Teaching politeness at 2nd grade of elementary school

This diploma thesis deals with the way to teach politeness in elementary schools. Based on the theoretical literature, in the first theoretical part on the background of the Czech language there are defined basic terms such as pragmalinguistics, politeness principle, politeness strategies, face etc. Considering the didactic character of this work, both verbal and nonverbal aspects of politeness are described in the relation to the teacher-student communication. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of how the aspects of politeness are taught in Czech language lessons and included in three contemporary textbook series. Other source studied is the analysis of the relevant survey among teachers. On the basis of the survey results there are made up some activities with presumably good influence on practicing examined aspects of politeness.
Human alienation from nature

My thesis deals with the problem of human alienation from nature. Thesis says about lists of lifestyle changes a person from the 19th century and the negative impacts of alienation. It also focuses on the child and the nature around him. It suggests possible compensation - sport in nature, green therapy, civic associations, eco-centers and framework educational programme for elementary education. A self-made research determines what types of environments the pupils in the fifth grade of elementary schools in Brandys nad Labem - Stara Boleslav use and spend their leisure time there. Whether the town Brandys nad Labem - Stara Boleslav offers to students natural space witch students may use for their relaxation and doing sports. The thesis is studying whom pupils spend their leisure time outside with and who is their partner or guide. Practical use of Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary School

The theme of this diploma thesis is Practical use of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for Education of Lower Grades of Primary Schools. The main purpose is to chart current status of a theme of botanical garden in curricular documents, namely The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and School Educational Programmes of chosen elementary schools located in Prague 2. Further, the presence of this theme is explored in the sample of schoolbooks for the 4th and the 5th grades of elementary schools. There is a questionnaire survey realized among teachers of the 4th and the 5th grades in the schools listed above. The aim is to find out, how much the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague is used for practical education. The results are shown in charts and graphs. The readiness of this botanical garden for practical education of lower grades pupils is found out by an interview with its vice-director. The next part of thesis contains planning and realizing a lesson with the 5th grade pupils. The lesson demonstrates a possibility of more frequent practical education in the botanical garden. Title: The comparison of the conditions for teaching Educational area of Man and Health in primary and secondary schools Objectives: Research whether schools have such conditions for teaching Educational area of Man and Health in order to achieve the objectives of framework educational programs. Research basic information about the structure of PE teachers in primary and secondary schools and on the structure of PE teachers in Prague and Pilsen region. Research the different conditions of teaching Educational area of Man and Health in primary and secondary schools in Prague and Pilsen Region. Propose appropriate solutions to improve the situation. Methods: We used for comparison of results of non-standardized questionnaire containing mainly closed types of questions. The questionnaire survey was for PE teachers in elementary and secondary schools. The surveyed regions were Pilsen Region and Prague. Results: We found that overall conditions in schools meet the standards of basic curricula. Overall conditions prevent attainment of the objectives and tasks set out in the basic curricula. Conditions for physical education are demonstrably better at primary schools than at secondary schools. Higher educated teachers are located at secondary schools and in Prague Region. Problem solving method in mathematics teaching

This master's thesis deals with unusual applications tasks and problem tasks in teaching mathematics at the upper primary school as well as with their solving strategies. The whole work is build around an analysis of pupils' solutions of selected problem tasks. It was found that solving the tasks caused considerable troubles to a significant part of the pupils. The final part of the thesis contains a collection of problem tasks along with their solutions that is focused on teaching heuristic problem solving strategies and based on the analysis results.
School gardens and their potencional for process of education

This diploma thesis deals with a utilization of school gardens for education at primary schools. It draws on historical development of school gardens and tries to emphasize an importance of their incorporation into an educational process, their positive impact on health and growth of pupils, and improvement of their skills and knowledge. Thesis also analyses relationships with Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Research itself deals with current state and utilization of school gardens by primary school teachers at Kolin district. It focuses on a school garden ownership, frequency of their usage, personal experience and needs of teachers for giving lectures in gardens. It also discusses areas of education for which the gardens are mostly used. Media literacy and children younger school age

Annotation: The diploma thesis occupies with the Media Education, its realization in families with preschool and primary school children and its link-up to the Media Education taught at primary school. It follows more aspects to find out how children are protected against the risks that media provides. The theoretical part solves the basis of the theme using the explanations of concepts regarding of media, its usage, positives and negatives and its way of learning the media literacy. The practical part comes out of parents' and pupils' utterances about the Media Education realized in families. The teaching of the Media Education at schools was found out by questioning of teachers at primary schools. The results of my thesis could point out the risks that media can pose and against which children are not sufficiently protected.
Combining moral, character and social education with multicultural education in a realization of a project focusing on Romany people

This thesis deals with the problems concerning cross-curricular subjects, in particular focusing on Multicultural Education and Moral, Character and Social Education, their defining in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Furthermore, it outlines the possibility of their interconnection in a concrete project with the topic of Romany. This thesis is based on the conviction of the importance of the transcultural approach to the Multicultural education in practise. It also deals with the character of a teacher mainly in the relation to the above mentioned cross-curricular subjects. The main objective of this thesis is the actual realisation of the project in two selected schools. The project has already been put forward in my bachelor thesis. I committed myself there to the realisation of the project in practise and for that purpose the project itself had to be adjusted, namely shortened due to its time demandingness. The actual evaluation of the project is also a part of the practical section of this thesis.

9/67 Abstract My thesis deals with human alienation from nature. The theoretical section aims to answer what is nature and relationship to nature. It also describes how the relationship developed between man and nature. Neglected to stay or work in human nature - recreation and gardening settlements. The thesis also focuses on the children and nature around them. Besides, my study is searching for links within school eco- center and framework of educational programme for elementary education. There occur attempts to look for the causes and consequences of running away from nature. Furthermore, the answer to delay human alienation from nature is being looked around.
