Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na zhodnocení inženýrskogeologického mapování v měřítku 1: 5 000 na území Plzeňského a Karlovarského kraje (dříve oblast Západočeského kraje). Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části byla vyhotovena rešerše odborné literatury popisující metodiku tvorby inženýrskogeologických map, skládající se z přípravných prací, terénních prací i samotné kompletace celých elaborátů. Dále pojednává o postupném vývoji inženýrskogeologického průzkumu a mapování v průřezu 40. až 90. let 20. století. V praktické části je zpracováno 23 závěrečných, průvodních a průběžných zpráv spolu s mapovými, laboratorními a dokumentačními výstupy. Mapové výstupy v měřítku 1:5 000 byly digitalizovány pomocí softwaru QGIS nástrojem georeferencování v rastrové grafice. Jako podklad pro lícovací body byla použita ortofotomapa a státní mapa z 50. let 20. století. The bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of engineering geological mapping on a scale of 1: 5,000 in the territory of the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions (formerly the area of the West Bohemian Region). The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, a search of professional literature was carried out describing the methodology of creating engineering geological maps, consisting of preparatory work, field work and the actual completion of the entire elaborations. It also discusses the gradual development of engineering geological survey and mapping in the cross-section of the 1940s to the 1990s. In the practical part, 23 final, accompanying and interim reports are processed together with map, laboratory and documentation outputs. Map outputs at a scale of 1:5 000 were digitized using the QGIS software with the georeferencing tool in raster graphics. An orthophoto map and a state map from the 1950s were used as a basis for the fitting points.
