Dynamics of Everyday Life in Dialogue with Emmanuel Lévinas
Jandová, Tereza ; Sokol, Jan (advisor) ; Bierhanzl, Jan (referee) ; Novotný, Karel (referee)
The main objective of this research is to look at the topic of everyday life from a dynamic perspective. The definition of everyday life that this thesis stands upon, i.e. the presence of a subject in the world with the other(s) outlines also two main sources of its dynamics: the world and the other. The essential aim of this thesis is to show that the different attitudes towards the world and the other in the works of Husserl and Lévinas consequently influence the understanding of the everyday life as such, as well as the requirements it imposes upon the subject. The chapter dedicated to Husserl presents his concept of the world as a horizon, the irreplaceable position of perception in our access to the world and the creation of the other within the subject itself. On the contrary, Lévinas stresses the separation of the subject and he understands the world and the other as inherently belonging to this never-ending process. The motive of dependence and responsibility of the subject for the other belongs to the most significant differences between the two philosophers. Whereas Husserl proposes us a subject in the world which he accesses via perception and in which he encounters the other, Lévinas shows us subject that is born to the pre-reflexive and intersubjective world from which he first has to...

A man in becoming-mad of the world (The conception of a man by early Deleuze)
Prášek, Petr ; Petříček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Švec, Ondřej (referee)
The philosophy of early Deleuze is the main subject of this dissertation. Concretely, it will be treated with regard to distinctive and singular individuation of a man: this essay tries to present his relationship to the ultimate horizon of Being in Deleuze's work. The first chapter constitutes a starting point which can be determined in criticism of the image of thought, closely related with Deleuze's transcendental empiricism. The second chapter is devoted to its culmination, to the metaphysical description of the virtual field of Ideas, of transcendental conditions of our experience. The next chapter shows how Ideas condition, that Ideas actualise themselves insofar as something develops itself within its intensive field of individuation. The fourth chapter takes us back to our starting point: it concerns a phenomenon, this time sufficiently explained, and we are again obliged to confront us with the image of thought which covers this explanation. This is the reason why our interpretation has to continue. The description of distinctive and singular individuation of a man wants to explain the way by which the image of thought, based on common sense, is established. Even though our experience is constructed on this image, there are still some "small islands" of difference, places where the virtual...

Summary of the upperpalaeozoic amphibians of Czech republic
Vala, Vladimír ; Mazuch, Martin (advisor) ; Zajíc, Jaroslav (referee)
The topic of my thesis is an overview of Late Paleozoic amphibians in the Czech Republic. Stegocephalians are ancient amphibians, which evolved in the Upper Devonian and were most prevalent during the Carboniferous and Permian, some species survived into the Cretaceous. They are highlighted in the amphibian system and their anatomy is briefly described. We divide them into two large groups - Labyrinthodontia and Lepospondyli who are different in many ways, which are briefly described in my work. Stegocephalian findings are limited only to sedimentation areas of basins and furrows, in the Czech Republic to the West Bohemian basins, Piedmont basins and Boskovická furrow. In the very list of species I have tried to describe the species representing most of the known groups. Information of some species are sketchy because there are few found fossil remains, findings are in most cases incomplete, and many of these species are still the subject of research.
