Svoboda, Aleš ; Kučera, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Klingorová, Kamila (referee)
The thesis explores the Ways of the Cross and their functions in the Western Bohemian region. The Ways vary in their degree of preservation, which correlates with people's attitudes. The aim is to discuss functions and meanings of the Ways of the Cross in landscape and society of Western Bohemia in the context of changes that took place in the region during the second half of the 20th century. The analysis focuses on political, social, and religious factors influencing these sacred monuments, including their maintenance, restoration, and perception. Emphasis is placed on Czech-German relations and their impact on the Ways of the Cross in the post-war period. The thesis also examines the role of municipalities, civic associations, and volunteers in revitalizing these monuments and integrating them into community life. The research seeks to better understand the historical and cultural changes in the Western Bohemian region and underscore their significance in the current meanings of the Ways of the Cross. Currently, many Ways of the Cross are being restored, with cross-border relations playing a significant role. Simultaneously, new ones are being built, predominantly artistically representing their creators. A substantial portion of the Ways of the Cross in the region is also disappearing or has...
(Neo)Classical Palaces in the Hradec Králové Region - Comparison, Current State and Cultural Significance
Michálková, Petra ; Zdichynec, Jan (advisor) ; Foltýn, Dušan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of (neo)classical castle architecture in the Hradec Králové Region. Its aim is to examine the listed castles in the region built in the (neo)classicist style based on predefined criteria, which it places in the context of generally accepted architectural theory. There is a large amount of (neo)classical architecture in the region that could not be covered in the thesis, and therefore, also due to the continuity with the bachelor thesis, only castle architecture is chosen. The work is interdisciplinary in nature and extend in the historical, architectural and educational fields. The present study uses the method of comparison based on my own field research and the study of contemporary photographs and postcards. One of its sub-objectives is to come to terms with the concepts of classicism, empire and neoclassicism and to take its own position on them. The castle is first placed in its historical context and provides an overview of the events that led to the (neo)classical reconstruction or new building. A detailed architectural analysis is included into the generally applicable (neo)classical theory or architectural elements typical of the style. These facts are then compared and analysed in order to observe their similarities and differences and to find...
Industrial and military architecture of seaports, comparative analysis of reconversion of industrial and military heritage
Remy-Zéphir, Šárka ; Prof.Ing.arch.Peter Vodrážka,PhD. (referee) ; Hrabec, Josef (referee) ; Prof.Patrick Dieudonné (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
During World War II, seaports Brest, Lorient and Saint-Nazaire were heavily destroyed because of their strategic location on the Atlantic coastline. Those historical events could be considered as new opportunities for the seaports to realise new thoughts and ambitious architectural projects in order to improve the functionality of the urban organism. In these days, a new occasion has come. Military and industrial areas, which were always thoroughly separated from the town centres, have been now releasing from their original activity. There are huge free building sites in the middle of the cities, waiting for the urban architects.

Šindelářová, Alice ; Maixner, Miroslav (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
A processional project dealing with the cave phenomenon in connection with a prehistoric art. It follows up with the beginning of art and its interpretations. I examine issues of preservation and care of cultural heritage. I consider forms of presentation of archaeological finds and artifacts within museum exhibitions and collections. Through successive steps by studying literature, field research I conceive the final work, which reflects the theme of the cave and bridges the arc of time from prehistory to the present.

Cultural heritage education in selected programmes of the Archeoskanzen Březno
Fuksová, Johana ; Hanková, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Linková, Marie (referee)
The thesis focuses on the development of a concrete proposal for categorizing the objectives of the activities that take place within the educational program of the Archeoskanzen Březno Living Prehistory. This proposal is preceded by the definition of those areas of pedagogy in which we classify museums in general and the educational programmes of archaeoskanzens in particular. An integral part of this work is also a general categorisation of educational objectives in terms of the framework educational programmes, their cross-cutting themes and educational areas, and in terms of taxonomies of objectives. In the proposed categorization of objectives, the objectives from these areas are categorized and defined in order to make the educational programs of the institution clearer for primary school teachers and to set appropriate conditions for the evaluation of these programs in the context of regular teaching. The thesis also includes an analysis of the submitted proposal, which was created in order to further clarify the expected objectives of the educational programs and to find areas with the potential to improve or increase the educational impact of the educational programs on primary school students.

In the introduction, detailed explanations are given about the paintings, historical materials, trade roads, what are nannofossils, how and why to use them. In the methods section, developed preparatory methodologies are summarised, and the most important results are explained. In the third part, the nannofossils assemblages, the differences between the assemblages from different areas in Europe compared to original paintings are explained and correlated to the literature. The impact of the preparatory methods on the results is discussed, and a conclusion is drawn from it in the context of painted artefacts in the Cultural Heritage field are unique, and so are the micro-samples from them.
