Comparison of psychological hardiness in para swimmers with different training intensities

Title: Comparison of psychological hardiness in para swimmers with different training intensities Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to compare psychological hardiness level among impaired para swimmers and non-sporting impaired individuals. The goal is to find out if the impaired para swimmers achieve higher hardiness level in comparison with their non-sporting counterparts. Methods: We measured and evaluated the hardiness level of all participants as well as their selected subgroups. The Personal Views Survey created by Kobasa in 1985 was used in Google Forms to get the data. In total 117 respondents were asked to complete the survey, however only 45 took part in the end. All the participants accepted an informed consent beforehand. We used the two-samples-unpaired T-test with unequal variance. Results: Neither of the two proposed hypothesis was confirmed and we did not find any significant difference in targeted subgroups either. Conception of Self-knowledge in work of Jiddu Krishnamurti

This Master thesis analyzes the conception of self-knowledge in work of Jiddu Krishnamurti. Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986) was a spiritual teacher and writer, born in India and lived in USA. The goal of the thesis is to show Krishnamurti's conception of self-knowledge from its own. In thesis there are quotations from Krishnamurti's works and also from works of others related authors from ranks of philosophy, science or literature. The first part of thesis shows Krishnamurti's life and his work in general. The second part analyzes a topic of self-knowledge in work of Krishnamurti. First of all, the thesis tries to introduce the way in which Krishnamurti understands a self-knowledge and its potential. In the second place, it tries to incorporate Krishnamurti's work into context of whole human searchng with intention to find a dialog between science and spirituality and between East and West.
Self-knowledge in art expression

This qualitative thesis deals with self-knowledge in art expression. The work examines how the creator understands to his or her art product, what happens in the dialogue over the product and how this understanding impacts self-knowledge and self-transformation. The work represents the principle of expression and expressiveness as a phenomenon and mandala as a specific instrument of art expression, which is set into a professional framework through its origin and tradition of use in therapeutic practice. The work is dedicated to the process in which the meaning is explored and constitutes three stages - expression, reflection and analysis. Theory of expression, dynamic art therapy and hermeneutic approach are presented as three basic theoretical approaches in this work. The work describes three case reports in a dynamic process and interprets them through formal and thematic analysis, or more precisely it shows which strategies are used to find the meaning in picture and what is the character of the main topics. Self-awareness in the dark therapy

Presented work focuses on the proces of self-knowing during the Dark Therapy (DT). The theoretical part is devoted to the modern concept of DT in the Czech Republic and the placement of this therapy into a historical kontext. This section also describes the conditions, course and effects of DT to human psyche and health.. The last section of the theoretical part devotes attention to self-knowing and associated areas. The aim of the practical part is to map out how DT graduates perceive and experience Stay in the dark and whether they relate to better self-knowledge and self-awareness in a relatively short time after graduation. The design of qualitative research is a multiple case study. The data were collected by a half-structured interview with 8 respondents shortly after DT. The data obtained through the interviews was subsequently analyzed in the open coding process, the individual categories are presented by the technique of unloading the cards both in the individual case studies and in their comparison. It was found that motives for DT, personality developmental anchorages and activities performed during DT to some degree determined the experiences and knowledge of the respondents they gained during therapy. Respondents focused in the dark on recapitulation of their life experiences and relationships, which often made it possible to deal with past experiences or rethink their attitudes and opinions. The knowledge of the respondents concerned their dispositions, physical perception, relationship with other people or professional orientation. Frequent evidence is the "mindfulness" of the respondents, who during the stay felt to be spiritually, more conscious, "here and now". Respondents showed an increase in self-acceptance, self-confidence and acceptance of others.
Elementary art schools directors typology from the point of view of their self concept

The thesis deals with the exploration and deeper understanding of the problems of relations personality typology and style of management of executives in the Czech education system, ie directors, from the perspective of self-concept. The purpose is to ascertain existence of a relationship between personality characteristics and the manner of school management. What typology director of the Czech education system can be considered effective in relation to the management of educational institutions such as the Czech school and whether this environment calls for a new, own typology. Based on the theoretical background and knowledge dealing with the personality and different theories about its typology, managerial approach to the school principal in the Czech Republic, management styles, the typology of the existence of related areas. The survey will be a combination of forms, in the form of a questionnaire in the form of semi-structured interviews. The basic research sample are directors of art schools of the Czech Republic.
The influence of the family educational style on the child's self-affirmation development.

This thesis deals with the influence of family educational styles on sound child's selfconception development. Its goal is to describe and search the selfconception phenomenon as one of the key categories of a human personality in relation to a family educational style effect. In the theoretical part there is a survey of substantial information concerning the selfhood-psychology and the family psychology. Particularly it deals with selfconception description and all its components and aspects and it gives us a systemic view of a family and its educational styles. The empirical part of the thesis brings the results of a quality research that was carried out as narrative interviews. Their categorial analysis has shown that sound selfconception is influenced not only by the family educational style, but also by other crucial facts. Mainly it is the question of an individual's resilience which can act protectively in relation to prospective negative family education influence. In the empirical part of the thesis there are also mentioned other possible perspectives of extending the current research.
