Principals of small schools with composite classes

The thesis is about principals of small schools with composite classes. The aim is to explore activity areas of principals of small schools in Ústecký region. Questionnaire survey was used to explore the principal activities and their specifics. The results showed that the principals mostly deal with areas related to administrative, pedagogical process, communication and economic agenda. Administrative activities are rated by principals as their least favourite activity. The pedagogical process and focus on pupils is the highest priority for the principals however they would like to have more time for this activity. The work of small schools' principals can be specified by family environment of the school and close contact with teachers, pupils and parents. And more, there are specific conditions for pedagogical activity in the classes, principals are usually overloaded and they need to be versatile.
Implementation of the CLIL Method into Mathematics Lessons in Mixed Age Classes.

The thesis is focused on the implementation of method of content and language integrated learning in mathematics in the small school where several grades are taught in one class. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with issues related to teaching of vocational subject in the foreign language. I define CLIL and show the opening implementation of teaching of this method in schools in the Czech Republic. Then, I concern the advantages and disadvantages of this method, the suitability of different subjects and to implement different variants of CLIL, which I can use while teaching at different stages of education in the Czech school system. The main aim of the practical part is to create educational materials and individual plans of lessons for teaching a curriculum of mathematics in English at the first stage of the primary school for grades 4 and 5, implementation of this method to teaching in selected small school and confirmation or refutation the statements of the authors of publications that, if implemented CLIL teaching at schools, it brings indisputable advantages for the whole educational process.
Shaping a Child in Art Classes in a Small-Classes School

This thesis, in theoretical part, is focused on art education as part of the esthetic education. Than there are presented problems of Small-Class Schools in relation to art class on primary school and the artwork accompanying the development of the child as a character. In the practical part, there are presented the results of the research, which was carried out on the selected case study Small-Class School. In the final part, thesis summarizes the knowledge on the possibilities and peculiarities of art education as part of the education of the pupils at the primary school in the context of the specific condition of the Small-Class School. Potential of Small School

The dissertation Potential of Small Scholl deals with specific features of this kind of schools. The paper presents the role of small schools in the school system, mutual interaction at schools, distinctive forms of organization and methodical approaches aiming at defining particularities of this kind of school. We have drawn a comparison of a small school and an ordinary primary school based on two case studies. Differences which have been found out can define potential of both types of schools. The results of the research have brought us recognition that the potential of a small school is conditioned by its size and low numbers of pupils in classrooms. These conditions enable creating such learning environment that provides a pupil with specific performance of school attendance. Other significant aspects are mutual cooperation among pupils themselves as well as among teachers and parents within a small social group or implementation of schooling in mixed age groups which leads particularly to respect and acceptance of otherness and of pupils with specific educational needs. Colaboration between school and family in primary school

COOPERATION OF FAMILY AND SMALL SCHOOL WITH COMPOSITE CLASSES The thesis deals with the cooperation of family and small school with composite classes. The theoretical section deals with the typology and changes in family, family and school partnership, ideal setting of cooperation between family and school. It examines programmes of schools with area of cooperation being developed (Step by step and Parents are welcome). It looks for starting points that might be used at home school. The research section deals with a description of a small school with composite classes, where the graduant teaches. It also examines specificities of this school, the typology of students' families and at the same time it's also mapping the cooperation between school and family according to the programme Parents are welcome. It's trying to find the strategies for improving the cooperation with family. This is followed by the assessment from the viewpoints of author, parents, colleagues and a conclusions.
Multileveled schooľs teacher specific qualities and professional preparation

The thesis titled Multileveled school's teachers specific qualities and professional preparation focuses on finding specific qualities of multileveled schools, qualities of their teachers in the area of professional competence and quality of institutions for training future teachers. The theoretical background is applied to the research section. Depth group interview, observation and analysis of written sources reveals the essence of teachers' work at multileveled school with all its specifics. Summarize the results and try to find the relations between the observed and the specifics of their qualities. Can not say unequivocally that the multileveled schools'specifics and specific teachers skills are quality guarantee. The teacher always depends his knowledge, skills, values, attitudes and personality traits and the initial training and continuing professional development, as consider the quality of their work and how to proceed further development. Even though specific teacher's job may be a part of a potential professional qualities that teachers want to develop.
Rituals in the school environment

Rituals in the school environment, specifically in small schools with composite classes, are the subject of the diploma thesis. The theoretical part describes the environment of the small schools with composite classes in the Czech Republic and the specifics of teaching work in them. They are also discussed the rituals in general terms and the relationship to the hidden curriculum in this part. Specific rituals in contemporary small schools are described in following sections. The research part is conceived as a qualitative analysis of structured interviews with teachers and directors of small schools. The diploma thesis ends with a synthesis of empirical and theoretical part and with interpretation the results. The overlap of topics related to the problem that is mentioned in the conclusion.

Anotation This work deals with the existence of little class schools. I clarify to the readers the history of little class schools, define the concept of little class schools, describe teaching at this school and focus on teachers and students in this type of a school. The theoretical part describes the school as an entity that creates very good conditions for the formation of leisure activities. Furthermore, the practical part describes the little class school in the village Sokoleč, where I work as an aducator at the school care center. History and perspective of multilevelled school specified on Jicin region

The target of this diploma thesis has been to process the development of Multileveled School in Jičíněves (district of Jičín) and to demonstrate benefit of the acquired knowledge for school work. The theoretic part devotes to the study of Jičíněves school commemorative books and in a wider view also whole Jičín region. Insight into the development, present position and perspective of the elementary education in the Czech lands with the focus on multileveled schools goes before these chapters. Historic methods and document content analysis has been used for this work. The practice part describes the project realized with pupils of primary school age. Its target has been to acquaint the pupils with history of the school in Jičíněves through activated methods and to impress on their attitude to the school and the place they live. Survey of present situation and perspective of multileveled schools in Jičín region including the school in Jičíněves has been done through the questionnaires and interviews. Vitality of the multileveled schools has been evaluated by analysis of the result.
