Ramseyovské otázky v euklidovském prostoru
Cibulka, Josef ; Černý, Jakub (referee) ; Valtr, Pavel (advisor)
One of the problems in Euclidean Ramsey theory is to determine the chromatic number of the Euclidean space. The chromatic number of a space is the minimum number of colors with which the whole space can be colored so that no two points of the same color are at unit distance. We prove that the chromatic number of the six-dimensional real space is at least 11 and that the chromatic number of the seven-dimensional rational space is at least 15. In addition we give a new proof of the lower bound 9 for the chromatic number of the five-dimensional real space. We also simplify the proof of the lower bound 7 for the four-dimensional real space. It is known that the chromatic number of the n-dimensional real space grows exponentially in n. We show some of its subspaces, in which the growth is slower than exponential. We also summarize previous results for normed spaces in general and for some interesting non-Euclidean spaces.

Education Innovation Possibilities at the Faculty of Management
Kracík, Martin ; Hiršová, Miloslava (advisor) ; Míková, Irena (referee)
This work is divided into two parts -- the theoretical and practical ones. Main intention of the theoretical part was to provide comprehend views of current state of tertiary education in our country. For this purpose, particular chapters dealt with key terms, current problems and selected aspects of tertiary education. The outputs of the educational process, i.e. satisfaction of Czech labour market with graduates and the requirements of this market for graduates were not omitted. Main objective resulting from setting of this work, i.e. searching alternatives that may lead to innovative education at the faculty of management, was implemented within the frame of the practical part. First of all, research targets, research questions, research sample and ways of data processing were specified. The key chapter is the fourth one, presenting and interpreting the data collected. Outputs were assorted in tables or graphs, completed by appropriate comments. Crucial points were summarized in the end of the work. Especially the main research conclusions, benefits acquired from this work, recommendations rised for the faculty management and some other interesting findings.

Body image in TV commercials
Bednaříková, Jana ; Zamazalová, Marcela (advisor) ; Větrovský, Filip (referee)
Target of my final thesis is to explore elements of body image in TV commercials. In the thesis I focused on body image, marketing communication and advertisement. I tried to map what are people like in TV spots through content analysis. I did also analyze marketing research data of Market & Media & Lifestyle agency. I chose those data with due regard for perception of body image by consumers and I focused on TV advertisements issues.

Topical issues of the regulation of international air transport
Škodová, Pavla ; Brodec, Jan (referee) ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor)
I Recent Issues of Regulation of International Carriage by Air Summary The purpose of my thesis is the analysis of regulation of international carriage by air where currently co-exist two regimes based on different international conventions. The Warsaw Convention was the first instrument that unified body of rules governing the international carriage by air, especially the most important areas: the arrangement of documents of carriage and the carrier's liability. Its most significant feature is the limited liability for sustained damages in case of death, wounding or any other bodily injury of passengers, in addition based on fault. It has been considered as deeply protective to air carriers. The only character in favor of passengers is the shifted burden of proof so that the airlines are presumed liable unless they can meet the necessary measures standards. Huge discontent with this regulation led to entering into arrangements that modified the Warsaw Convention. Non-uniformity of this regime has been the cause of adoption of new Montreal Convention which incorporates most of relevant norms contained in arrangements which modified the Warsaw Convention. Thus the Montreal convention contains some provisions of the Guatemala Protocol, the Guadalajara Convention and Montreal Protocols III and IV. The new...

Theories of consciousness
Brixí, Sylvie ; Šípek, Jiří (referee) ; Kebza, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the theories of consciousness and attempts to critically evaluate contribution of each individual theory for further research and development of this phenomenon. Firstly, focus is on a general introduction including consciousness related definitions and terms as well as on abnormal states of consciousness. Next, consciousness is discussed from a historical perspective. The main body of this thesis is dedicated to the theories of consciousness, which are divided into several chapters according to the scientific field through which they are being scrutinized. This division leaves us with anthropogenic, physical, neurobiological, psychological, and philosophical theories. Each chapter introduces the theories of leading representatives of a given scientific field and attempts to critically evaluate them. Closing discussion offers a synthesis of existing knowledge in the consciousness-related problems and indicates further possible research (theoretical as well as practical) questions.

Nenets - tradition and modernity
Kvíčala, Petr ; Pargač, Jan (referee) ; Vrhel, František (advisor)
As an introduction to this problem we provide a brief survey to the history and different ways of dealing with the problems of native people in the Tsar era and during the Soviet period, too. Next part of this work describes traditional lifestyle of the Nenets people during all four seasons of the year. Described is material and also spiritual culture. Consequent part IS dedicated to the legislative branch of the state government on the relationship with the native people. This part describe several important acts with the most significant influence for the life of this nations. We focused into the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous region to describe local laws and programs for the development of these nations in this concrete local level. The most significant examples for demonstration of the situation and development base we have choosen "Concept of the advancement of the native people." and the programm "Culture, language and traditional style of life of native people of North for the period 2003-2007". The final part describes relations, influences and interests amidst various authorities, organizations, diverse groups and individuals in this sphere. First of all we need to mentioned about government authorities on the federal level and government board on the local level. Then organizations of native people...

Limits to Global Tax Cooperation: Unsuccessful Negotiations in the United Nations
Březovská, Romana ; Parízek, Michal (advisor) ; Karlas, Jan (referee)
In view of the adopted SDGs in 2015 and their focus on domestic resource mobilisation, this diploma thesis attempts to fulfil two main objectives. First, it aims to describe and analyse the current tax system often labelled not only by developing states as unfit for the 21st century's globalized economy. Second, it tries to provide deeper understanding of reasons that lead certain countries not to support the creation of a UN Tax Body, the only platform where all countries could participate in the negotiating of tax harmonization on an equal footing. Three hypotheses based on a neorealist, liberal and functional regime theory are put forward. Using data obtained from interviews conducted with delegates at the UN, it can be concluded that the organisational infrastructure is the power reflection. While the OECD BEPS mechanism is recognised by many as efficient and sufficient, this is possible due to the enabling power relations that exclude more than hundred developing countries from the negotiation of international tax rules. It can thus be concluded that the current OECD mechanism does not address existing policy loopholes that cause losses to developing countries. To match the SDGs' rhetoric with reality, policy-makers should create a more inclusive and universally agreed on standard-setting...

The string quartets of Iša Krejčí
