How many kinds of work you can do, so many times you are a man, or else how to manage the economics after entering the position as a headmaster
Kryčová, Miroslava ; Marková, Jana (advisor) ; Všetečková, Helena (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to acquaint future headteachers with one of their coming responsibilities - to become, i.a. also an economist. I give an overview of basic economic activities that a headteacher, in cooperation with his/her employees, will have to perform and take over full responsibility. Through the use of questionnaire survey I tried to demonstrate that a headmaster not only teaches, but must also be a lawyer and economist. The results of the survey confirmed this presumption completely. The presented charts indicate that teaching activities load approximately one third of the working time of a headteacher. Another third of his work is represented by economic activities, and the last third is devoted to legal issues and human resource management. By means of a brief description to acquaint school management with all the economic activities which are to be met in the course of performing their work. The advantage is that few pages of this study cover the whole economic activity of the school. After reading this work, one can obtain a clear understanding of this activity. Every teacher who is applying for a position of a headteacher must be aware of this fact and consider carefully whether he/she really wants to bear this heavy burden.

Conflict and Cooperation in Transboundary Watersheds
Landovský, Jakub ; Hnízdo, Bořivoj (advisor) ; Štědroň, Bohumír (referee) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
The following thesis deals with the conflict and cooperation in transboundary watersheds resources. The burgeoning debate on the theme is revolving the quantitative evidence of prevailing cooperation over the conflict from the distant history to the present times. The statistical analysis of water events from the years 1949-2000 in the 263 transboundary watersheds convinced the scientific community, that states tend to cooperate over water more than dispute, but the explications for such outcomes were scarce and did not gain unequivocal peer acceptance. Focus in the field study of water conflict and cooperation shifted to water institutions studies, without abandoning methods of quantitative analysis. The author focuses on the structural spatial and temporal analysis of five watersheds on three continents. The case studies include: the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna watershed, the Danube River, the Aral Sea endorheic catchment area, the Mekong watershed and the Euphrates and Tigris watershed. Water institutions are understood as interconnected structures based on international treaties. With the global international water law regime being able to give only a general guidance and distinguish between legal and illegal acts of states, the main institutional capacity lies in the basin's specific...

China and Africa: the partnership rediscovered and the implications for the European Union
Kopecká, Petra ; Adamcová, Lenka (advisor) ; Knotková, Vladimíra (referee)
China is becoming an increasingly important actor in international political and economic relations. The pace of Chinese economic growth triggers a progressively growing demand for natural resources. After launching the "open-door" policy in the Chinese modern history (which attracted the important sources of capital inflows), the Chinese government introduced a "go-out" strategy for the Chinese companies to integrate them into the global structures. This strategy has its direct impacts on developing countries, where the Chinese presence is apparent the most. China is cooperating with all of the developing regions; however, sixty-year long cooperation with Africa is outstanding in many ways. In this continent China has to encounter other traditional actors -- European Union above all, as Africa constitutes a centrepiece in European development cooperation policy. The aim of this master thesis is to describe the shape and evolution of long-term Sino-African relations into today's "strategic partnership", which is being regarded as "rediscovered" in this thesis, and to conclude with the implications for the EU policy. To achieve this, the thesis is divided into three chapters. First chapter deals with the theoretical basis for the shape of Sino-African relations, in broad terms of Chinese foreign policy towards developing countries. The second chapter looks onto actual, mainly economic and developmental, impacts of the Chinese "go-out" strategy on Africa. The thesis indicates the approach of the European Union to the rediscovered partnership.

Kubalová, Kamila ; Hejda, Jan (advisor) ; Přibil, Jiří (referee)
The main objective of this work is to critically evaluate a sufficient portion of the circuit problem of software piracy and to propose solutions of sub-problems, to use the interpretation of all relevant laws and all other available resources and create a comprehensive picture of the case. The practical part should be primarily a manual for ordinary computer users, which should help them. At the same time I present a preview of the methods of the executive law enforcement authority - Police of the Czech Republic, which deals with the investigation of software piracy. Range of the methods used in my work is not wide, which is partly due to reluctance of companies to cooperate because it is a relatively sensitive information, but it fully covers the needs of work and make it possible to have a final vision of the subject.
