Qualitative study of beam finite elements
Martinásková, Magdalena ; Němec,, Ivan (referee) ; Nevařil, Aleš (advisor)
The issues were selected that have been expected to induce complications in modelling or calculations. These were solved in commercial softare RFEM, Scia, Axis and ANSYS using the FEM. The problems include geometric nonlinearities or address buckling or torsion. The basic theory and the software solutions are presented. For each task there are stated the parameters of calculation for individual programs, in more complex cases the way of assembling the model and solution steps are also described. The results obtained are compared to theoretical analytically obtained solution.

Company Marketing Strategy
Doležálková, Lenka ; Radvanová, Jana (referee) ; Schüller, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on marketing strategy of the company Šroubárny Kyjov s.r.o., which is manufacturer of mechanical fasteners produced by hot forging processes. The aim of this thesis is design a marketing strategy based on the theoretical knowledge and analysis of the current state. In the first part deals with theoretical knowledge of marketing, in the second analytical part I processed analysis of the current state of the company and the expectations of customers by using questionnaire. Based on the results gained in the last part, I propose individual solutions and improve the marketing strategy of the company, including frame and economic characteristics.

Numerical Methods Accuracy vs Precision of Arithmetic
Kluknavský, František ; Šátek, Václav (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
Thesis is dedicated to evaluation of roundoff impact on numerical integration methods accuracy and effectivity. Contains theoretical expectations taken from existing literature, implementation of chosen methods, experimental measurement of attained accuracy under different circumstances and their comparison with regard to time complexity. Library contains Runge-Kutta methods to order 7 and Adams-Bashforth methods to order 20 implemented using C++ templates which allow optional arbitrary-precision arithmetic. Small models with known analytic solution were used for experiments.

Remote Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)
Novotný, Jan ; Zemánek, Pavel (referee) ; Pína,, Ladislav (referee) ; Kaiser, Jozef (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deals with the development of the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) setup in the modification for the mobile remote material analysis (so called rLIBS). The experimental device is developed at the Institute of Physical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME), Brno University of Technology (BUT). Such a modification is possible due to the core principles of LIBS technique, i.e. using a laser for a sample excitation and plasma radiation for spectral analysis. The thesis is focused on the variation called Stand-Off LIBS with the target analyte in the distance of 6 meters. In this case the laser pulse and the plasma radiation are transmitted through the local environment (usually the air) and the direct device-to-sample visibility is expected. The motivation for this development is to avoid traditional processes of sample collection, preparation and transport that are time-consuming, expensive and sometimes even hard to realize. Stand-Off LIBS allows bringing all the LIBS technique benefits from the laboratory to the field, where fast, in-situ analysis can be carried out. The first part of the thesis focuses on the history and principles of the Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES), as it is the main principle of LIBS technique. The second part describes the history, theory, instrumentation and applications of LIBS as a modern analytical tool. This part also introduces the remote mobile modification – rLIBS, as well as the current state of knowledge and the state of the development in LIBS laboratories worldwide. The third part describes the individual stages of the rLIBS development at the Institute of Physical Engineering, FME BUT. This chapter details the focusing optics design, building of the collection optics, design and construction of the detection unit, motorized stage and mobile track. This section contains also the results of the test spectroscopy measurements and movement ability measurements.

Marketing strategy proposal
Jánský, Radek ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Chalupský, Vladimír (advisor)
The goal of this Diploma Thesis was the detection of the potential trends of manufactural and business activities in manufactural division AZ KLIMA, Ltd and to suggest the appropriate measures .The starting situation of this company is described in an extensive analytical part. The output is a summary of its strenghts and weakness aspects, opportunities and threats. The suggest of strategy is presented by an extended marketing mix. The emphasis is placed first of all on product sphere. There are mentioned technological and organisational impacts of commencement of production of bolting and welding ducts, spiral tubes and ending distribution elements. Afterwards there are suggested methods of economy in manufactural process, market targeting and personal impacts. At the end there are outlined the time-dependent implementation harmonogram of suggested strategy, feasibility control and evaluation of expected benefits.

Use of a System for Enviromental Management of Organizations and Audit in the Czech Republic
Dobřenská, Michaela ; Čeřenská, Lucie (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
The master thesis introduces the topic of sustainable development, environmental policy and its tools as a mean of mitigating negative impact of economic activity on environment. The thesis analyzes optional tools of environmental policy as well as Eco-Management and Audit Scheme EMAS. The analytic part studies the motives and expectations of Czech organizations before the registration in EMAS and their fulfilment after implementation. The situation in the Czech Republic and EU member states is being compared and the common trends and variety identified. The output of the thesis is a design of measures for increasing the interest in registration in EMAS.

The Proposal for Implementation of the BSC Method under the Conditions of the Company ČD
Matisová, Monika ; Doc.Dr.Ing.Roman Štěrba (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with the evaluation of performance in the company ČD, a.s. by using the Balanced Scorecard method. The theoretical part of thesis describes the Balanced Scorecard concept and the process for its implementation. The next part of thesis evaluates the current situation of the company by using selected analytical methods. Based on the results of analysis is created a proposal for implementation of the BSC method for the analysed company. The final part of thesis summarizes possible risks and expected benefits of this concept.

Marketing Research for the Sticky Password Product

Isolation and characterization of the soil gels
Kundera, Ondřej ; Pekař, Miloslav (referee) ; Sedláček, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this study are the gel-creative components in soil, mainly the isolation and characterization using electron microscopy and available analytical methods like FT-IR spectrometry, elementary and thermogravimetric analysis. The knowledge from this study may help to define function and significance of this gels to soils and nature. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with humic substances which are, according to published articles so far, expected to play an important role in the formation of the soil gels. The experimental part solves especially the optimization of the method of isolation soil gels and his further characterization.

Are Financial Market Anomalies Real? Evidence from Stock Markets in Five Countries
Ficik, Jozef ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Derner, Tomáš (referee)
The financial market anomaly can be characterized as the event when observed stock returns differentiate from those expected by concrete pricing model. Many anomalies have been detected so far, and some of them vanished, while other persisted, after they had been published by academics and researchers. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the potential presence of selected types of anomalies in the financial markets and to provide relevant empirical evidence. The theoretical section will supply the reader with the descriptions of several types of financial market anomalies and the results of past studies documenting the existence of these anomalies, with possible reasons justifying the presence of this phenomenon. The analytical section will focus on the few selected anomalies and test whether they are still present in the selected financial markets.
