Personal space and social interaction in public transport: the case of intercity bus traveling

Bachelor thesis is devoted to the public transport as a space where everyday social interactions take place. This issue is watched on a specific case of intercity bus. The social interaction of bus passengers is seen as dramaturgical proceeding of actors in specific social surroundings. The aim of this work is to describe social interactions and definition of personal space in the intercity bus. The work is theoretically based on the works of Erving Goffman. Findings in the empirical part of the work are based on the qualitative research data. The data were collected using the participant observation method on the passengers of specific intercity bus. The main conclusions of the paper include that interactions in the intercity bus only take place in the exceptional cases or when boarding the bus and only in the form of complimentary question on the vacancy. People, even in such a cramped space which is given by the seating configuration, try to define their personal space. They mostly use their body (they sit on the seat closer to the corridor in the middle of the bus) or items like clothes and luggage which they put on the seat next to them. Homeless Movement in Urban Area: Illustrated by the Example of Prague

The following text deals with homeless movement in an urban area and is based on a qualitative field research carried out in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, from the early November 2014 until the beginning of May 2015. The research of such a sensitive topic as homelessness demands much higher attention, with regard to respecting the ethical rules of the field research and publication of materials gained. Therefore, my thesis deals with the motives of their movement usually based on meeting basic human needs, and with general characteristics of locations they stay in. This information clarify why homeless people move in the city without revelation of exact maps of their location, because this may endanger my informants.
Use of ergotherapy in children's home

This bachelor's thesis called "Use ergotherapy in children's home" concerns subtitutional educational care with a special focus on children's home. Its theorecical part point sout specific features, typology and probleme of children who are involved in the substitutional educational care. It describes ergotherapy as a way of working with children placed in the children's home. It also describes how ergotherapy can be used for social skills development of the kids placed in these institutions due to the act number 109/2002. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis contains a suggestion of an ergotherapeutic programme which is focused both on an individul development as well as a group of children placed in the institutions of the substitutional educational care. The ergotherapeutic programme is designed for the communicational and cooperative development as well as establishing social interaction aminy children of the same age. Supervisor PhDr. Jan Šmíd, Ph.D., 126 pages. Thesis "The phenomenon of tattoo, body as a socio-cultural and art document" is about tattoo as not only a form of body decoration, but as a possible theme in arts teaching. The author tried to map the history of this ancient ornamentation, to justify rising interest in it in the present and last but not least, tried to find a way how to present it to elementary school students in a comprehensible way. The thesis includes examples of possible reasons and ways of tattoo, while trying to find a connection to rituals (traditional and modern). The important part is finding options how to include this topic in the arts teaching at elementary schools and how to approximate possible pros and cons of this ornamentation.

Supervisor PhDr. Jan Šmíd, Ph.D., 232 pages.(Appendices: 3 plastic objects) In my diploma paper, I attempted to map the origins and evolution of graffiti and street art. Their possible starting point, sources of inspiration and connection to art throughout history and the present day. I have also mentioned the overlapping into and use in advertising, contemporary art and design. I have briefly dealt with the socio-cultural influence and its connection to this form of art. In the theoretical part of my paper, I devoted my attention to new trends in graffiti and street art. In the didactic part, I used specific ecological trends to create art series. Through this I linked art and environmental education and verified that students in the specific group are interested in incorporating this topic into their curriculum. A part of the is a research survey which shows the opinions and principally confirmed the interest of students in the specific group in this topic.
Social competencies of a teacher at primary school

This diploma thesis deals with social competences of a teacher at primary school. The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis was to explore the area of the social competences in current professional literature and curricula, and to analyze the social competences of a teacher necessary to developing their optimal relationships with pupils, class as a social group, parents of students and colleagues. The emphasis was placed on the description of use of the social competences of a teacher in pedagogical interaction, educational communication, the management of the class and during resolving conflicts. Special focus was given to teacher self-reflection, the importance of which is that it is the social competence enabling and influencing the development of other skills. The aim of the empirical part of this thesis was to determine which of thirteen social competences of a teacher at primary school are considered to be the most important in pedagogical interactions for pupils, parents of students and the teachers. We also examined how primary school teachers themselves applied and reflected thirteen monitored social competences in the situation of conflict, which of the thirteen social competences they used when they were resolving the conflict and which of the competences they did not apply. Formation of attachment in children living in children's home

9 ABSTRACT One of a child's basic psychological needs is the need for a stabile emotional bond. The theses researches if the children from private children's home Radost are able to establish such specific emotional bonds to the carers employed there. The Czech Radost children's home follows principles and guidelines established by a well know German children's home. This German facility places emphasis on nurturing the emotional bonds of children, and as such differs considerably from classic state institutions. The underlying assumption is that given the right conditions and support, children have a high chance to create specific emotional bonds. In order to gain the necessary data it was chosen the method of qualitative evaluation with participant observation as the prevailing research strategy. The data are triangulated with some other methods including: semi-structured interviews, analysis of file documentation and a modified version "Test of Family Relationships" (Kovařík, 1993). The data analysis is enriched with knowledge and experiences from two other children's homes abroad, where saturation of psychological needs of children is a priority (Danish and German model). Problems in Social Contact with a Person with Visual Impairment

Téma: Problémy v sociálním kontaktu s člověkem se zrakovým postižením Autor: Markéta Víšková Abstract The bachelor thesis is focused on the concept of the visual impairment in the context of the phenomenon of otherness, quality of life, social contact and problems that the visual impairment brings in terms of social life. The author assumes that despite all inseparable characteristics and consequences of vision defects, such as problems in orientation and independent movement or deficit of visual stimuli, visual impairment is in particular a problem in psychosocial terms. The link between the three chapters of the present thesis is therefore the social dimension of disability. Therefore it is proceeded from the general topic of the attitude of the society to diversity, formative influence of terminology on the specific personality characteristics, needs and problems in social interaction between the people with visual disabilities and intact society. Chicane as a phenomenon of a school of today

This thesis is focused on the chicane as a phenomenon of a school of today. The aim is to explain how chicane is reflected in social relations. The firts section is engaged not only in the definition of the bullying, but also there are introduced its types, forms and stages. It is followed by the personality characteristics of its protagonists and the main causes of this behaviour. Finally, the introductory section handles with the bullying behaviour recognition, treatment and prevention. This thesis addresses the close link between the social interaction and the formation of personality in relation to bullying. The class is described in terms of social groups. The final part deals with the questions ragarding the interrelation of the bullying to the social class climate. Clothing and its role in human life

Thesis "Clothing and its role in human life" deals with the role and importance of the clothing in a postmodern society. The clothes, as an integral part of everyday life, is seen as an important element in creating an individual identity. The clothing is a part of the sign system and oneo f the means of nonverbal communication between individuals and can be regarded as one of the most important tools, by which an individual can show to their surroundings their identity and clearly define the membership of a particular group. The issue is devoted to an individual's identity based on the work of Zygmunt Bauman, who dedicated to this issue in his work called Liquid Modernity. Another important role of clothing is its importance to social interaction. The clothing is one of the means, by which we communicate with the world, through which we reveal information about ourselves as well as our views on the world.
