Support for students with mental health disorders at a selected high school

1 ABSTRACT The thesis focuses on the occurrence of mental disorders in adolescents and the provision of support through school counseling services. This topic is current and requires extensive discussion and increased public attention due to the growing issue of mental health problems among young people. The aim of the thesis is not only to clarify but also to describe in detail the issue of mental disorders in adolescents, with a special focus on school counseling centers and their staff. The theoretical part of the thesis presents an analysis of basic concepts related to health, adolescence, and mental disorders. It also includes a list of the most common mental disorders occurring in this age group. In addition, it provides a detailed analysis of the school counseling system, which provides a deeper insight into the structure and organization of the support provided. The practical part of the thesis utilizes qualitative research, which includes observations of the school environment, analysis of school documents, and interviews with school counseling center staff. Use of didactic aids for pupils with special educational needs in the Secondary Practical School

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the need for a set of didactic aids for pupils with different special educational needs, the creation and verification of a set of didactic aids for pupils in the field of 2-year Practical School, which can be used in the teaching of the subjects Sewing and Working with materials. Due to the lack of suitable aids in the field of sewing and working with materials for secondary school pupils with a wide range of disabilities and disadvantages, it seemed like an appropriate solution to invent and create tailor-made aids based on theoretical analysis of the issues of education of pupils with SEN, mostly with mild and moderate mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders and combined disabilities or with impaired communication skills. In the practical part, the method of observation, interview and action research was used to verify didactic materials in specific teaching situations with pupils of the 2-year Practical School at Secondary Vocational School in Liberec. The use of tablets in the teaching of the German language at primary school

The general goal of this thesis is to map the use of tablets in the teaching of the German language at a selected primary school. The theoretical part is devoted to the integration of digital technologies into teaching in the Czech Republic, the technical characteristics of tablets, their management and their subsequent didactic use in German language classes. This section also mentions the advantages and disadvantages of using tablets in teaching. The first goal of the practical part of the diploma thesis was to find out what results the selected students working with tablets (iPads) achieve compared to students who work without tablets (iPads) in relation to the educational goal of the lesson. The second goal of the practical part was to map the opinions and attitudes of selected German language teachers and selected students on the subject of the inclusion and use of tablets in German language classes. Toxic Plants and Fungi - Student Awareness of Specific Species as Prevention of Intoxication

ABSTRACTS The aim of this study is to evaluate the knowledge of poisonous plants and fungi among students and teachers and to present an overview of selected poisonous species of plants and fungi. The theoretical part focuses on the educational system and the inclusion of this issue in the Czech curriculum. The subsequent section presents case studies of serious poisonings of children, which served as one of the bases for selecting the individual species mentioned in the study. The overview of the individual species focuses on the description, active substances, and symptoms of poisoning, along with information on possible first-aid measures. Historical curiosities about some species are provided as potential didactic tools for teaching. In the practical part, I focus on verifying hypotheses, assuming a limited knowledge of this issue among both teachers and children. In the conclusion of the thesis, I confirm the hypothesis of superficial knowledge of poisonous plants and fungi among teachers. The hypothesis of children's lack of knowledge about the mentioned issue was not confirmed, but their knowledge was bolstered by a previous presentation on the topic. This diploma thesis deals with the issue of sexual and gender identity of children and adolescents. It researches the education of children and adolescents with a different gender identity from a philosophical, psychological and sociological point of view and further the role of teachers, parents and society as a whole. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains chapters devoted to education and upbringing of children and adolescents with a different gender identity, new perspective on gender identity and the support of individual trans. The practical part focuses on a study that examines the attitude of teachers, parents and students towards transgender issues. he aim of the practical part is to map the level of respect for differences from the point of view of teachers, parents and pupils at one secondary vocational school in a district town in the Central Bohemian Region, and further map the views from abroad of three secondary vocational schools. History of the school in Stachy in the years 1939 - 1989

The diploma thesis deals with the history of the school in Stachy in the given period. The first part of the thesis describes the village of Stachy and its history. In the next part, a brief overview of the course of education in the area from the time of the House of Habsburg´s Monarchy to the time of the formation of the Czechoslovakian Republic is given. In the next chapters, particular historical periods are described from the point of view of historical events as well as events that happened in the school and might have influenced the moral values of teachers. This was the way how the picture of studied time was created. The sources for this work were the extant school chronicles deposited in the archive in Prachatice, the Chronicle of the school in Stachy, the minutes taken during pedagogical meetings, and narrations of contemporaries.

The view of educationalists and the class collective on the inclusive education of pupils a rare neuromuscular disease

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of pupils with a rare neuromuscular disease. It focuses primarily on students with spinal muscular atrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The importance of multi-disciplinary cooperation and communication between school and family is underlined here. The purpose is to map the specifics and the problematic situation in the inclusion of pupils with ND in primary schools and to analyze the conditions of inclusion of pupils with ND in the class group, the limits of this inclusion and above all possible pitfalls. Implementation of career counseling at secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office in the Karlovy Vary region

Rigorous work on the topic of Implementation of career counseling at secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office in the Karlovy Vary region deals in the research part with ontogenetic aspects in the period of adolescence in the context of choosing a profession. The personality of the adolescent individual is taken into account, while social-psychological factors in the process of transitioning to the labor market are included. One of the chapters deals with career concepts. Subsequently, options for career counseling at the level of secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office of the Czech Republic are addressed. In the empirical part of the work, the set research goals are fulfilled. The fulfillment of the set goals consists in the verification of cooperation in career counseling at secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office in the Karlovy Vary Region. In this context, the actual implementation of career counseling at individual levels and the use of these services by pupils is verified.
