Employment of people with hearing disabilities in the Karlovy Vary region

This bachelor's thesis deals the employment of people with hearing impairment in the Karlovy Vary region. The aim of thesis is to map and provide insight into the employment opportunities for people with hearing impairments in the territory of the selected region, as well as the support options that people with hearing impairments can use from the point of view of state and non- profit institutions. In the first chapters of the theoretical part, the classification of people with hearing impairment, methods of communication, barriers and preparation for the profession of people with hearing impairment is briefly described. Subsequently, attention is paid to the issue of employment, the importance and possibilities of employment of person with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic. Then the characteristics of the institutions that deal with the issue of employment of people with hearing impairment are specified. Specifically, it is the employment office, the public welfare society Tichý svět (The Silent World) and non-profit organization Czech Union of the Deaf. Private schools in the primary education system: case study of the Karlovy Vary Region

This diploma thesis focuses on private primary in the Karlovy Vary Region. It is a case study whose main aim is to present private primary schools in the context of the development of private schools at the national level. It looks at the trend of recent years, when there has been an increase in private schools across the regions of the Czech Republic. The thesis is based on secondary data obtained from relevant documents related to private education and from the known evidence available in the country. It presents the facts about private primary schools from the perspective of various authors who primarily deal with the topic in the Czech environment. The theoretical basis of the work is based on the supply and demand for education. Attention is also paid to parents as actors who have a significant influence on the existence of private primary schools. Engineering geological mapping in the Karlovy Vary and Pilsen regions

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of engineering geological mapping on a scale of 1: 5,000 in the territory of the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions (formerly the area of the West Bohemian Region). The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, a search of professional literature was carried out describing the methodology of creating engineering geological maps, consisting of preparatory work, field work and the actual completion of the entire elaborations. It also discusses the gradual development of engineering geological survey and mapping in the cross-section of the 1940s to the 1990s. In the practical part, 23 final, accompanying and interim reports are processed together with map, laboratory and documentation outputs. Map outputs at a scale of 1:5 000 were digitized using the QGIS software with the georeferencing tool in raster graphics. An orthophoto map and a state map from the 1950s were used as a basis for the fitting points.
Czech-Germans from Karlovy Vary region in the British Royal Air Force

Thesis deals with the so far neglected topic of German speaking members of the British Royal Air Force (RAF) during the Second World War, who came from the territory of today's Karlovy Vary region. In the first chapter, attention is focused to the topic in the general context - Czechoslovak citizens of German nationality who fought for the liberation of Czechoslovakia in the Czech army, i.e. in the Air force. Few selected stories of RAF members from the Karlovy Vary Region are presented. In addition to the military services themselves, the author deals with the motivation for joining the resistance and the fate of the families of all these soldiers during the Second World War. Author is also placed on their fates after 1945 and general context of their life stories. Social work with substance users in Karlovy Vary Region from the point of view of social workers

Introductions: The diploma thesis deals with the quality of social services for people at risk addicted or dependent on addictive substances in the Karlovy Vary Region from the perspective of social workers who work with these persons in the Karlovy Vary Region in contact centers and in outreach programs. For people at risk of addiction or dependent on addictive substances in the Karlovy Vary Region, social services for people over 15 years of age work well, as well as two aftercare clinics run by the non-profit organization Kotec o.p.s. and an addiction clinic run by the organization Světlo Kadaň z.s. The respondents with whom the research was carried out for the needs of this diploma thesis stated that it would be necessary to establish at least eight additional services for the mentioned group in the Karlovy Vary Region. Social policy aspects in Just Transition Plan from the perspective of Multiple Streams Framework

The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the process of creation of social policy in the Just Transition Plan (JTP). JTP is the leading document of the Just Transition Fund, which is part of the Operational Programme Just Transition Fund. This program helps the three most affected regions with the transformation of the coal industry. Primary goal of the Just Transition is the end of coal mining and coal energy. However, the fund can also be used for other purposes, and one of them is the involvement of social policy in the form of aiding those who lost their job as a result of the transformation, as well as the long-term unemployed. It is a support from the European Union, however the EU gives the recipients of the subsidy quite a lot of freedom in the creation of Just Transition Plan. The analysis is based on the based on the theoretical concept of the Multiple Streams Framework. Gifted Education in The Karlovy Vary Region

The diploma thesis deals with the readiness of schools, primary school teachers and pedagogical-psychological centres of the Karlovy Vary Region for the inclusive education of gifted students. The first chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to current legislation and care in the education of gifted pupils. The thesis further describes the Karlovy Vary Region from the point of view of its socio-economic characteristics. Furthermore, the school policy and education of this region. which has its own specificities, is described in more detail. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the education of gifted students. The aim is to describe the typical forms of expressions of gifted pupils, forms of education and the role played by schools, teachers, and pedagogical-psychological centres in the education of these pupils. An important part of the gifted education is also their identification, which is sometimes more demanding than the education itself and several problems can arise during it. Professional qualification of elementary school teachers of the Karlovy Vary region in relation to Act. No. 563/2004 Coll.

The paper analyzes the competence of teachers in elementary schools of the Karlovy Vary Region in the context of finding the opportunities, needs and problems of university degree-qualified teachers study in combined form. The main goal is to provide forecasts of fulfilling the conditions laid down by Act No. 563/2004 Coll., as amended by the prescribed professional qualification of teachers of primary schools by the end of 2014 with proposals to eliminate the potential risks of development. Based on the results obtained by analyzing the competence of primary school teachers, supply conditions and needs of university-qualified teachers combined study by questionnaire was possible to formulate a forecast level of competence of teachers in elementary level of the Karlovy Vary Region of 78.5 %. The development proposals for the elimination of risk can be regarded as a key respecting the needs of unqualified teachers, intensive collaboration with the municipalities as school founders in the region and ensure teacher participation in school projects Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness (ECOP) in the open field of educational study of Science.
