Challenging behavior of children in kindergarten
Abrmanová, Iveta ; Kubíčková, Anna (advisor) ; Štrinclová, Marta (referee)
This work focuses on children in kindergarten who show difficult behavior. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, namely the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the difference between problem behavior and behavioral disorder, and also describes the various causes of challenging behavior. The next part is devoted to the family as an influential environment that can stimulate individuals in preschool age both positively and negatively. Subsequently, there is a chapter that focuses on kindergarten as an institution in which we encounter challenging behavior of children. It also mentions the importance of cooperation between teachers and parents, the differentiation of manifestations of challenging behavior, as well as the various approaches recommended by experts, which can achieve the desired behavior in these children. I also supplement the theoretical knowledge I gained by studying many publications with practical knowledge I gained through interviews and questionnaires with ten teachers from three kindergartens. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to examine the issue of challenging behavior of children in kindergartens and to find out which of the approaches of teachers are appropriate.
