How will we grow up together?
Polanská, Andrea ; Müller, Rudolf (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
My diploma thesis is based on my pre-diploma project called “How will we live together?”. The project was a collaboration of the whole atelier (collective), the result of our work was theoretical concept and urbanistic arrangement. We have done research and defined these terms: reciprocity, globalization and sustainability. Afterwards, we have applied our research on our solved area of the former sugar refinery in Šlapanice. The aim of our concept was to break the borders between the young and the old generation and between the individuals and the families. The concept was questioning the conventional lifestyle. Therefore, our urbanistic design was miscellaneous and was also helping to connect people of different ages. In the end, we had three questions to answer: How will we live together? How will we work together? And finally, how we grow up together. The last one has become the subject of my diploma thesis. The aim of my thesis is to design the draft of a kindergarten conjoined with housing for seniors. The designed complex should encourage people to interact. It should be a place to spend time together, create an intergenerational social network, and make the communities more attractive. It is not just about connecting seniors and children, but also about creating a community. The project is also concerned about a sustainable future in harmony with nature, because it can solve many world problems.

The Phenomenon of Responsibility in the Postmodern Era
Jirgl, Sebastian ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor)
The dissertation The Phenomenon of Responsibility in the Postmodern Era discusses the phenomenon of responsibility in the context of the postmodern era. The issue of responsibility is viewed here primarily from a philosophical point of view. At the same time, the dissertation attempts a partial thematic overlap, in connection with the meaning of the selected concept of responsibility, within the ethics and particularly even other related social science disciplines. In the beginning, the basic problematics is set here. This discusses the etymological point of view and responsibility is subsequently given here in the connection of the context of terms such as freedom, response or ambiguity. Furthermore, the basic relationship is presented, in the context of the phenomenon of responsibility, and responsibility is also here confronted with the present. Subsequently, the approaches and theses of an important author of the 20th century, who systematically dealt with the phenomenon of responsibility, the French author Emmanuel Levinas, are particularly emphasized. The main thesis here can be characterized as an attempt to interpret and process the concept of responsibility, especially within the context of philosophical discourse. This is done mainly against the background of the thinking of Emmanuel...

Job Automation and its Impacts
Vlasáková, Klára ; Kobová, Ĺubica (advisor) ; Lánský, Ondřej (referee)
This master's thesis explores how job automation has influenced a selected bank branch workplace and what role gender plays in this process. The thesis is based on a case study focused on a team from one anonymized Czech branch of an international bank where robots are being introduced into the work process. Between November 2018 and February 2019, semi-structured interviews were conducted with six members of this team and obtained data were subjected to an analysis, the results of which are presented in this thesis. Interview questions revolved around changes in the workplace and the evaluation of these changes by the employees. The thesis therefore examines, among other things, whether robots have had any impact on working hours or workplace interpersonal relationships, what control tools narrators have had to monitor the work process, how robots have highlighted existing gender inequalities in the workplace and what issues have arisen after their implementation. The case study has pointed out the importance of further, closer inspection of robot implementation cases, each of which may be affected by a number of specific elements. This micro-level investigation may serve as a foundation for a better understanding of robotic process automation as well as a potential source for developing...
The Concept of Temporality in The Work of Ladislav Hejdánek
Starý, Ondřej ; Pelcová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Hejduk, Tomáš (referee) ; Rybák, David (referee)
This thesis is focused on the explanation and critical analysis of the concept of temporality in the work of Ladislav Hejdánek. The theme of temporality is a key motive for Hejdánek's thinking. The whole concept is characterized by a combination of philosophical and theological ideas that create a provocative attempt at a unique philosophical system. The meaning of the concept lies in the processual understanding of the subject as an event. Each subject has its own unique form of time, which is expressed by the connection of the object and "the non-objectivness" (in terms of time). According to Hejdánek, the emphasis on processuality and the temporal nature of the subject really captures the true essence of life and the world. Unlike purely objective thinking, which hypostasizes everything alive into timeless thought constructs. The first chapter of the dissertation is focused on summarizing and introducing the concept of the subject. A summary of the important features of the process understanding of the subject allows an explanation of the main topic. The second chapter focuses on the interpretation of temporality. The different perceptions of time are first explained by the dichotomy of myth and faith. This dichotomy then reveals the reasons for the need to replace the principle of causality....

Motlová, Kateřina ; High, Radka (advisor) ; Viktorová, Ida (referee)
As the title of the bachelor's thesis reveals, it aims to find out how preschool children growing up in foster homes view their own future. To what extent does growing up in institutional care affect their future lives. The theoretical part consists of several chapters that are closely related to the topic of the work. One of the chapters describes children's mental and physical development starting with conception and ending with preschool age. The chapter divides development into developmental periods - newborn, infant, toddler and preschool age child. Each subchapter contains important milestones of development periods related to the topic of the bachelor's thesis. The next chapter, which is included in the work, describes the functioning of foster homes in the Czech Republic in terms of legislation. The following chapter then discusses the impact of placing children in institutional care (in this work, specifically in foster homes). One of the important parts deals with the concepts of time, time perspective and time perception of preschool age children. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the development and specifics of children's drawings, because drawing is the main method for research in the empirical part. The empirical part took place in April 2022 in a foster home,...
