Talented student in Art Education

AND KEY WORDS The diploma thesis deals with talented students in art education. How these pupils behave in art education, according to which it is possible to recognize these pupils and what demands the work with talented pupils in art education places on the teacher. In my thesis I try to create general recommendations for the work of a teacher with a talented student in art education and open a topic that has not yet been systematically elaborated in the Czech Republic. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, in the first chapter I deal with giftedness and talent. At the beginning, I define the terms giftedness, talent and gifted pupils. I also present models and possible classifications of giftedness, characteristics of gifted children, the possibilities of their identification and education. In the second chapter I describe the position of giftedness and talent in legislative documents - in the document Strategy 2030+, in the Framework Education programmes and in the Decree No. 27/2016 Coll. The Bachelor's thesis deals with possibilities for the development of cognitively gifted children within the primary education. It is divided into two parts, a theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part is focused on explaining terms which are related to the topic, characterizing cognitively gifted pupils and defining possibilities for the development of cognitively gifted pupils. The practical part comprises of a qualitative research aimed at finding out schools' and their teachers' attitude towards the education of gifted pupils and discovering what kinds of teaching methods or other strategies are used within the educational process.
Methods for overcoming differences in pace of students in mathematics lessons

- 4 - ABSTRACT This diploma thesis is focused on teacher's strategies in mathematics lessons with different work paces of pupils, specifically pupils with above-average pace. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes and explains the basic concepts related to the identification of smart and gifted pupils. The next part is focused on models of talent, teaching pupils with above- average pace, as well as a transmissive and a constructivist approach to teaching. The used research method was observation and discussion in focus groups. The basis of the practical part of the diploma thesis is a set of collected information and its arrangement into the so- called typology of teacher strategies when working with a pupil who works at an above- average pace in mathematics lessons with the described advantages or risks of individual strategies. The main goal of this diploma thesis was to collect ways in which the teacher copes with the different paces of students in mathematics lessons, mainly focusing on pupils with above-average work rates. Thesis describes benefits as well as risks that could arise in the application of strategies for the described individual methods. Differentiation and individualization of teaching gifted with ADHD at primary school

This master thesis aims to introduce and describe effective strategies and teaching methods that teachers of gifted pupils with ADHD use and during which the different educational needs of these learners are taken into consideration. This thesis also presents how faculty primary school teachers apply these strategies and teaching methods in integrated and segregated forms of education focused on gifted pupils with ADHD. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes findings about the issues of differentiation, individualization, talent and teaching strategies of gifted pupils. It also deals with a specific group of gifted pupils with ADHD which are classified as twice-exceptional learners. Therefore, there are also described the recommended strategies for the education of pupils with ADHD. Based on the study of Czech and foreign literature, this thesis delimits strategies and teaching methods which are suitable for gifted pupils with ADHD. Intelectually gifted pupil in the basic school - development in Czech language classes

This diploma thesis deals with intellectually talented individuals and from the narrower point of view, gifted pupils in the subject of Czech language at the second level of elementary school. In the theoretical part, the author deals with the talents, definitions and concepts of this issue, existing models from various authors, characteristics of gifted children, approaches of Czech schools to the education of these children and extra-curricular possibilities for the development of their talent. This thesis also deals with linguistic intelligence and personality of the teacher. The main objective is to give a realistic picture of how teachers of the Czech language view gifted pupils and what differences they find between gifted individuals and ordinary students. Furthermore, the author of the thesis searches for the differences between the capabilities of pupils gifted at the Czech language and other pupils in fulfilling the assigned tasks.
