The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on teaching techniques and strategies

The impact of the Covid 19 epidemic on instructional methods and practices is examined in the diploma thesis. The thesis seeks to ascertain Covid 19's effect on modifications to learning methods and strategies. The objective is to identify the changes that will take place. Identifying obstacles and figuring out whether teachers are interested in changing their teaching methods. Theoretical material includes searches of relevant literature and other sources. Primarily findings of the Czech School Inspection; judgments and suggestions from the Ministry of Education and Sports are also included. The results of the questionnaire survey are the main topic of the practical section. The quantitative study was conducted using a questionnaire among instructors. (specifically, 101 respondents). The output is recommendations on how to incorporate changes into teaching, such as through subsidies, as well as recommendations on how to employ various teaching apps that do not require financial subsidies. The impact of the use of digital technologies on the attention of pupils of the 1st grade of primary school

The thesis deals with the issue of the influence of the use of digital technologies on the attention of primary school pupils. The aim of the thesis was to map/find out the positive and negative consequences/impacts of the use of digital technologies on the attention of primary school pupils, to evaluate the results of this impact in favour or against their use and to propose suitable solutions/recommendations for practice. The thesis was based on the assumption that 1st grade primary school students excessively use digital technologies such as smart phones, tablets, laptops or smart watches, which has a negative effect on their attention. To achieve the set goal, the thesis was divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. For the processing of the theoretical part of the thesis, the method of literary research was used, thanks to which the current theoretical knowledge and the results of research in the given issue were summarized. A quantitative research method through a questionnaire survey and an attention test were used to process the practical part of the thesis. The aim of this thesis is to analyze strategic and other documents and data that are focused on distance learning in primary schools. The aim is also to describe how distance teaching took place in primary schools using digital technologies and to point out its specifics, including positives and negatives. Strategic and other documents are the basis for determining the readiness of teachers and schools for the transition to distance learning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools were closed and it was necessary to move to distance learning, which was online. How pupils use digital technology when doing school homework

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the role of the digital technologies in the homework preparation of the pupils, how do they use the digital technologies and whether they use it for the learning at all. This thesis evaluates also if the pupils can use the digital technologies for learning and in which way they use them, what is their vision of learning, what pluses and minuses in the digital technology usage see the pupils from the sixth to ninth grade. How do the parents encourage their children to use these technologies for the homework. The theoretical section focuses on the role and possibilities of using digital technologies in education, especially in homework preparation. It defines a pupil's digital competence and the characteristics of the network generation. The practical section includes the conclusion of 3 questionnaire surveys. The first of which the author did among 127 pupils of the 2nd grade of an unnamed elementary school in the Ústí region. 5 ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the topic of digital education at primary school and its acceptance among pupils. The project is an inspiring attempt to link formal and informal education in the learning process. This study has become an inspiration for making digital teaching more effective and developing digital literacy for primary school pupils. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters, which deal with the area of cognitive development of early school age children, digital education and digital technologies used in teaching. The knowledge from the professional literature in the theoretical part is the basis for the practical part, which through the creation of two educational geolocation games researches the development of individual digital competencies on a sample of two classes. This diploma thesis has a form of a case study focused on the area of digital literacy and digital education in Zlín region. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to map the situation in digital literacy and digital education in Zlín region, pointing out the diversity between other regions where possible. Another goal is to point out the negative impact that low level of this literacy can have on our lives and what factors influence digital literacy the most. In the end I would like to discuss some future views and goals that Zlín region has in this area of education. In the conclusion of this thesis I would like to discuss the problematic parts in digital education if it comes to any and what could be helpful in development of digital literacy and digital education.

The theoretical part focuses on the role and possibilities of using digital technologies in the education and homework of pupils as well as on the possible positive and negative aspects of using DT in the life of sixth to ninth grade pupils of nine-year primary school. It also describes the developmental characteristics of older school-age children and net generation.
