Family constellations of Bert Hellinger - therapeutic and consulting method
Malíková, Klára ; Junková, Vendula (advisor) ; Šturma, Jaroslav (referee)
Family constellations is a way of dealing with clienť s problems or issues, which can be used with individua! or group of clients. Author of this method is Bert Hellinger, german psychoterapist and priest. This phenomenological method of work has many similarities to several famous methods and approaches, for example Satir' s constellations, Moreno's psychodrama, Rieger' s island offamily. Iťs usually presented as controversial method. We tried to present its philosophy, its procedure and signify its position in Czech Republic. We wanted to :find out, which psychologicals or therapeutics phenomena can be seen during its process. Main importance of this work is in presentation of subjective evaluation and personal experiences of people, who actually attempted this method, to help them with their problems and personal development. Based on interviews with them we were looking for what does this method brings to clients, whether does it help, whether it is according to their opinion effective or not.
Active imagination. Options and risks
Teoretickým východiskem a základem naší práce Je analytická psychologie. Další vzdělávání a nové profesní zkušenosti poskytly autorce mnoho podnětů k vypracování obdobně tématicky zaměřené rigorózní...

Encounter groups: room for everyone?
Šaldová, Helena ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Junková, Vendula (referee)
The main aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to introduce Encounter groups. The beginning deals with the main concepts of humanistic psychology and Person Centered Approach (PCA), from which Encounter groups have derived. Relevant key themes, such as definition of the Encounter groups, their aims, their comparison with psychotherapy, and the role of a facilitator, are examined. Furthermore, a therapeutic process, which is characteristic for the Encounter groups, as well as for the PCA in general, is thoroughly described. This is followed by a presentation of critiques and an overview of research regarding effectiveness and indication of the Encounter groups. The theoretical part of the thesis is concluded by discussion of application and potential of the Encounter groups. Central to the empirical part of the thesis is a quantitative research, which examines differences in three psychological characteristics (defence mechanisms, locus of control, and coping strategies) between two groups. A sample of actual members of an Encounter group is compared to a sample of people who decided to leave it. Furthermore, the empirical part presents predictive factors determining the decision to leave or stay in an Encounter group. Moreover, some results are interpreted by means of data from an additional...
Methods and results of therapeutic effect's research
Hořejš, Nikola ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Junková, Vendula (referee)
This paper analyzes methods of therapeutic effect's research, its advantages and limitations. It describes the theory of therapeutic change, medical model of measurements and randomized clinical trials. Based on this we suggest a three-level evaluation of change, where clinical, statistical and comparative (effect size) view is used. We conclude that the high effectiveness of therapy has been proven, but it has not been determined so far, which therapy is the most effective and for which diagnosis. The techniques of therapies are far less relevant than the capabilities of the therapist and client and the common factors. In the empirical part we measure the effect of sevenweeks- long outpatient therapeutic community program at Horni Palata. In a non-RCT study with 162 clients we found, that the change was positive and statistically significant. The evaluation differs much with the tool (SCL-90, DZS, MMPI-2) and method that is used. The percentage of clinically improved ranges form 25 to 68, the effect size is between 0.33 and 0.66. The effect doesn't differ with sex, age, medication, diagnosis and therapist, but it correlates with the pre-treatment scores.
Systemic psychotherapy in theory and practice on becoming a psychotherapist
Novotná, Nora ; Štětovská, Iva (advisor) ; Junková, Vendula (referee)
The thesis investigates the process of becoming a psychotherapist in the context of systemic therapy. It outlines philosophical and psychotherapeutic roots of the systemic approach, emphasizing postmodern thinking, in particular poststructuralism, radical and social constructivism and modern biological gnoseology. The work discusses theoretical foundations as well as practical applications of the teaching of the Prague Institute for Systemic Therapy (IST). It covers five main lines of thoughts in systemic thinking - the Milan school of family therapy, strategic therapy by Milton Erickson, brief solution-focused therapy (BSFT), Hamburg school and the narrative approach. The work focuses on defining and delineating the role of the therapist and the client, and their cooperation in the therapeutic dialogue. It emphasizes therapist's self-reflection during the therapeutic process as the primary way of influencing the client, and it discusses models which make the self-reflection more efficient. The art of dialogue is presented as the fundamental skill of a systemic therapist. Last but not least, the work covers an important area of systemic ethics and supervision. The empirical part of the work investigates, using the qualitative based interview, the process of becoming a therapist on a sample of 19...

Describing of needs of mental patients by CAN-C
Kratochvílová, Tereza ; Junková, Vendula (advisor) ; Loneková, Katarína (referee)
In this dissertation we deal with needs of mental patients with psychotic disorder diagnose especially schizophrenia. Because of this we have chosen the CAN - C Test / Camberwell Assessment of Need / which was developed by King's College London - Institute of Psychiatry. The CAN Test describes medical and social needs of mental patients and gives a notice about sphere in which the care or therapy can help. The six months research has been in progres in the psychiatric department of Litoměřice hospital and 40 patients have been examinated. The attending physician's view has been described in the same way. Generally we have compared the way how patients feel their needs and the way of attending physicians. Research proved high correlation between these two groups and it confirmed our hypothesis about the necessity of psychological and psychotherapeutic help especially for these patients.
