"Become a detective" - Topic work focused on forensic analysis

UHERČÍKOVÁ, G. : "Become a detective" (Topic work focused on forensic analysis). Master thesis. Prague, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science, Department of Teaching & Didacties of Chemistry, 2013. This thesis deals with the preparation of a draft project for secondary school students on the theme "Become a detective." This is a complex project that is focused not only on the information of biology and chemistry, but also for forensic analysis. The theoretical part is focused on a general production project, forensic analysis, fingerprints, DNA and qualitative analysis. Theory of this part helps pupils and teachers to understand the problem. The practical part contains the whole project within worksheets to copyright solution for teachers. Worksheets are designed to help students manage the entire project. Materials designed for students are attached to this thesis. The project was tested on 30. 4. 2013 in the laboratory of the Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The project involved 13 pupils from Gymnasium Omská, Prague, 10.

This diploma work Addicted Substances - project for the lower secondary school is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is giving information about addicted drugs and method of teaching by form of projects, proposing and realization of project with this topic, which could be used for other teachers. Theoretical part is intent on summary of question of addicted substances, where the terms addicted substances, abuse of addicted drugs - its symptoms or risks, causes of drugs addiction and some terms, what are connected with this question (e.g. habit, tolerance, addiction, syndrome of abstinence), are clarified. In this work, there are also mentioned division of these substances in more points of views, character of chosen addicted substances, where is described basic division according to availability - legal and illegal drugs. Representatives or categories of addicted substances, their characteristic and effects on human organism, are mentioned within this dividing. Issues of projects, their methods and project teaching, fall into theoretical part too. The terms like schooling, its methods, project method or project and key term project are also clarified here. Methodology of teaching regional history on the example of the Pilsen Region

Methodology of teaching regional history on the example of the Pilsen Region is trying to capture the educational importance of regional history, assess what role regional history teaching plays (should play and could play) in primary schools, and develop an effective way to implement regional themes in the teaching process. The methodology deals with the definition of the region and the approach of this term in historiography. It provides a brief outline of the history of Pilsen historiography completed with a comprehensive account of recent historical literature of regional history of Pilsen and the Pilsen Region, which allows teachers to navigate through the menus historical literature of regional provenance. It further outlines the educational importance of regional history and their role in the current basic education. Besides the theoretical part the methodology also includes project suggestions and guide for realization of an exhibition.

Heritage education and learning: Cases from the North Catalonia

Heritage education and learning: Cases from the North Catalonia Annotation: My thesis deals with the options of the cultural and historical education in France, in particular in the North Catalonia. The work represents the relation between regional monuments and schools.In the first part, I define the term cultural heritage as such, than I focus on two cultural resorts in the North Catalonia.The second part of the thesis illustrates the connection between the monuments and schools in France, emphasizing the project teaching. The patrimony, being not studied today as a separate subject, remains an important part of one's education. However, the knowledge acquisition offers a large variety of teaching styles. Lastly, my work shows the educational services with concrete realisations of the projects in cooperation with schools. Use of drama methods in historical studies at primary school

This thesis examines the possibilities of linking historiographical education and drama curriculum in primary school using action research. The theoretical part examines various educational and psychological bases that support the idea of linking drama and historiographical education and defines the possibilities of the involvement of drama as a teaching method in the primary school. The practical part contains specific proposal of two lessons with historiographical themes and also includes evaluation of their implementation in 4th and 5th class. Both lessons are designed and implemented in accordance with the teachings of Three-phase, respecting the psychological aspects of the target group. Lessons use mainly drama methods, marginally methods of curriculum Reading and writing to critical thinking, Experiential learning, Project teaching and Cooperative learning are used. Action research is evaluated through observation and detailed description of teacher reflection.
Activities with the paper in education programs pre-primary education

Abstact The diploma thesis aims to develop the theme "Activities with the paper in education programs pre-primary education", evaluates the importance of these activities for development of fine motor skills and connections to general educational program for preschool education in the Czech Republic. Through survey the thesis examines the experiences of the kindergarten teachers with realization of activities with paper during their work with children and also current status of necessary equipment for this work in kindergarten. The practical section of this diploma thesis summarizes the experiences with realization of an annual project called "We form with paper", in mixed-age class of the kindergarten.
Concert. Creative project for art education at the primary school.

The thesis follows up processing of art project with topic concert as part of art education at primary school. The overall concept reflected interdisciplinary relations like art education, music and drama. The designed project was realized at one of the primary school in České Budějovice and it is documented in project part of thesis. The theoretical part show relationship between visual art and music in progression of culture. Thesis is developing issue of concert scene in context theatre technology and scenic design. The next part of thesis describe interactions between art education and music in viewpoint curricular documents and it focus on artistic-project methods in art education.
