis of eleven interviews, which were completed by convicts of serious criminal acts who are nowadays already at liberty.
