Kuchaříková, Petra ; Krahulcová, Beáta (advisor) ; Nová, Monika (referee)
My diploma thesis deals with Low-threshold services for children and youth and with fulfilling of the standards for quality in social services. Firstly I analysed problems of leisure time, historical events in the development in Low-threshold services for children and youth and binding documents for social workers. These problems are also discussed in relevance to the social services law. I mentioned the principles of low-threshold, aims of these establishments, target group and the whole process of this programme. One chapter deals with the management and financing and with social workers, their qualities, competences and supervision as the aide in self-education, and beneficiaries of social services and their characteristics. What threatens these beneficiaries are socio-pathological phenomenons, the most important ones are listed and I added the prevention. I described one mentioned establishment, which employs volunteers. For the evaluation of fulfilling of standards in social services I have chosen two low-threshold services for children and youth from Hradec Králové, where I have found if the standars are fulfilled or not by means of studying of methodology, observations and interviews with workers and beneficiaries. For conclusion I suggested some improvements which could be used in these establishments.
State Approach to Volunteers
Štěpánková, Jitka ; Frič, Pavol (advisor) ; NÁHRADNÍ, OPONENT (referee)
The diploma thesis "State Approach to Volunteers" deals with the evolution of the state's relationship to voluntary activities in Czech society, with an emphasis on the period since 1989. The starting point is the setting of volunteerism into the context of postindutrial society, which urges us to revise our values orientation, the possibilities of the labour market, our access to life-long education and our level of social cohesion. The essay pays attention to the analysis of the state's approach to the phenomena of volunteerism (in the role of a supporter) and to the resulting position of volunteers in Czech society, stressing the steps that were made to support volunteerism by the state. It analyses the statistical data that deals with the characteristics of organisation, and the projects that have been supported in connection with the Act on Voluntary Service 198/2002. Further, it presents a comparison of the problematic fields of Czech legislation on volunteering with the Polish and Hungarian legislation on volunteering. Finally, it suggests steps and arrangements that could be used in the further support of voluntary activities in the Czech environment.

Title: Volunteer motivation and care in the RunCzech running events Purpose: The main aim of this master's thesis is to find the motives contributing to be a volunteer at the RunCzech running events which are organized by the Prague International Marathon. Another goal is to discover how the organizer takes care of their volunteers, and how the leadership and volunteer coordination really works. Method: For this research on volunteer motivation questionnaires were used in electronic Google forms. The link for this survey was sent via e-mail and shared via social networks. The other methods were structural and semi-structural interviews with two employees of PIM, who are responsible for their volunteers during the organisation of RunCzech running events. The behaviour of volunteer leaders also has an important influence on volunteer's motivation. The interviews showed that PIM searches for volunteers primarily from high schools. They try to motivate volunteers with the possibility to choose a volunteer...
Functioning of Volunteering within the Family
Radová, Markéta ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee)
The thesis focuses on the functioning of volunteering within the family. The theoretical part deals with the definition of concepts related to the definition of volunteering. This thesis also includes the search of foreign literature which is dedicated to the study of volunteering in the family. In the empirical part is applied a qualitative research which is performed by the method of grounded theory. In the thesis are employed in-depth interviews on members of three families in which more than one family member volunteers are actively involved. The aim of the thesis is to add a different point of view into the topic of transfer of volunteering in the family. This thesis points out the family dimension of volunteering which most studies nowadays marginalize. Exploring the transfer of volunteering in the family is able to provide a unique insight of how each member is aware of volunteering. It also considers how and for which reasons the family members are or are not committed to the volunteering.
