Motivation as a tool of performance management

Offered diploma thesis based on motivation of employees´s issues. The attention is dedicated especially to human resources and to human resource management, measurement of organizational performance and incentive program. There are some theories of motivation and process of incentive program described. The most famous motivation concepts are defined in the diploma thesis. The practic part is created by research. The research is applied on production workers in selected department. The motivation is investigated help by questionnaire survey. The questionnaire is compiled according to Alderfer´s theory. Results are presentated help by graphs. Due to results of questionnaire surfy are suggested some provisions, which have objective to increase the motivation of emploees and performance of employees.

The thesis Motivation as a tool for performance management deals with the basic concepts associated with the characteristics of motivation and motivation theories. A good authorities manager have to be able motivate subordinace colleagues to create their willingness and interest to match corporate goals and mision of the organisation. This topis observe the theory of motivation that investigate the motives leading to a particular decision or activity. Theory of motivation is divided into three groups - instrumentality theory, theory focused on content and theory focused on process. The theoretical part is focused on the analysis of literature and expert sources dealing with human resource management, process management, employee performance, performance of organization, theory of motivation and effectiveness of motivational factors. Theoretical part of the thesis is related to empirical part, which is the Clayton Alderfer methodological procedure of motivation in company Česká spořitelna, a.s. The suggestions and recommendations for the future progress of the company are in conclusion of the diploma thesis.
Employees' opinions on chosen factors from a selected organization

The main aim of Bachelor thesis "Employees' opinions on chosen factors from a selected organization" was, on the basis of a questionnaire survey, to analyse employees' opinions from a selected organization on chosen motivation factors and to suggest a solution, which would lead to their improvement or more effective use. The aim of the theoretical part was to collect and specify chosen terms from the field of motivation of employees. The main method used in the practical part was a questionnaire survey, according to which suggestions were given by using analysis and sythesis. In the theoretical part a method of comparing information from available and relevant literary sources was used.
Comparison of teacher motivation in public and private high school

The bachelor thesis is focused on problems of teacher motivation in education. The subject of this thesis is to analyse methods of motivation, stimulation and possibilities of the teacher's professional growth. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the concept of motivation, motivational systems, motivational process and elements as well as specific pedagogy employee motivation, interpersonal relationships in the workplace and evaluation and appreciation of teachers. The practical part of the thesis, based on interviews and questionnaires, concentrates on motivation instruments in chosen institutions and their practical usage. Finally the thesis compares the results of a public and private high school. The aim of this thesis is to analyse motivational instruments used in chosen educational institutions, analyse their efficiency, compare and reveal the departure in the usage of motivation in a public and private high school. The major research findings are that the pedagogues think their profession is a mission and they are influenced by their intrinsic motivation. The teachers rate the workplace and communication with the principal positively. They see a big problem in insufficient financial evaluation and a few possibilities of professional growth.
Factors affecting job performance in the selected company

This thesis deals with the factors that affect the job performance of the selected organization. In particular, the issues of motivation to work. The aim is to analyze the current level of motivation processes in Zepter International s.r.o., detect problem areas and propose possible solutions, which should help to improve the situation. The first part consists of a literature review, which describes the main tasks and objectives of human resources management. There is also specified term of job performance and the factors that affect the performance are described in detail. Finally this part describes the problems of motivation, motivation theories and motivation to work. The second part is based on the practical application of theoretical knowledge in the form of preparation and processing of the survey. Furthermore, all results of a questionnaire and analyzed on the basis of the identified problem areas in the process of motivating personnel department Warehouse and Service Center. In conclusion, there are recommended guidelines to improve problem areas, whose introduction is designed to positively influence the motivation of employees.
Factors affecting work performance in the organization

This dissertation deals with motivation and the factors affecting work performance of employees in the selected company. The aim of dissertation is find out which factors affecting work performance are used in the company Forte Beroun, spol. s. r. o. Further identify problem´s areas and suggest improvements. The theoretical part is based on literature reviews focusing on work performance, motivation and factors affecting work performance. The first part of practical work is made up of basic and organizational characteristics of the company and describing existing motivational and hygienic factors. The second part of practical work includes evaluation of an anonymous questionnaire survey on selected factors affecting work performance of employees. The survey results are suplement by controlled and non - standardized interviews. Based on the survey results are set critical areas and suggestions for their improvements.

The thesis "The modern approach to motivation of employees and the metohods it could be influence" analyses current motivation program in an actual company and offers suggestions for improvement. The thesis is divided into two sections. The first part is theoretical and explains basic terms related to motivation, stimulation and satisfaction, as well as connection between motivation and performance. Further, it deals with the most significant motivation theories. The second part characterizes the actual enterprise and analyses the motivation system. On the basic of empirical research used questionnaire investigation draw conclusions and propose some measures, the could contribute to improving the business motivation program. The conclusion describes suggestions to improve the motivation system as well as related costs.
The Motivating of Employees in Company

The aim of the thesis is to investigate the current state of the system of the motivating employees in FOX company. The theoretical part deals with importance of the motivating employees for the success of the company. The forms of motivating are categorized here (for example internal and external motivating). The part also describes the theories of motivating like the Theory of the instrumentality, the content focused theories, the theories based on process and McGregors theory of X and Y. The relation between motivation, satisfaction and employees performance is clarified in this part. The thesis identifies the motivation factors related to the employees performance and describes the motivating strategies. In the practical part the parameters and structure of the examined company are defined. There are described the current motivating strategies of the company. In this part the analysis that was used to examine the companys motivating strategy takes place. The results of the analysis are evaluated in the last chapter. The pros and cons of the companys motivating strategy are described in detail and the improvements are proposed.
Sensation of Jeopardy as a Possible Source of Work Motivation

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine whether the sensation of jeopardy may be a source of motivation to work, or, conversely, it plays a significant role in motivating staff. The survey has dealt with motivational factors (including sensation of jeopardy) and divided them according to Herzbergs motivation theory on motivators and higyene factors where the degree of motivation and degree of satisfaction at the workplace are determined. The operational objective is to determine the impact of a sensation of jeopardy on the overall work atmosphere, which is connected to the relations with superiors and relations with workers at the same level. Subsequently, the working atmosphere examined the presence of sensations of jeopardy, which may cause rivalry or, conversely, mutual support. Required data were obtained by a questionnaire. In conclusion, my thesis summarizes the key findings and recommendations for the organization, which was the objected of the the survey.
