Practical use of marketing in a selected company

This study is focused on evaluating the use of marketing activities at SCS Software and establishing what importance the company attributes to these activities. SCS Software is one of the largest studios in the Czech Republic specializing in the development of computer games. This is demonstrated by the company's consistent annual growth. Based on a review of recent academic literature on the topic of marketing a set of questions has been compiled for the company. The aim is to which discover what importance the company attributes to marketing and what marketing tools it currently uses. Using these findings, an analysis of marketing activities is processed and subsequently evaluated. This leads to an understanding of what level of marketing is used in the company and whether the company devotes enough attention to this department. Finally, possible proposals are put forward to change or improve marketing activities.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem marketingového plánu zvolené společnosti. Hlavním cílem této práce je sestavení marketingového plánu vybrané společnosti. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem pojmů a metod, které přispívají k samostatné tvorbě marketingového plánu. Metodická část popisuje zvolenou strategii a metodiku, jak budou shromážděné informace zpracovány. V praktické části je provedena analýza okolí, konkurence a současná analýza marketingových aktivit. V poslední části najdeme návrh na úpravu a rozšíření marketingových aktivit, který je sestaven dle předchozí analýzy.

This doctoral thesis titled Effectiveness of marketing activities in preparatory phase of construction life cycle deals with the possibility of more effective marketing activities in preparation for construction. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the current state of the use of marketing activities from the view of a building contractor and building users, to propose a methodology of indicators suitable for assessing the effectiveness of marketing activities in preparatory phase of construction life cycle. Effectiveness is assessed from the perspective of selected entities operating in the Czech construction market - building contractor and building user.

This bachelor thesis deals with the marketing activities of „Sportuj s námi“. The theoretic part deals with the theoretic solution of the marketing, especially of the services of marketing mix. The practical part incorporates an analysis of the marketing activities of selected company and a proposition for increasing the efficiency of promotion of their services and of the total marketing mix. A part of the thesis is also a questionnaire. Its purpose is to find out public and runners attitudes to activities of sports organizations and determine level of awareness of the sport organization Sportuj s námi. The results of the thesis itself are recommendations for Sportuj s námi, which were created using SWOT analysis and questionnaire.

The theoretical part of the thesis defines the meaning and importance of marketing audit, as well as the concept of employees’ satisfaction and modern approaches to its measurement. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on performing the marketing audit of company Tungaloy Rus and surveying the satisfaction of its employees. The proposal part of the thesis aims to making a set of recommendations based on the results of the marketing audit and the satisfaction research, which leads to improving the company's marketing activities.

The theoretical part is intended on B2B marketing, analysis of external and internal surroundings of company and on marketing activities on this market. In the analytical part are made up particular analysis of company, analysis of marketing policy and a proposal of marketing policy changes. On the base of these analysis results are proposed changes that would empower company position on the market and that would arise customer awareness of the company existence.
Marketing Activities of Retail Chain

The diploma thesis analyzes marketing activities of retail chains in the Czech Republic. It summarizes basic knowledge about trade, marketing, marketing communications and basic methods of marketing research. It deals with particular retail chains with focus on modern trade, from the traditional trade it focuses on COOP chain. It examines different marketing activities of retail chains and sets best practice. For COOP chain is carried out a deeper analyses of marketing activities based on approach of SWOT analyses. The thesis also uses a knowledge from questionnaires: one was the internet questionnaire and the other was conducted via personal questioning among COOP customers. Final proposals incorporate marketing activities that can be used in any retail chain and also a set of recommendation of marketing activities designated especially for COOP chain.
Effectiveness of marketing activities in engineering in Czech Republic

The dissertation is focused on the current needs of the business effectiveness and efficiency in marketing activities. In an industrial environment is a prerequisite for the success of the strategic marketing objectives in relation to corporate strategy. In this work there is focus on individual performance systems and group of metrics that are currently applied in engineering in connection to the implemented marketing activities. The main aim of this dissertation is to propose a methodologyfor the selection of marketing metrics that are directly connected to the effectiveness of the company and its marketing activities in the field of engineering in the Czech Republic. To explore the knowledge area there was also used primary and secondary research. The primary research was conducted by structured interviews through case studies and knowledge-based questionnaire investigation, supported by evidence acquired Czech and foreign literary sources. The work includes detailed assessment of the empirical research, including the testing of hypotheses as basis on which is established the methodology for selecting marketing metrics in engineering in the Czech Republic. The benefits could be seen both in theoretical and practical as well as educational fields.
