Childrens tolerance for advertisements

The content of this bachelor's thesis is the analysis of advertising communication as the phenomena of contemporary world, especially in the relation to target group of children. The work focuses on the television being the most effective advertising medium. The theoretical part firstly deals with characterizing of the television medium, then it specifies television as the tool of advertising communication. Subsequently, the work concentrates on the advertising itself, its goals and specifics. The attention is also paid to child addressees and legislative and ethical precautions that protect them in the area of advertisement. The work specifically focuses on the level of child's tolerance to television advertisement and on the basis of qualitative research, it evaluates the child's knowledge of advertisement and what they mind about it.
Social Poster as a Mean of Communication

This diploma thesis with name "Social Poster as a Communication Tool" deals in the content with social advertisings and theirs potential use as a communication tool. The theoretical part deals with graphic design and especially the role of poster as a visual communication medium of advertising. Furthermore, the theoretical part outlines the historical development of advertising and lists the characteristic feature of social advertising, which defines in relation to commercial advertising. It outlines the historical development, refers about the legal and ethical problems of definition and raises questions about its impact and effectiveness in society. Furthermore, the theoretical part contains a list of characteristics of social advertising. It outlines an issues of legal and ethical definition and raises questions about its impact and effectiveness in society. The practical part of this work incorporates the creation own set of six social posters. Set of posters is quite focused on issues specific to the target group. In this context, the work is based on pedagogical and psychological knowledges peculiar to the target group. The assumption is further possible use posters as educational material in the second class students primary schools. On the basis of this materiál it is possible stimulate to discussion on the whole range of social issues. With this is suggested space for communication, asking questions and seeking answers.Part of this work is illustrated appendix, on which is referred to throughout the text. This section is also a record of the creative process and the resulting file of social posters and their possible variations.

Ethical and legal rules of advertisement

This diploma thesis is dedicated to the legal and ethical rules of advertisement, not only in relation to definitions and provisions of enactments and codes, but also to the point of view of cases solved in accordance to these rules. The thesis contains the definition of advertisement, characterization of illegal and unethical advertisement, description and comparison of self-regulation in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, including codes which are applied by these bodies. The self-regulation of European Union is described marginally. The other part of the thesis represents opinions of consumers in connection with ethical principles in advertisements and advertisements in general. A significant part of the thesis is dedicated to the analysis of complaints and cases received and resolved by both self-regulatory bodies in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom and cases resolved by Czech courts.
Self-regulation of advertising vs. legal regulation of advertising in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to describe and explain legal and ethical regulation of advertising in the Czech Republic. It also aims to analyze relevant legislation in the Czech legal system in more detail and compare it to the means of self-regulation. We shall refer to their advantages, disadvantages and the interconnection of both systems.

This diploma thesis mainly deals with the ethical rules of advertisement. In the general part, the thesis contains the definiton of advertisement and ethics, description of self-regulation in the Czech Republic, relationship between ethical and legal regulation and also self-regulation in other states. The second part analyses the number of complaints and ads discussed by Arbitration Committee. The diploma thesis is concluded with the opinions of consumers on advertisement in general, situation of self-regulation in the Czech Republic and ethical principles in advertisement.
Ethics in advertising

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the importance of ethics in advertising in contemporary society, on the basis of this information suggest approaches to improve observance of ethical principles in advertising and eliminate the spread of unethical advertisements and simultaneously outline arrangements in the case of potential and already existing conflicts of ethics and advertising. The thesis is divided into two major parts. The theoretical part provides key information concerning the subject ethics in advertising and advertising regulation. The practical part consists of examples of unethical advertising, evaluation of the questionnaire survey and it is supplemented with results of a survey MML -- TGI. The conclusion of the thesis presents a summary and evaluation of the finding results and provides marketing recommendations.
Analysis of problematic advertising

In the Czech Republic, advertisement is regulated by legislation and by the Czech Advertising Standards Council, which supplements the legislative requirements for advertising with an ethical dimension and establishes respective ethical rules through the Code of Advertising Practice. It cannot legally enforce compliance with the Code and therefore promotes self-regulation in this matter. The aim of this work is to analyze problematic advertising campaigns in the Czech Republic and to explain how the regulation of advertising is applied in practice. We present an analysis of campaigns which largely exceeded the limits set by the Code. The work should contribute to the understanding of why these infringements occur and how they could be prevented.
Regulation of advertising, focus on portrayal of women

The thesis deals with self-regulation in the advertising, especially image of women in advertising. The main theme focuses on portrayal of women in advertising, gender stereotypes, and sexism. The practical part examines the available studies on women's image and analyzes advertising dealt with Arbitration Commission of Advertising Council in period 2005 - 2009. In conclusion there is a set of recommendations for self-regulatin in advertising.
The legal and ethic regulation

The main subject of the final Bachelor thesis The legal and the ethic regulation in advertising is summary of Czech legal rules in connection with advertising. It describes mainly ethic point of view according to Codex of Advertising. Practical part describes chosen causes of several past years, which were solved by the Council for Advertising. In the end of the work there is presented the difference of ethic perception in commercial and social advertising.
