The use of neurophysiology-based methods in an intervention program focused on shooting accuracy of biathletes: a non-randomized intervention study
Kiszová, Markéta ; Marenčáková, Jitka (advisor) ; Zimermanová, Helena (referee)
The main objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of a specifically designed intervention program on the accuracy of standing shooting in biathletes. Methods: This experimental study was conducted on 15 probands from a biathlon club, who were divided into an experimental group (n = 9) and a control group (n = 6). Members of the experimental group performed an intervention training program for 6 weeks containing exercises using neurophysiologically based methods, focusing on strengthening postural stability and thus improving the accuracy of standing shooting. The control group was without intervention. Input and output measures included postural stability measurements on a FootScan pressure plate in the experimental group and standing shooting testing in both groups. Tested postural stability parameter was the COP (Centre of Pressure) trajectory in four standing variations (narrow standing with eyes open and closed, left and right leg stand). Student's t-test was used for statistical processing and evaluation of the results, and substantive significance was determined using Cohen's d. Results: There was a statistically significant improvement in the postural stability parameter in standing on the right lower limb, and especially in the accuracy of standing shooting in the...

Ploček, David ; Přívětivý, Lubomír (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
Title: The effect of an intervention exercise program on the physical fitness of unfit soldiers in the 142nd Klatovy repair battalion. Objectives: This thesis examines the effect of a selected intervention program on professional soldiers who do not reach the set standards during the annual physical fitness test. Other sub-goals can look for connections between the established intervention program, the development of endurance abilities and the influence of selected physical parameters. Methods: Content analysis, measurement, methods of mathematical-statistical analysis, comparison, analysis and synthesis were used in this work. Results: The results of the work show that the influence of the selected intervention program is not automatically positive. For more than half of the soldiers, the intervention program did not lead to meeting the standards, even though their physical fitness may have improved. Vojířová, Jana ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Syřiště, Ivo (referee)
1 ABSTRACT This master thesis deals with the influence of the intervention program on risky sexual behavior and the possibilities of its prevention for students of secondary medical school. The main objective was to determine its effect on knowledge in the area of risky sexual behavior, about selected STIs and the use of condoms; changing attitudes towards intercourse and the use of condoms; self-efficacy for refusing intercourse, communicating about condom use, buying and using condoms; barriers to condom use by program participants. To fulfill it, an intervention program based on current knowledge and procedures in the field of school prevention and intervention was designed. Subsequently, its feasibility was verified in practice with the participation of male and female students aged 15-18 years of the 1st year of the secondary medical school in Příbram. In order to answer the research questions, a research using the pretest-posttest design, as well as questionnaire surveys, was conducted simultaneously. Through subsequent analysis of quantitative data, it was found that the proposed intervention program has a statistically significant effect on students' knowledge, especially knowledge about risky sexual behaviour. Changes in students' attitudes toward sexual intercourse promoting sexual abstinence,...
Specifics of motor development of children with visual impairment of preschool age
BOLVÁRI, Eliška
The bachelor thesis deals with specifics of motor skills development of preschool children with visual impairment. The theoretical part describes the issues of visual impairment with a focus on the diagnoses that can occur in the children research group. Further discusses the options, how the children with a visual disability can be educated in preschool age. Subsequently, attention is focused on the specifics of development, first on cognitive domain, then on the motor domain. At the end of theoretical part is described the diagnostics of motor skills, especially MABC-2 tests, which is further used in practical part. Main goal of practical part of bachelor thesis was to create, provide and evaluate the effectivity of short intervetion programme for children with visual impairment, that also have weakened motor skills. Programme was compiled individualy, based on case study and input data from MABC-2 test for each children. Evaluation effectiveness of intervention programme was at the end verified by output results from same MABC-2 tests. Although the intervetion programme was assembled and based on individual needs, it´s possible to use it or to be inspired by it for further work with visualy impaired children. On the basis of results, when we´re designing a programme, it´s advisable to set a smaller number of development objectives and to profile more the programme to one part of motor development. At the same time it is important to focus on motivation of children and eventually adapt the programme to the child´s interests. These steps can play a big role in the effectiveness of programme.
The influence of Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment method on students with combined disabilities
Jedličková, Monika ; Blažková, Veronika (advisor) ; Váchová, Alena (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the method of Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment and its influence on pupils with combined disabilities. The aim is to find out whether and how much the regular application of Feuerstein's method of instrumental enrichment affects pupils with combined disabilities and the development of their cognitive functions. The theoretical part consists of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the personality of Reuven Feuerstein, his life and the way to create a method of instrumental enrichment. The second part introduces the method of instrumental enrichment, explains in detail what instrumental enrichment is and its origin. The third chapter summarizes the theoretical basis of instrumental enrichment, presents cognitive functions and their possible deficits, and introduces the system of structural cognitive modifiability, its pillars and areas. The fourth chapter introduces the concept of mediated learning, which context is emphasized and its three basic key parameters, which are: a / focus and reciprocity; b / transfer of learned; c / mediation of the importance of learning activities. He states that the essence of this teaching is their joint use in one specific situation and which actors are taken into an account. This chapter also presents Feuerstein's equation for...

Šedinová, Petra ; Málková, Gabriela (advisor) ; Morávková Krejčová, Lenka (referee) ; Vitásková, Kateřina (referee)
This study evaluates the benefits of short-term, relatively intensively implemented training programme aimed at enhancing the development of pre-reading skills (specifically phoneme awareness and letter knowledge) in the last year of kindergarten. The evaluation of the benefits is carried out in comparison with the situation without the implementation of the work methodology and with the use of available work content with content aimed at the development of graphomotor skills with commented instruction. Sixty-nine children from four kindergartens were randomly assigned to three groups: pre-reading intervention group (resp. phoneme awareness and letter knowledge intervention), graphomotor skills intervention group and no- training group. Intervention programs were implemented as a 10-week training programmes in the frequency of 3 training lessons per week. The results provide an evaluation of the variability pre-literacy pre-reading performance in regular kindergarten classes and the benefits of the evaluated training program in terms of mobilizing pre-literacy pre-reading skills before starting school. This work maps the current situation in the field of intervention/training tools, their specifics and targets literacy and key pre-literacy skills important for the development of children in the...
