Legal consciousness of school-age children

Despite of the fact that the Czech Republic i s a developed country there are sti ll some challenges to be faced in childrens rights domain, mostly in involving children into everyday life of society connected with their participative rights. The thcoretical chapters analyze the childrens rights movement, and the implementing and monitoring ofthe Convcntion on the Rights ofthe Child both on the intemational and national Ieve!, with emphasis placed on Roma population in the Czech Republic. The research was focused on the lega! awareness of Czech school children with special consideration for Roma children as well. About one thousand children expressed their opinions and attitudes toward their rights.

Operators on the emergency line 155. Reviewing operators control over calls (with callers) by means of transactional analysis

The work focuses on reviewing phone calls to the 155 emergency line of the Emergency Medical Service, by means of transactional analysis. The review concentrated on how the operators controlled the phone calls. We studied their ways of dealing with the requests that were the subject matter of the emergency line calls. Transactional analysis has proved to be a good instrument to analyze procedures the operators had chosen to conduct the calls. The outcomes helped describe characteristics of both constructively and unconstructively conducted calls. The results can provide good basis for complementing the currently purely medical training of the emergency line operators, to include the dimension of psychological variables, which may affect the course of calls.

The social impact of current trends in education

In my thesis I deal with the concept of lifelong learning, as implemented in the European Union, and its significance for some of the socially and economically disadvantaged groups. My thesis is a study built on the fundamental documents of the European Union and on my professional experience. I describe the social changes of the late 20th and early 21st century. It represents a significant change of the concept of education and counseling, including new terminology. I present comparison of the situation before and after the Czech Republic joined the European Union. It contains description of the implementation of European strategies in the Czech Republic, presents an overview of implemented programs, activities and organizations working in the field of lifelong learning and lifelong guidance. This study shows that since joining the European Union many of the strategies implemented are succesfully implemeted at the national level. Creating a system of lifelong learning was asserted as a priority of social policy. Mediation

Ve své práci se zabývám popisem mediačního procesu, jeho porovnáním s ostatními přístupy k řešení konfliktů a sporů prostřednictvím třetí neutrální strany. Práce představuje roli mediátora, mediační styly i jednotlivé fáze mediačního procesu. Předkládám také možnosti využití mediace v rámci sociální práce. V neposlední řadě se věnuji postavení mediace v české republice a apeluji na nutnost ukotvení tohoto procesu v české legislativě. Na závěr upřesňuji některé vybrané pojmy z mediační terminologie. Application of modern human resesources management methods to Czech company culture

We set a goal for our thesis to map possibilities of application of modern human resources management methods under the Czech companies circumstances. We wanted to critically evaluate the reasonons for different level of the final status. This thesis deals in it's first part with theory of modern human resource management. Using available Czech and foreign literature it analysis various areas of human resource management such as resource planning, recruitment of personnel, personnel development, work satisfaction and work behavior. The works devotes one of its chapters to very importatnt area of a copany culture along with employer - employee relationship. At the end of theoretical section is presented specification of human resources management results measurement. In the practical section of the thesis are detaildly elaborated two case studies of multinational companies documented by several appendices in original version as it is used by the respectiv companies. The results are furthermore verified at ten other multinational companies. With these companies a probe by a questionnaire specificaly designed by the autor to suit the needs of this thesis was carried out.

Zajištění realizace Evropské úmluvy o krajině v další činnosti MŽP: Analýza strategických přístupů a nástrojů udržitelného využívání krajiny k naplnění principů Evropské úmluvy o krajině v ČR

Výstup je souborem zjištění o stavu a možnostech uplatňování Evropské úmluvy o krajině v podmínkách ČR. Proto v první a druhé části (kap.II. a III.) provádí rozbor uspořádání veřejné správy v ČR, jako právního a mocenského prostředí pro krajinné politiky, v třetí a čtvrté části (kap. IV. a V.) hledá polohu pro koncepční plánování krajiny, v části páté (kap. VI.) podává nástin filosofie dotační politiky na ochranu a tvorbu krajiny v ČR. Výsledkem je zjištění, že přes nesourodé členění státu je rozhodujícím nositelem krajinných politik pro ochranu jedinečnosti krajiny kraj, na který je nutno v rámci subsidiarity nutno přenést většinu grantových fondů na úseku ŽP.
