Brno je však město, které má konkurenční výhodu ve vzdělávání, a to z hlediska výsledku náboru studentů v Číně neodpovídá těmto vzdělávacím zdrojům a reputaci. A klíčová otázka, jak udělat správnou a efektivní tržní strategii, se stává klíčovým úkolem VUT v Brně. Bude proveden primární výzkum a sekundární výzkum, autor využije makro a mikroprostředí k analýze pozadí tématu. Diplomová práce bude kriticky analyzovat spolupráci v oblasti vzdělávání mezi Čínou a Českou republikou z pohledu přítomnosti a možných příležitostí ke zlepšení současné situace.

This work describes the influence of western culture on the Japanese people as well as their traditional and popular culture and it's impact on the western society. Japanese popular culture includes anime, manga, subcultures and japanese popular music. Moreover the most importmant facts about the development of Japanese culture are explained. Contemporary Perspectives of International Organisations on the Concept of Lifelong Learning - A Comparison of UNESCO and OECD

This diploma thesis presents the concept of lifelong learning as an ambitious political project born in the field of international organisations at the beginning of the 1970s which now reaches far beyond the borders of national states and education policy. The sphere of education still remains the responsibility of national governments, however, even here strong globalising tendencies have occurred since the 1990s, as a result of which the national policy is more and more being influenced by supranational institutions. Although the concept of lifelong learning now serves as a common framework, it has been interpreted differently during its evolution and a consensus on what it exactly means and how it should be put into practice still does not exist. Based on analysis of key documents, this thesis aims to compare the view of lifelong learning held by the international organisation UNESCO with that of OECD, as two distinctive perspectives on this issue. The comparison draws on Rubenson's model (2004), which examines lifelong learning through three key categories representing the main actors of social life - the state, the market and civil society. Arguing against the Universality of Liberal Democracy: The Case of Singapore

Presenting an authoritative one-party rule since fifty years, the case of Singapore does not concord with the various theories of democratization. After proving that Singapore is not a Liberal-Democracy, we argue that the country manages to create a model of stability both in terms of politics and economy, that act as trade- offs to liberal characteristics. The approach uses a qualitative analysis of the electoral framework, a cultural comprehension of contemporary elements and data on its economic success. Ultimately, this thesis aims at studying the idea that Liberal-Democracy is not a model that necessarily needs to be implemented for the functioning of all nations.

J. Chirac and the French politics of multilateralism: content analysis of presidential discourse (1995-2007)

Jacques Chirac is one of the most prominent French politicians emphasizing the multilateral agenda in international relations. However, the French multilateralism is specific in a way it opposes unilateralism and especially the "Americanisation" of the world politics - a phenomenon that is seen as a core of globalisation from the French point of view. This thesis focuses on the content analysis of Chirac's speeches concerning multilateralism between the years 1995-2007, and it aims to demonstrate that some of the geopolitical issues - particularly the Iraq War in 2003 - influenced Chirac's attitude and confirmed him in his multilateral agenda. This paper works with the methods of content analysis in order to compare individual speeches and to observe Chirac's developing stance. First chapter is dedicated to the historical and political context and to the role of the president in French politics. Second and the most important part then presents selected Chirac's presidential speeches in a chronological order and focuses on the content analysis of their transcripts. The primary objective is to find out how has Chirac's attitude towards multilateralism changed and how it was influenced by geopolitical issues, such as the Iraq War. Experimental education in first Czechoslovak republic. At the example of schools in Michle, Nusle, Hostivař

The topic of my thesis is experimental schools in Prague Michle, Nusle and Hostivař. It tries to shed light on the circumstances of the birth and end of these schools and to determine their characteristic features. Emphasis is put on the social aspect of experimentation and its close relation to the environment of the First Czechoslovak Republic. Inspiration by modern pedagogical theories is taken into account. The thesis traces the lives of several teachers. As sources were used not only archives but also a series of interviews with graduates of these schools. It aims, on the basis of a comparison of written and oral sources, to give a complex image of experimental education in Czechoslovakia at the time of the First Republic and the Protectorate. Last but not least it tries to answer the question whether experimental schools can contribute to today's education. Hybridization of TV channelsˇformat on the case of CNN Prima News

The diploma thesis deals with the origin and adaptation of the concept of CNN Prima NEWS on the Czech market and its possible hybridization. The expansion of global media corporations is a phenomenon of the 20th century that affects persisted till present. The television companies set up centers, branches or, through the sale of licenses, reach its audience through localized television stations. This thesis approaches the theory of globalization with a focus on the concepts of global culture, glocalization and hybridization. With standardization of successful patterns the companys strengthen the its positions in the global market, expand their influence and, last but not least, it is a profitable prosperous activity that does not require high costs. The thesis captures the arrival of the licensing concept of a global television station on Czech media market. The thesis develops connection of the global news brand CNN with Czech commercial television. These connections and deviations are elaborated and compared on the basis of three confrontable areas. At the same time, it is evaluated what creates this concept and what are its possible forms of hybridization.
