Tetour, Vlastimil ; Niederlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Höschlová, Eva (referee)
Diploma thesis strives to identify the effectiveness of sociomapping in relation to selected charakteristics of work groups and teams. Literature review section defines the theoretical background of group and teamwork, which is being followed by the topics of team states and processes, team communication, mental models, team climate and teamwork effectivity. The final part focuses on team interventions, ways of evaluating their effectiveness and introduces specific aspects of sociomapping. The empirical part uses quantitative research approach, which analyzes the relationship between the method of sociomapping and its effect on the frequency of team communication, shared mental models in the form of the difference between the optimal and current frequency of communication and team climate. The sociomapping intervention is expected to have an effect on team performance in the form of higher hotel rating and team performance assessment. Both values were measured before and after the intervention. It is expected, that the frequency of team communication, the difference between optimal and current frequency of communication and team climate will behave as mediators. The results showed that sociomapping intervention is positively related to hotel rating (p = 0.014), but not to team performance...

Růžička, Vojtěch ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Stehlík, Luděk (referee)
We live in a world in which it became the norm that people but also countries owe more than their annual earnings. We have a wide range of available capital within our reach, but also great risks of unrepayable debts. Simultaneously, only little attention is paid to the impact of debts on the psyche of the debtors. The presented thesis explains some of these aspects. The first chapter of the thesis deals with a brief history of debt, its role in the society, and basic terminology. The second chapter addresses the creditor and his relation to the debtor. In the third chapter, we focus on the debtors and their mental characteristics and risk factors for indebtedness. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, we attend the incurrence of debt and psychological context that hinder its redemption. The research part of the thesis draws comparison between time perspective pursuant to the P. Zimbardo theory and indebtedness of the individuals through a questionnaire survey. The results of the research have shown just a particular coherence among time perspective for the individual types of the debt examined, yet the results have shown significant differences among the debtors who are unable to redeem their obligations in time. Furthermore, this chapter represents the seed of the development of a separate...
New psychometric approaches to personality measurement - digital footprints analysis
Fousková, Petra ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Fabianová, Ivana (referee)
Digital technologies have become an inherent part of both our personal and professional lives. We send e-mails, share posts on social networks, take selfies. This has been bringing new opportunities for using different type of data than it was typical for psychometry in the past. This thesis deals with the possibilities of using digital footprints for personality traits and intelligence measurement. The first part of the thesis focuses on possibilities of personality traits estimation, or rather prediction, based on an analysis of text, photography and online user behaviour. The second part examines the extent to which is possible to estimate personality traits measured by Hogan Personal Inventory from digital footprints on the professional social network LinkedIn. The outcome from the proposed research could be potentially used as a source of information in the employee selection process.

Tefelnerová, Pavla ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Höschlová, Eva (referee)
Work of groups in the extreme, isolated and confined environment relates to the high risks and demands as well. One of the groups working in that specific conditions are the space crews. Attention has been focused recently on preventing the risk of their failure. For a successful fulfilment of the space missions, it seems that the relations between the crew members are crucial. They manifest in various areas: communication, cooperation, group cohesion, mutual trust, support and others. The theoretical part of this thesis describes selected factors related to interpersonal relationships. Two groups of factors are discussed - factors connected with a diversity of the crew and the and the situational factors. There is a discussion of the methods used for measuring and assessing the interpersonal relations, their advantages and limitations. As a follow-up to this part, socio-diagnostic method called "sociomapping" is described in detail because of its use in the empirical part of the thesis. The goal of the empirical part is to analyse two areas: the development of the group dynamics during a mission and the connection between the gender-mixed crew and the tendency to creating the subgroups. Previous research show ambiguity in the research findings. For this purpose, data from 17-day simulation of the...

Subjective perception of time focusing on short-term activities
Kafková, Lucie ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Lukavský, Jiří (referee)
The diploma thesis investigates the subjective perception of time, especially the exactness of the interval length estimation, subjective passage of time, in relation to the time perspective, the level of difficulty in emotion regulation and age. Furthermore, the thesis investigates differences in retrospective and prospective paradigm in interval length estimate. Research was conducted online, with a total number of 180 respondents. Data collection had occurred during a 4 month period. Main instruments were the Czech versions of the ZTPI - Zimbardo's time perspective inventory and the DERS-SF-CZ - Difficulty in emotion regulation scale; moreover, for the declaration of subjective passage of time was employed a method of verbal estimation. Subjective interval length was registered after finishing rewriting of two short texts. The results have showed statistically significant relationships between subjective passage of time and age; between the level of difficulty in emotion regulation and subjective passage of time. Amongst the persons orientated onto positive and negative past, there was found a significant relationship between the subjective passage of time and the difficulty in emotion regulation. Results have also shown that the interval length is overestimated in both, prospective and...

The influence of situational and personality factors on willingness to pay for worthless information
Frollová, Nikola ; Vranka, Marek (advisor) ; Höschlová, Eva (referee)
Thesis presents recent relevant studies of cognitive biases and false perceiving of randomness. There is an ongoing general belief that past performance automatically predicts future performance even in the cases when the result is act of randomness. This became inspiration for the main topic of my scientific research. Based on recent relevant literature I study if it is possible to influence people buying valueless information by evoking feeling of loss. Also I am trying to answer question which personal factors stand behind this behaviour. The results shows, that the manipulation with loss had nothing to do with buying valueless information. However it seems that personality factors are connected with this phenomenon to a certain extent. I had identified one factor called 'Irrational Thinking', which partly explains why 71% of the participants were interested in valueless transaction.
Time perception and related cognitive biases
Katrňák, Marek ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Stehlík, Luděk (referee)
The thesis aims to describe and explain phenomenon of time perception and variables influencing the proces. Many cognitive biases are related to time perception, influencing our judgemental and decision- making processes. The thesis consists of three main parts. First one explains time perception from phenomenological as well as neurological point of view. The aim is also to uncover individual aspects of time perception such as succession, duration, subjective passage of time and time perspectives. Second, broader part is dedicated to judgement and decision-making processes, cognitive biases and biases related specifically to time perception. I focus on phenomenons of intertemporal decision, temporal discounting, time saving bias, planning fallacy and sunk cost fallacy. The effort was to reveal variables entering the proces while offering practical approaches to eliminate impact of such biases. The third part proposes a research aiming to explain the influence of educational intervention on planning behavior and examines it's relation to time perspectives. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

As the economic socialization of an individual is in progress, it is explicitly explained by its developmental phases. There are also aspects of the ability to defer grace in connection with savings and pocket money. The empirical part presents a research proposal dealing with the ability of deferred gratification in relation to economic literacy and experience with pocket money.
