This diploma thesis is focused on practical use of know how acquired by studying Business Valuationon at VSE Praha. The thesis is based on procedures adopted mainly from book of prof. Mařík. The purpose of work was to valuate core business of the company Ferona a.s. as the sum of values of individual campanies of the group by DCF method and market comparison approach.

The implementation flat tax in Czech Republic

The work is dedicated to analyse concept of the implementation flat tax in the Czech Republic. Theoretical part is based on the Tax theory, there are also described basic characteristics of tax systems, their functions and generally accepted fundamentals, which should proper tax system fulfil. Further theoretical part discuss tax theories development and their impact on practical questions about taxation during human history. The last part of the theoretical part is aimed straight at the flat tax. Characterize original concept of the flat tax and brings wider economic society opinions, which are completed by practical experience from the countries, where have been flat tax already implemented. Finally there are some alternatives to the flat tax mentioned, which were in case of the Czech Republic proposed. In practical part there are two tax systems compared, mainly focused on individual groups of tax payers, which differ in gross income and number of family members. I set up six groups of gross income in the way that best fits in the Czech circumstances. Aim is to compare tax burden for individual income groups in both tax systems. Analysis of the impact of the implementation flat tax for the specific income groups of inhabitants together with possible macroeconomic impact on the whole economy shows, whether the flat tax system in the Czech Republic is contibution or not.

Effect of sloped green roof on to rainwater retention

This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of the retention effect on the pitch green roof from the selection of different roof sets. Measurements of retention proparties were performed on four semi-scale testing elements. Monitored period was evaluated during initial growing cycle on extensive, biodiverse and icelandic green roof in comparison with roofing tile surface. The theoretical part describes effective water retention management, historical and present development in the Czech Republic and closed European countries of green roofs.

The Issue of the Concept of Criminal Custody

- The Issue of the Concept of Criminal Custody This diploma thesis deals with the instrument of criminal custody as a security instrument. This instrument is considered as quite controversial in view of the fact that it's usage means the conflict between the interest of the investigating authority to accomplish the purpose of prosecution and person's right to personal freedom guaranteed by the Charter of fundamental rights and freedoms while the accused has to be treated as innocent according to the principle of presumption of innocence. The goal of this diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current legislation of the instrument of custody and also of the problems connected with custody. The thesis is divided into seven chapters including the introduction and the ending chapter. The second chapter deals with the development of the custody legislation in history and major part of the chapter is focused on the Act's of criminal procedure from years 1873, 1950 and 1961. The third and the fourth chapter pay attention to the current legislation which is included in the Act of criminal procedure no. 141/1961 Coll. Private distrainor in terms of Czech law

This thesis deals with the institute of private distrainor in terms of its position in the Czech legal order. It outlines the history of enforcement process and discusses the powers of the private distrainors in accordance with the relevant laws. The theoretical part describes the functioning of various mechanisms in the enforcement proceedings, with an emphasis on the most common types of acts. In the analytical part it focuses on the changes made in 2015 and further analyzes prepared or discussed changes in enforcement proceedings. Specific problems closely connected with the institute of private bailiff are described and at the same time there are suggested possible solutions to these problems.

Economic aspects of health in modern society

Předmětem zkoumání jsou specifika zdravotní péče jako ekonomické kategorie, zdraví a jeho determinanty, význam a postavení zdravotnictví v moderní společnosti, ekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky tří odlišných zdravotnických systémů (Německo, Spojené státy americké, Velká Británie) a zejména vývoj a perspektivy českého zdravotnictví. Cílem práce je analyzovat ekonomické aspekty zdravotnictví v moderní společnosti v kontextu historie a současnosti zdravotnických systémů a zhodnotit relevantní implikace pro české zdravotnictví. Práce vychází z vlastností zdravotní péče jako ekonomického statku, konceptu investic do zdraví a významu zdraví pro lidský kapitál. Diskutuje rizika a příležitosti rostoucí potřeby a spotřeby zdravotní péče vyplývající z ekonomického rozvoje, stavu determinantů zdraví a změn v chování lidí, které sebou přináší rychlý vývoj současného světa. Přibližuje měnící se roli státu ve zdravotnictví a zkoumá otázky obecné dostupnosti zdravotní péče v moderní společnosti. Zabývá se vymezením vazeb ekonomických aspektů zdravotnictví ve vztahu k souvisejícím medicínským, etickým, sociálním a institucionálním aspektům, jež zpětně determinují prostředí a podmínky pro racionální rozhodování a jednání aktérů zdravotnického systému. Identifikuje a srovnává významné ekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky zdravotnických systémů v rámci zvolené typologie, včetně zhodnocení problematiky jejich konvergence. Ukazuje logiku jejich vnitřního fungování a příčiny jejich typických problémů (čekací seznamy, deficity, nerealizovaná péče). Zjištěné poznatky jsou využity v diskusi o perspektivách českého zdravotnictví a vyúsťují v analýzu možností využití ekonomických nástrojů se zaměřením na implementaci spoluúčasti pacientů a na další rozvoj pluralitního prostředí zdravotních pojišťoven (variabilní sazba zdravotního pojištění a stropy pro spoluúčast).

Basic and the most important terms closely connected with marketing strategy on the Internet are descibed in this diploma thesis. The practical part contains processed SWOT, market, competition and customer analysis. Online marketing strategy which should increase awareness of the brand of a particular company, test each form of promotion and in case of success to gain new orders is created on the basis of the evaluation of the environment and prospects of the company. A practical goal is removing weaknesses of the company found by means of SWOT analysis. At the same time the theme of this thesis can meet a practical usage fot the readers who search up-to-date knowledge for marketing of their companies in the same or similar business branch.

Social and legal status of persons with health disabilities

The very thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis at the very beginning focused on the social history of people with certain disabilities. Continues thesis definition and characteristics of disability and its exact breakdown. The next chapter deals with the analysis of contemporary society in the area of discrimination against persons with disabilities and points to the possibility of employment in the labor market just people with disabilities. A relatively large part of the thesis is devoted to the concept of disability, then the conditions for entitlement to a disability pension and social benefits, especially for people with disabilities. The next part refers to various non-profit organizations Conclusion itself thesis is devoted to legislation related to social assistance to disabled persons. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey forms and personal interviews. The text part is supported by graphs, tables and streamline the survey results further illustrative photographs of people with disabilities.

Relational database system tunning

Záměrem této práce je uvést čtenáře do problematiky ladění a optimalizace výkonu relačních databázových systémů. Zájemci se dostane jak souhrnných teoretických informací nutných k pochopení této problematiky, tak ukázky postupů a ladících aktivit použitelných v praxi. První dvě kapitoly se zaměřují a teoreticky rozebírají některé faktory, jenž mohou ovlivňovat výkonnost databázových systémů. Důraz je kladen zejména na ty faktory, které mají obvykle na výkonnost databáze největší vliv. V dalších dvou kapitolách jsou následně popisovány, demonstrovány a zhodnoceny existující a běžně dostupné ladící postupy a návody. Jde zejména o materiály poskytované významnými výrobci databázových systémů. Vyústěním všech těchto částí je stanovení metodiky pro ladění relačních databázových systémů, jakožto hlavního cíle diplomové práce. Ta vychází jak z teoretických a praktických zkušeností, které autor získal během psaní této práce, tak z několikaleté praxe v oboru. Metodika je zaznamenána formou znalostních objektů, což jí činí dále rozšiřitelnou a rovněž i snadno pochopitelnou pro okruh jejích možných uživatelů.
