The Exchange Between the Student and the Teacher

To fullfill the practical part of my diplom task, I asked one of the teachers at our school to do the practical part instead of me. I gave him freedom in choosing the medium, topic and the lenght or format. The only condition is the quality of the work and proper explanation of its meaning. I will not be informed about his work untill the moment of presentation in front of the chosen comision where, during the discussion, my real income appears. The purpose of this work is to search for new moments in recyclation of artistic traditions.


Psychosocial Impacts of Injuries in Children

Accidents are widespread society problem concerning all age groups of population at present. In children, they are even the main cause of mortality. Injury is the main cause of death, hospitalization and disability in children over 1 year of age in the Czech Republic and it represents a serious health, economic and social problem. Traffic accidents, intentional self-harm and drowning are the leading causes of fatal injuries among children aged 0?19 years in the Czech Republic. Traffic accidents cause the most serious long-term injuries of children aged 0?19 years. Most child injuries happen at home, nearhome, in school, and while playing sports. Injury mortality rates among boys are significantly higher than among girls. Abstract part focuces on person characteristic with handicap, explains term Family, Difficult life-time situation. It aims at evaluating the impact of acquired physical disabilities on children?s lives and their families, and also on the awareness of patients and their families about subsequent care options. Furthermore, the thesis calls attention to gaps and sequencing in the healing and therapeutic process and insufficient interaction among individual components of complex rehabilitation in practice. The empirical section, which uses qualitative research methods, focuses on the sample consisting of five children with acquired physical disabilities and their families. The core of this section includes analysis of semi-structured interviews with children and their family members.

Contemporary Methods in Architectural Design

The paper focuses on design methods and possible uses of origami structures in architecture and interior design. I study and document the works and paper models by theoreticians such as: Joseph Albers, who used to teach origami techniques to architects and designers at the Bauhaus school; Anton Vranka, the pioneer of bionic architecture, based on transforming surfaces into threedimensional structures; Yoshinobu Miyamoto, a contemporary Japanese architect and scholar focusing on origami architecture; and Paul Jackson, an origami artist who abstracts and categorises folding techniques for use in design.


Use of a project in the work with mentally handicapped adults

Annotation: This thesis deals with the possibilities of using the project to work with adults with learning and mental handicap. In the theoretical part of the work the basic concepts related to mental disability is characterized. Furthermore, it comprises the conditions and possibilities of contemporary care for adults with mental disabilities. The practical part describes the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a specific project of leisure activities for clients of SPMP Modrý klíč School (Blue Key School) named "history windows open".

Effective Strategies of Forming Legal Consciousness of Upper-Secondary School Students

The presented PhD. thesis deals with effective strategies of forming legal consciousness of upper-secondary school students, and with methods that can be used for developing it. So far, legal scholars have paid only insufficient attention to this topic, even though many law experts have repeatedly pointed out its importance. Moreover, they stress the fact that a more detailed understanding of legal consciousness of citizens and of ways of influencing it can help us better understand how law works within the society. The thesis opens with the theoretical part, which defines the concept of legal consciousness, describes its level captured by the available empirical research and identifies effective strategies, which possess the potential to cultivate legal consciousness of the youth. In the following practical part, the author seeks to verify effectiveness of these strategies by means of student questionnaires, interviews with teachers and observations of their lessons. Canistherapy for children in children homes

The bachelor thesis focuses on canistherapy in children homes for children with hearing afflictions. Canistherapy is an effective form of zoorehabilitation, which has a significantly positive influence on psychologoical well-beeing of humans. It has become a supportive method for children living in children homes for this reason mainly. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the application of the canistherapeutical method - Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) as a supportive method in children home established by the Day nursery school, basic and grammar school for children with hearing afflictions. This work is concipated into two parts ? theoretical and practical (research). The theoretical part consists of two chapters, out of which the first one deals with general rules and organisation of canistherapy and the relationship between humans and dogs. The second chapter is concerned with children homes and application of canistherapy there. The second chapter is more factual and is followed by a research, connected with it. The practical part has been carried out by the method of qualitative research. The method of involved observation and semi-controlled dialogues took place in the children home which is branched to the Day nursery school, basic and grammar school for the children with hearing afflictions.

Medicine in classical antiquity and so-called alternative medicine today

My Bachelor's written work is about history of medicine from prehistoric ages to the end of Antique period, further about medicine which was done from herbs and used in Ancient med, their force in nowadays folk and complementary medicine. A force of then men of worth and schools of med, especially Hippocrates and his scholars, Galen and Dioscuridos, of nowadays orthodoxy and alternative medicine is clear. The second part of my work is consisted of audit of some generally known herbs potions which is used in folk medicine in Ancient time and nowadays. The work deals with problem of nutrition briefly, diets during illness and sleep cure in the temples of Gods - healers.

Possibilities of psychological assessment and school performance of pupils with hearing impairment

My work deals with the possibilities of psychological diagnostic of hearing impaired children.It is divided into two parts: theoretical and research. The theoretical section describes and differentiates the hearing impaired population from audiological, psychological and social views. It further examines questions of teaching this group of children in the past and present. The third part of this section describes the specifics of psychological diagnosis of the hearing impaired. The research section of my work describes empirical results of research and sources of research data.. The research itself includes longitudinal data psychological examinations of students in two schools for hearing impaired children. The data is processed in quantitative form of median results for each individual examination. Next correlation and comparison of possible relations is evaluated between performed examinations. The third part consists of data grouped together by results into groups A, B, and C. From these groups are confirmed diagnostics profiles of probands which are illustrated qualitatively by several casuistic. The conclusion describes and confirms proven research hypothesis and interpreted results in context of specific teaching needs for different groups proven by this longitudinal research.
