Classroom's climate in alternative and traditional school

The climate of the class in a conventional and in an alternative basic school is the main topic of this master thesis. The master thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is theoretical and the second one practical. It the theoretical part the main focus is dedicated to an explanation of the terms concerning the theme. The thesis deals with the methods of diagnostics in a class climate. The second part, the practical one, consists of the research held in the school classes of the conventional and alternative type. The research is considered to be a quantitative analysis and its research instrument is a questionnaire. The practical part is intended as a comparison between the climate in the both types of schools. The main goal of the master thesis is firstly to compare school climate in the alternative and conventional school. Secondly the master thesis should interpret the discovered information.
Adaptation event as a form of bullying prevention

The diploma thesis is based on the presentation of adaptation courses as a specific form of primary prevention of bullying in a school class. The thesis concerns with the adaptation courses methodology of Agentura Wenku s. r. o. These courses emphasize cranking of processes which are essential for healthy functioning of the school class. The positive climate which is created during the courses help to minimalize the appearance of risk behaviour such as bullying. The first part of the thesis introduces bullying in the school environment, forms of its prevention and the importance of positive social climate in a school class for functioning of prevention programmes such as adaptation course. The methodology created by Agentura Wenku s. r. o. is described in detail in the second part of the thesis. The thesis describes didactic process and specific games which are used by the agency in its programme including Zpětné vazby (feedback) - a reflexive method which differs the adaptations courses of Agentura Wenku s. r. o. programmes from other courses offered by competing agencies. The last part analyses the results of a brief survey of the attitude of teachers concerning the discussed topic. Development of self-assessment skills of pupils in 1st and 2nd year of primary school

This graduation thesis has a theoretical and an exploratory character. The theoretical part is focused on the knowledge in the field of school evaluation and self- assessment of pupils. It defines the basic concepts, types, forms and functions of evaluation and self-assessment. The main aim is to define ways and various strategies to develop self-assessment skills of children in the beginning of primary school. The research questions and methods of investigation are formulated in the theoretical part. It presents results of long-term research about development of self- assessment skills of children from the beginning of 1st grade to the end of the first half of 2nd grade. One of the most significant parts of the research is devoted to specific strategies of the teacher, which positively affect the development of self- assessment skills of pupils, as well as involving parents in this process during a common consultation of teacher, student and parent.
Social status of the integrated student with Asperger syndrome in the class

The goal of this diploma thesis is to map the issue of social integration of students with Asperger syndrome into a regular class of elementary school. The theoretical part is based on analysis of publications related to the topic. It deals with the description of the Asperger syndrome diagnosis and its symptoms, the concept of integration, mainly the integration of a student with Asperger syndrome, and the issue of classroom climate and the possibilities of its diagnostics and development. The practical part is based on the theoretical part. In it, the author focuses on the analysis of social status of integrated students with Asperger syndrome. Sociometrical techniques are combined with projective method and both are supplemented with a questionnaire for teachers and qualitative methods, primarily interviews with teachers and observation in class. Bullying in practice: School classroom through the eyes of students, teachers and parents

The aim of the research was to present a dynamic and vivid image of bullying, an image of a class that is affected by bullying. This means to define the form of bullying in the class at the second stage of elementary school, as it was captured in two similar cases, its development and solutions at different levels. This also means examining the phenomenon of exclusion from the class team, finding out the views of students, parents and teachers in a mutual systemic and temporal connection. Observation and keeping a research diary, questionnaires, group and individual semi-controlled interviews were used as methods for data collection. It was a mixed methodology. An ethnographic approach was chosen as the basic framework for this research, where the researcher was attending 2 elementary schools for one school year. The results of the research showed how essential is the correct qualification of what is happening in the classroom, resp. confessing something, as it really is, is a better option than fogging up and pretending that things are ok. Further, based on the results, we can assume that the climate of the classroom is determined by the general climate of the school, which has an impact on the resulting solution of the existing problem. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of social-emotional climate in the elementary school class whose pupil is a child with special educational needs. The theoretical part focuses on the development of relationships among the people who influence the classroom climate and on creating a favourable classroom climate with all its positive features. It discusses disruptions of the classroom climate by a pupil with special educational needs and thus also the related competencies of the teacher in charge of the classroom climate and possible ways of diagnosis, intervention and support options. In the practical part, ten teachers from two selected elementary schools provide their insight on the degree of influence the pupils with special educational needs who attend their class have on the classroom climate. Development of prosocial behavior in kindergarten through reading preliteracy activities

The diploma work is focused on the development of prosocial behaviour in a kindergarten by means of reader's preliteracy. The theoretical part clarifies the terms related to the issues of the development of prosocial behaviour in a kindergarten, reader's literacy and preliterasy. It as well briefly describes the differences between heterogeneous and homogenous structure of the classroom in a kindergarten arranged according to the age and deals with the kindergarten as well as the classroom climate. The aim of the practical part was to describe in what matter the particular kindergarten develops pro-social behaviour of children with the support of reader's preliteracy. During the whole school year there were particular activities established and consequently implemented into an age-heterogeneous classroom located in a one-classroom kindergarten and upon consequent reflexion and feedback the activities were further provided with a possibility to work further with a given activity. The factors of the psychosocial climate in the primary schoul classroom

The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce the problem of the classroom climate of the first grade at primary school. Classroom climate is a complex phenomenon and process and is subject to many influences, which are described in more detail in the theoretical part of this thesis. According to the literature, a key role is played by the teacher in the formation and influence of classroom climate. The practical part is aimed at the teacher ? it presents the results of interviews conducted with experienced first-grade teachers. The results show how addressed teachers define the concept of classroom climate, how it is diagnosed and further developed. The teachers also described the climate of their current classes and their opinions were compared with the results of a questionnaire that brought the views of the classroom climate through the eyes of pupils. This thesis is a part of GAJU Project 154/2016/S ?Preparedness of students and fresh graduates of PF JCU to solve educational problems of pupils.?
Inclusive didactics in primary school

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis brings the information about the possibilities, which could help the pedagogues to successful inclusion implementation. It introduces the inclusion principles and strategies, brings elementary information about inclusion in the way, how it is brought by the amendment to the Education Act by Decree 27/2016 on the education of pupils with special needs and talented pupils. It introduces support measures, pedagogical diagnostics, issues of learning styles, different teaching methods, different kinds of differentiation, it highlights the importance of the classroom climate and the personality of the teacher. It approaches the specifics of education in the small-scale schools. The practical part of the thesis answers the questions, if the chosen small-scale school fulfills the requirements of the inclusive education. It focuses on fulfilling the principles of metacognitive teaching, individualization and differentiation in schooling.
