Genetically modified organisms and the legal regulation of their disposal

This thesis aims to give a complex insight into the framework and problem questions arising in connection with legal regulation of genetically modified organisms (hereinafter referred as "GMOs"). As the use of GMOs is spreading it brings along many discussions regarding their positive and potential negative impacts on human health and the environment. After the introduction into the GMOs from the practical and technical point of view, the analysis of the underlying principle, the precautionary principle, follows. Different approaches to the risks connected with GMOs formed different views on construction and application of the precautionary principle and caused its uncertainty as to its position in international law. Significant part of the international law relating to the GMOs consists of soft law documents. The willingness of states to be bound by binding rules in this area is still lacking. The only exception is the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety focusing on the transboundary movement of GMOs. The Law of European Communities comprises of Regulations, Directives, and Recommendations. The law distinguishes following types of use: contained use, deliberate release of GMOs into the environment for any other purpose than for placing on the market, release of GMOs on the market and transboundary movement....

Support of decision making process in entreprenurship

This bachelor thesis is about the decision making process in entrepreneurship. Step by step it defines the word as managerial decision making, and knowledge management. These two disciplines is in Business Intelligence, which gives the data into undestandable form. One of the system that uses Business Intelligence is also customer realtionship management. It is a system, which helps to organise the realtionships with customers, collects data and gives very valuable source of information, according to which the company can make the decision about its next steps in business. The second part is about usage of CRM in AIESEC organisation, which uses CRM on everydaybase. The aim of the thesis is to suppose the solution for this CRM so it can be used in the wider role, to support the decision making in AIESEC, and make it more efficient, quick and smooth. There are two suggested options in the thesis. From these chose one, which is according to the criteria more suitable for AIESEC.

Sociological aspects of divorce and its predictors

Rozvod představuje legitimní způsob ukončení manželství za života obou manželů. Které faktory se však podílejí na rozhodování o ukončení manželství? Odpověď na tuto otázku lze hledat v individuálních osobnostních vlastnostech manželů, jejich sociodemografických charakteristikách nebo ve společensko - strukturních faktorech. Tato práce se nezabývá prediktory rozvodu na celospolečenské úrovni ani individuálními charakteristikami rozvádějících se manželů. Zaměřuje se na zkoumání objektivně poznatelných a tedy měřitelných prediktorů rozvodu, které jsou spojeny s individuální životní dráhou jedince, se sociodemografickými charakteristikami a s postoji k rodině a rolím muže a ženy v ní. V této práci je nejprve pojednáno o teoretických i empirických výsledcích zahraničních studií provedených na téma prediktorů rozvodu. O čtyřech z prediktorů je pojednáno podrobně. Jsou jimi: věk při vstupu do manželství, předmanželské soužití, pracovní participace žen a ekonomické faktory. Platnost výsledků zahraničních studií je dále testována na datech pro Českou republiku. Kapitola 6 je originálním příspěvkem k tematice prediktorů rozvodu.

Tchaj-ti cchüan and its use in work with seniors

The topic of this paper is a traditional Chinese health and exercise system called Tchaj-ťi čchüan. In the first chapter I introduce the system's philosophical roots, Taoism, and its connection with social work, and, due to fundamental differences between eastern and western modes of thoughts, I seek to give context, and make understandable the thoughts of and origins of tchaj-ťi. Next I describe what tchaj-ťi means, and a bit about its history. Because Tchaj-ťi has many different schools, it is important to describe each main style, as they all comprise the totality. The following chapter is a description of various styles of Tchaj-ťi art. The fourth chapter is a human connection of its physical and spiritual dimension. Physical dimension is important as spiritual and Tchaj-ťi connects both of them so that person can develop both of them equally. The next part is a discussion of the practical usage of tchaj-ťi, in particular with seniors. The chapter following is about Taoist tchaj-ťi, and is instrumental in giving some examples of this art playing a role in social work. Czech - Chinese animal phraseology

Čeština a čínština jsou jazyky odlišné nejenom z hlediska typologického, ale i z hlediska genealogického. Frazeologie a idiomatika (IF) je mnohostranná jazyková disciplína zabývající se studiem jazykových jednotek různého typu a více úrovní. Srovnání IF v obou odlišných jazycích by mohlo ukázat jazykové univerzálie a specifičnosti na více úrovních. Cílem této diplomové práce je na pozadí komplexního popisu frazémů a idiomů v dané animální oblasti zjistit charakteristické shody a rozdíly obou srovnávaných jazyků. Vzhledem k tomu, že čeština, přesněji české frazémy a idiomy, je hlavním východiskem našeho zkoumání, při srovnání vycházíme z českých kritérií (forma-funkce-sémantika) dané oblasti, ale zároveň se snažíme nepřehlédnout specifika čínských aspektů. Budeme zaměřovat pozornost na otázky, kterými se dřívější práce zabývat nemohly nebo na problematiky, které nebyly zdůrazněny. Důležitými prostředky budou Český národní korpus a dostupné čínské korpusy.

Journeys of Konstantin Jireček and Felix Kanitz around Bulgaria

V této práci se budu věnovat analýze cestování, poznávání a následné transformaci viděného do ,,obrazu" Bulharského knížectví a Východní Rumélie1 v 19. století skrze 2 cestopisy, jež patří k zásadním dílům týkajícím se poznávání Balkánu a zejména obrazům, které oba o daných oblastech vytvářejí. Na straně jedné to jsou "Cesty po Bulharsku" českého profesora dějepisu Konstantina Jirečka, klíčové osobnosti středoevropské slavistiky a balkanistiky konce 19. století a jeho nejvýznamnějšího předchůdce Felixe Kanitze, jehož ,, Donau-Bulgarien und der Balkan: Historisch-geographisch-etnograpische Reisestudien aus Jahren 1860-1875" patřila ve své době k stěžejním pracím týkajícím se Balkánského poloostrova.2 Pro mou práci bude nejvýznamnější druhý svazek tohoto celkem trojsvazkového díla, protože právě on je nejvíce věnován cestování. V první kapitole stručně představím Konstantina Jirečka a popíši jeho životní dráhu, která jej zavedla z vídeňského Tereziana3 přes Prahu až do služeb Bulharského knížectví. Obdobně představím i budapešťského rodáka Felixe Filipa Kanitze. V druhé kapitole se budu zabývat cestováním obou těchto středoevropských vědců po území Bulharského knížectví jako takovým, přičemž mým cílem bude rozebrat způsoby a možnosti cestovaní po dané oblasti a poté zejména analyzovat a následně komparovat...

1 Abstract This Master's thesis entitled Legislation on treating animals in human care compares Czech and Australian legislation in selected aspects of three categories of animals in human care - farm animals, companion animals and animals used for scientific and other research purposes. The thesis is composed of 5 main chapters. The first chapter describes sources of law regarding treating animals in human care from the perspectives of international law, European Union law, federal Czech law and Australian law. The second chapter explains basic terms - an animal and its legal status and animal in human care in Czech and Australian legislation. The third chapter focuses specifically on farm animals as a category of animals in human care as it is detailed in Czech and Australian legislation. The fourth chapter deals with companion animals in both countries' legislation. Finally, the fifth chapter describes the legal protection of animals used for scientific and other research purposes in Czech and Australian legislation. . Analysis of the pension systems of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic and their comparison in the years 1993-2015

The aim of this thesis is the analysis of pension systems in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The result of this analysis is the evaluation and comparison of these systems and their functionality for the needs of present and future generations of retired people. In 2016, the second pillar of the pension system in the Czech Republic was cancelled. This pillar was established in 2013. Its creation and existence was deemed unsuccessful. In contrast with the Slovak system where the second pillar operates eleven years and has a large number of participants. Theories of causes of failure of the second pillar in the Czech Republic in the last year came up a lot. The importance of initial conditions of the other pillars in the pension system before the reform was crucial for the success of the new, now canceled that second pillar. The theoretical part of thesis studies social policy, its divisions and implementation. Subsequently there are descriptions of general models of pension systems, their financing methods and possibilities of implementation. The practical part analyzes the historical development and current form of pension systems in the Czech and Slovak Republics. It also describes ways of contribution, profiles of participants, payment options and risks of individual pillars. At the end of the practical part is the comparison of both systems, with projections of possible developments in the future.
