ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with teaching Computing subjects at secondary schools in England as a model for transformation of teaching ICT at schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on the portability of aspects of teaching Computing to the Czech environment and endeavours to identify the possible barriers to implementation processes. The aim of the thesis is to bring new stimuli for changes in the Czech ICT curriculum that are based on the experience of teaching ICT and Computing in the UK. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of the analysis and comparison of the Czech and British curricular documents and the study of academic and journalistic texts. The empirical part uses questionnaires focused on opinions of Czech and English experts on teaching ICT or Computing. It also uses interviews with English teachers of Computing and observations of Computing and ICT lessons at English secondary schools. Causes of reading decline, their analysis and possible remedy

The diploma thesis examines the causes of the decline of reading, it deals with the analysis and possible remediation. The theoretical part introduces the concept of literacy, it monitors the current state of reading and it is based on the research findings. It analyzes the Framework educational programme closely related to literacy, it draws on relevant theoretical foundations, and presents reading strategies, methods and programmes that support the mentioned area. Family, school, teachers and significant motivation are identified as important factors of literacy development. Within the indicative empirical investigation the thesis focuses on the content analysis of School education programmes and teacher approach to literacy support. It refers to the development of reading in various areas of education for older pupils of primary school.
Reflection opinions of management on the development of school education system in the Czech Republic

Thesis on Reflection opinions of management schools in the development of the education system in the Czech Republic traces the development of Czech education from the perspective of headmasters of primary and nursery schools in Prague 8, who manages the school with legal personality. It deals with the major determinants moments - social transformation, economic reform, curriculum reform, legislative changes that affected the environment of Czech education over more than twenty years. Detailed mapping the environment through competence and responsibility, opinions, attitudes and actions insight into six areas - personal characteristics of school principals, education reform, curriculum reform, school culture and school cooperation with parents and pupils, the area professionally - personal development directors from the perspective of moral dilemmas that accompanied the work of directors for more than twenty years. Transformation of the curriculum in the field of Gastronomy 65-41-L/01, in the subject Vocational training

Introduction The main objective is to detect changes in the curriculum of vocational training in the subject field gastronomy. The work follows the overall insertion training in vocational training in selected periods; content filling training, implementation possibilities training in terms of legal status and the possibility of curriculum reform in the field of gastronomy, due to the employment of graduates in the labor market. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the historical definition of the term gastronomy, its historical development, from ancient times to the present situation in Czech Republic. Part of this part is also characteristic of concept development specialist education in secondary education and called. curricular reform in the Czech Republic. In the second part we will work effort to summarize the information submitted in the first part and demonstrate their application and impact of the current form of expert education in secondary schools in the Czech Republic.

The present state of listening activities in elementary school music lessons, and didactic suggestions for the integration of these activities in school teaching The thesis looks into the employment of listening activities at contemporary Czech schools. Its primary aim is to boost the motivation of school children to listen to classical music by means of choosing their preferred pieces in music lessons. The thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part analyses available sources connected with listening activities, such as materials for teachers, and textbooks certified by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports as one of possible tools. It looks into the place of listening activities in the contemporary Czech curriculum, and presents also information about listening from the music therapy point of view. The practical part analyses the present situation in the employment of listening activities at our schools. It detects spontaneous preferences of pupils in listening to classical music, and suggests how to use these spontaneous preferences to enhance the quality of music education at school, and build and encourage positive attitude of school children to classical music. Level of Understanding of Basics of Genetics and Molecular Biology by Students of Secondary Education

Genetics has been part of secondary education for decades. However, research on the outcomes of science education has long shown that pupils have various types of misconceptions and are not able to deeply understand the basic principles of heredity and genetics. This results in their inability to navigate in daily-life problems related to this topic and make informed decisions in their life. Deeper diagnostics of these problems as well as identification of their origin is still missing both abroad and in the Czech Republic, which unable to design effective steps leading to improvement of educational outcomes. Several analyses were conducted to describe the current state of genetics education at lower and upper secondary level in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the curriculum, textbooks, students understanding of the topic, conduction of the lessons and its impact on the students. Questionnaire was used as a main research tool. The questionnaire for pupils combined knowledge test and attitude items, while the questionnaire for teachers was used to reveal their approach and attitudes towards genetics lessons and teaching conditions of their school. Christian education in pre-primary education in the Kingdom of Spain

The aim of this diploma thesis was to investigate the position of Christian education in preschool education in Spain and how it is practically applied in preschool facilities. Theoretical part deals with Spanish education system, education of religion in European context, educational legislation with an emphasis on religion and its connection with Spanish state, the specifics of teaching of religion and teacher qualification requirements. The practical part aimed to translate and analyse the content of the Curriculum for the religious area and catholic morality in preschool education. This analysis found out that teaching of religion is a unique way to naturally connect several different educational areas. The second part of the research consisted of case studies of four preschools, two catholic and two public. The characteristics of the visited schools, observations of lessons of religion and three teaching materials were analysed and compared. There were observable similarities and differences between visited catholic and public schools, for example in the way the school presented itself or in the ratio of the number of students attending Religion lessons to Ethics lessons.
