The Comparison of education system of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and in the Netherland

This bachelor thesis focuses on the educational training and background of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The theoretical part deals with the development of interpreting, presenting the specifics of the political and social events affecting the education of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. It continues by examining the education requirements of sign language interpreters and how these are recognized in the legislation of those states. It aims to inform the reader about the current system of basic education for sign language interpreters, on how to support emerging sign language interpreters, and finally describes the system of lifelong learning sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The research part, aims to establish the level of satisfaction of sign language interpreters with their current system of education. Based on the data from the survey. It proposed possible solution to how to support the education for sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic.
Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education

The aim of this bachelor thesis "Motivation for continuing education and factors affecting participation in continuing education" is to analyze what motivates adults to participate in continuing education and what are main obstacles in adult education. The paper consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with an overview of basic knowledge about the issue with the use of literature, both domestic and foreign authors. The second, practical part contains a description of own empirical survey. The aim of the survey is to identify the main reasons for adults to participate in continuing education and detect the most common barriers, obstacles to such participation. The survey is trying to confirm the conclusions from the theoretical part by the analysis of the select company. Hardiness of Senior Citizens participating in Universities of the Third Age

The population is getting older. Prognosis predict increasing numbers of people in the age group 65+ in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to think about involving senior citizens in social development and supporting their self-sufficiency up to a higher age. Education is one of the ways to achieve that. The focus of this thesis is on education within the Universities of the Third Age, which it studies from a new point of view. Hardiness is seen as part of personal characteristics which helps the individual cope with stressful situations. Research in this thesis is trying to find out if the senior citizens attending the Universities of the Third Age have a higher scores on hardiness then those who do not attend, and also whether they have a more positive outlook on their health and meaning of their lives. The thesis also studies whether the scores on hardiness depends on gender, formal education level and whether it is connected to perceived social support. The results show that there is no difference in the scores on hardiness resulting from gender. Senior citizens attending the Universities of the Third Age have a more positive outlook on their health and they also perceive their lives as more meaningful. Options of harmonization of work and family in terms of setting the pillars of flexicurity in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis "Možnosti harmonizace práce a rodiny z hlediska nastavení pilířů flexicurity v ČR" deals with situation regarding the setting of two of three pillars of flexicurity (numerical flexibility and jobs protection, employment protection supporting functional flexibility) and possibilities of harmonization of work and family in the Czech Republic. The goal is to evaluate which actions of flexicurity there are in our country and what effect they have on the situation regarding the reconciliation of work and family roles and what could be improved in this issue. Within the evaluation of the current situation was described and evaluated the system setting of childcare, which contributes by a large degree to opportunities for females on labour market and thus also to harmonize work and family. The issue has been consulted from a gender perspective. Also the system of active employment policy and lifelong learning, which contributes to functional flexibility, was described and evaluated. The second part is created by the results of interviews analysis, which were performed by the author with experts from organizations such as MPSV, Hospodářská komora, ČMKOS or Gender Studies. Barriers in Education of Mothers on Parental Leave

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave. It aims to find what the specifics of these barriers are, as compared to the wider adult population. Mothers on parental leave are considered a specific group in the job market as well as in the field of education; therefore they need to be given special attention. The first part of the thesis defines further professional education as a part of lifelong education and introduces the surveys representing the base for my own survey, and also introduces some of the factors that influence the perceived barriers in education of mothers on parental leave. The detection of barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave was carried out in a quantitative survey. Strategies for Overcoming Barriers to Participation in Adult Education

This thesis deals with the issue of barriers to participation in adult education. Survey, which investigates the strategies used for overcoming the barriers to participation in adult education by parents on parental leave, has been prepared on the basis of the contemporary theoretical knowledge on barriers to participation in adult education and inequalities in participation in adult education. Parents on parental leave are one of the groups with uneven access to adult education and they are deterred from participation in education because of situational barriers. Research participants (n = 6, M = 34.5) participated in semi-structured interview, which consists of seven topics related to the respondent's personal history, his academic and professional career and the circumstances of his life. Based on the data, the conditions and mechanisms that help to overcome group-specific barriers to participation in adult education were identified. On the basis of the common elements of respondents' answers the economically oriented strategy for overcoming barriers and the alternative strategy for overcoming barriers were defined. The evolution of the informal education in the Czech Republic since 1989 up to the present days, and its situation today

The aim of this paper is to describe a topic which is difficult to define, i. e. the evolution of the informal education in the Czech Republic since 1989 up to the present days, and its present situation. The paper concentrates on the organizations working with children and youth and tries to identify the important moments of the evolution of the informal education and the aspects in which this type of education may be irreplaceable. The theoretical part of the paper deals with the evolution of the citizen society, the change of the position of people in its framework and the influence of the education and leisure time on the personality of present people. The quantitative, empirical part of the paper presents the results of a survey via questionnaires among organizations working with children and youth in the region of central Bohemia. Education of Librarians in the Central Bohemia Region

(in English) The aim of this thesis is to introduce the system of further professional education of librarians in Central Bohemian Region. After an introduction to the topic, a definition of legislative framework follows. The thesis also describes terminology including its development, the end of the chapter presents a list of possible funding means. The next section briefly describes the history of further professional education of librarians in Central Bohemian Region from 1960s to 2005. The main analytical section acquaints the reader in detail with contemporary educating schemes, their methods and forms in context of individual target groups and with particular topics, as well. This section works with the period between 2006 and 2012. Following section brings an outline of possible further education of librarians. It contemplates possible sources of important and essential topics. A survey between methodical workers has been chosen as a basis for determining possible future forms of professional education. The end of the thesis summarizes options as well as limitations of further professional education of library workers in Central Bohemian Region.

Attention is focused mainly on the issue of the entry level acquired at school and subsequently personnel development in lifelong learning. At the same time, the issue of determining career paths and competence matrices, on which the need for educational measures is based, is also taken into account. Further education of teachers teaching physical education at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic

Title: Further education of teachers teaching physical education at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic Objectives: One of the aims of this diploma thesis was to analyse the current offer of accredited educational events DVPP (further education of educational workers) in the field of physical education. We were interested in data concerning the form and focus of events, hourly subsidy, number of expected participants, and participation fee. Another aim of this thesis was to find out what attitude teachers of physical education have in relation to their further continuous education. Among other things, we were interested in how often they participate in this education and what forms of educational events they find most suitable regarding the subject of physical education. Methods: In the first phase, the data obtained from the databases of granted accreditations in the DVPP system managed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, were analysed. The data in the next part were obtained using an own questionnaire survey, which elementary and high school teachers of physical education have participated in.
