Economic analysis of Beroun - Plzeň railway line
Koníček, Ondřej ; Pova, Patrik (advisor) ; Richter, Jaroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the importance of the railway line Beroun -- Plzeň for basic transport services in surrounding municipalities of Beroun, Rokycany and Plzeň-City Districts. It aims to prove, by relevant economic, time and capacity indicators, the importance of this key transport line for residents of catchment centers and for their commuting in major centers. The sources of knowledge in the theoretical part are followed by their specific application in the practical. Character of region and railway track is described in detail in this thesis. There are described all the settlements on this track including its administrative structure, population and most important direction of commuting. Highlighted are the four main centers of the region along the track -- Beroun, Hořovice, Rokycany and Pilsen. Analyzed are the costs of commuting from selected communities in these centers in the form of rail or bus fares or in the form of the cost of private car transport. These costs are examined for single-commuting and regular commuting (monthly). The density of traffic on the track is described by intervals of trains and their timetable during the day and within days a week. Distinguished are the passenger trains and express trains. Besides to price costs of travel is also analyzed the time of transport modes. Attention is also paid to the integrated transport systems in the region - namely, Integrated Transport of the Central Bohemian Region and Pilsen integrated transport. Analyzed data are found out from tariff terms of individual carriers (price condition), of cartographic material (distance) from the databases of the Czech Statistical Office (population) and internet resources devoted to the issue of passenger rail transport (Train and capacity).

Možnosti využití metody PPP v ČR
Jílek, Petr ; Jetmar, Marek (advisor) ; Peková, Jitka (referee)
Government of Czech republic approved in May this year concession project in two pilot PPP projects, which opens up new possibilities of implementation and the provision of costly public goods in the Czech Republic. In his thesis, I will refer to the use of methods of public-private partnerships in the implementation of individual projects in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical description for the situation it is appropriate to this method (including the exact type) to use as a stage where it is better to use the method of procurement. Furthermore, I will give a legislative framework of PPP projects in EU countries and selected non-member countries. The practical part is focus on specific PPP projects that are in the Czech Republic are beginning to realize and I assess their risks, advantages and disadvantages in comparison with the already carried out projects in abroad and it is not convenient to deal with such projects through public-private partnerships. The aim of this thesis is to clarify the existing conditions of the possible impact on use of the PPP

Wachtlová, Lucie ; Dostál, Petr (referee) ; Skýbová, Jana (advisor)
Naučná stezka "Údolím Labe", spojující města Čelákovice a Lysou nad Labem ve středním Polabí, nabízí spoustu možností a způsobů, jak ji efektivně zařadit a využít ve výuce botaniky a environmentální výchovy, což je hlavním úkolem diplomové práce. Teoretická část zahrnuje charakteristiku přírodních podmínek území naučné stezky a jejího okolí, význam, funkci a zařazení přírodovědné vycházky v Rámcových vzdělávacích programech základního vzdělávání.

Marketing study of tourist destination - Region Spiš
Ličáková, Lenka ; Valentová, Jana (advisor) ; Kornaj, František (referee)
Spiš region is one of the most interesting regions in Slovakia. It has many natural and cultural monuments, sports and recreational facilities and other tourist attractions. This natural and cultural heritage is of transnational importance. Moreover, the unique combination of diverse attractions, which are concentrated in a small area, is the main source of competitive advantage. The thesis is focused on the analysis of conditions for development of tourism and analysis of marketing activities of the region. First, we assessed the primary and secondary offer of the destination. Although it is relatively wide, the problem is its concentration in the larger tourist centers and cities, often poor quality of services or inadequate price for offered quality. On the field of marketing activities, two main ideas for support of the development of tourism are proposed. Firstly, it is a clear definition (geographically) of the region as a destination. Secondly, an existance of a tourist organization that would promote cooperation between individual entities and public sector and create a single marketing strategy for the region Spiš is proposed. Spis region has a great potential for tourism, but needs to use and develop constantly.

Influence of understory light on diversity and composition of forest vegetation in the České Středohoří Mts.
Macek, Martin ; Kopecký, Martin (advisor) ; Černý, Tomáš (referee)
Light is essential component of forest ecosystem, as limited light availability in forest-floor restricts herb and tree seedlings growth. Importance of light availability for maintaining plant species diversity and community structure wasn't sufficiently evaluated in the Czech Republic. This study focus on the ecological relevance of light availability on both landscape and local scale. Relationship of light to cover, diversity and species composition was quantified in the thesis. Dominant tree species affected light availability and its spatial variability. Light availability was along the soil reaction and slope most influential factor for large-scale species diversity. Within-site light variability affected plant diversity more than soil reaction variability. Measuring light by means of hemispherical photography seems to be an appropriate for studies like this. Light availability influnence on community compostition is weak in comparison with other environmental gradients.

Spatial development of soil sealing in Prague suburban fringe from 19th century till present.
Stachura, Jan ; Šefrna, Luděk (advisor) ; Chuman, Tomáš (referee)
Built up areas are dynymically evolving component of suburban landscape. Prague periphery is the area, where this evolution is fastest. This can be a problem because the very fertile soils are located in Prague fringe. Their loss is therefore connected with the law protection of agricultural soils. A set of 22 cadasters around the Prague made the area of interest of this master thesis. They were defined to cover the variability of geological substrate, climate, relief and soils and also some socioeconomic parametres (distance form highway and from Prague centre). I used a several data about built up areas to explain the trends in set: Stable cadaster, Third military mapping, aerial photos from 1950s and present orthophoto. The development of built up areas in the final set was assesed by a several parametres which contain the total area, structure, fertility of sealed land and diversity of soils. Problem of determining soil diversity was one of the goals of master thesis. Taxonomical dendrogram of soils with including taxonomical differences is the output of this part. Main trend of development were assesed by using multidimensional statistic method: classical scaling and hierarchical clustering. Results confirmed that more fertile soil are built up nowadays than in the past and also diversity of...

Polyphase structural evolution of superstructure and infrastructure in orogenic zones
Peřestý, Vít ; Lexa, Ondrej (advisor) ; Pitra, Pavel (referee)
Polyphase structural evolution of superstructure and infrastructure in orogenic zones Proterozoic basement rocks of the Teplá-Barrandian Unit (TBU) are affected by two main tectono-metamorphic events. The central and SW part of the TBU is a well-preserved relict of Cadomian episode. On the other hand, the western margin of the TBU shows superposition of polyphase early-varicsan deformation and metamorphism onto the pre- variscan fabric. The Střela river profile in the northern part of Teplá Crystalline Complex (TCC) exposes a continuous crustal section through western margin of the TBU from the low-grade phyllites (near biotite izograd) in the east to the high-grade rocks of kyanite zone at the contact with high-pressure Mariánské-Lázně Complex (MLC). Three main deformation events were distinguished in the studied area and the cross-section is interpreted as a fossil (devonian) suprastructure-infrastructure transition zone preserved in the carboniferous TBU superstructure. The oldest pre-variscan D1 phase produced flat-lying metamorphic foliation showing normal metamorphic zonation from the very low-grade in the upper part to at least garnet zone in the structurally lower part. Large scale upright folding of prevariscan foliation S1 occurred during early-variscan D2 event. Tight F2 folds were...

Comparative Analysis of Tourism in Thailand and Lao PDR
Tichá, Alena ; Valentová, Jana (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
This thesis deals with an analysis and comparison of tourism within Thailand and Lao PDR. The paper discusses global tourism trends with a special interest dedicated to southeast Asia. Based on studies of history, geography and government programmes of each individual country, conditions for conducting tourism activities were defined. History of tourism as well as develompent of individual destinations were concerned, too. The conclusion summarising present and future possibilities of travel industry in Thailand and Lao PDR also involves information about knowledge and personal approach of Czech public to both countries. The data were collected through an exploratory questionnaire. The next part offers a list of destinations provided by Czech and German travel agencies. Based on the list, an overview of available destinations provided by major Czech and German official mediators was created. One of the chapters also deals with legal conditions governing the rights for setting up a travel agency by non-residents.
