Practical Music Therapy: Music Activities in Pre-School Special Education

Author's précis This work deals with the use of music therapy in special pre-school education. It focuses on the structure and progression of the activities carried out during the music therapy sessions in special kindergarten Štíbrova. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the purposes and charakteristics of the therapy for this kind of clients and to test the influence and difficulty levels of the activities. The basic methods are experiment and observation. In spite of the fact that the influence on the clients is hard to evaluate, it can be said that the basic objectives have been fulfilled. The difficulty was set on the level possible to manage for all the clients. The benefit of the work is the exact and comprehensible description of a usable structure of music therapy session for children from special pre-school facilities. On the grounds of experience, it defines advantages and disadvantages of the tested activities. The theses can become a source of inspiration for lecturers and teachers in pre- school special education and explain the basic issues to readers without any knowledge from the field. The activities could also be applicable in the common kindergartens.
Relationship of a child with ADHD and his family to school

The thesis deals with the relationship of the child suffering from the ADHD and the child's family to the school. The objective was to find out what is the most important to the parents and the children and what influences the relationship and attitude of the child and the child's family to school. The theoretical part describes in which way the ADHD symptoms in the child influence relationship situations of all parties involved. It points out to potential problematic situations, lack of understanding in communication and potential risks for occurrence of conflicts. The crucial part of the thesis is a qualitative research survey carried out in the form of interviews with children and their parents. Its results show that mutual communication of the family and the school is very important as prevention from a lot of negative experience on both sides. The most frequent problems the child and the family cope with include non-functional communication with the teacher, bad relationship of the child with the teacher, insufficient cooperation and lack of understanding on both sides, which often escalates to changing schools. Evaluation of Method Using Cartoon Stories from School for Younger School-Aged Children with Behavioral Problems and Behavioral Disorders

The thesis deals with the topic of diagnostics in children with behavioral problems and disorders. In the theoretical part the author describes commonly used terminology and the width of issues related to caring for these children. The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Program is described and built on later in the practical section where the author introduces her own new method called "Children Together". The practical part of the thesis deals with action research aiming at improving author's practice in the field of special education and at evaluating the potential of the new method. The analysis of audio recordings from lessons and semi-structured interviews and two other supplementary research methods were utilized throughout the research. The outcomes of the research allow for a conclusion that the method "Children Together" can provide us with a volume of valuable assessment data on younger elementary-school-aged children. Towards the end of the thesis the author also identifies features of the method most valued by selected professionals, the ways how the method has been improved during the research and how it could be improved further on. Child suffering from the ADHD syndrome in the surveyed kindergarten.

Aim: The main aim of the thesis has been to find out the benefit of the integration for a child suffering from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) in a setting of the specific kindregarten. The partial aim has been to trace up the potential changes in the boy's behaviour evoked by his attendance of the kindergarten and which working technique has influenced it the most. Methodics: In order to have all the exploratory questions answered in a proffesional way, the personal structured dialogue was held between the mother of the surveyed boy and the boy's kindergarten teacher Output: The output of the survey clarified that Adam has made a great progress in many fields, as stated by the mother and either by the kindergarten teacher. The most noticeable improvement has occured in Adam's concentration which was not good at the beginning of his kindergarten attendance, his apprehension to the needs of others has become really significant in comparison with the past in which he was concerned mainly about himself. Thesis "A professional care of children with school delay" is focused on the analysis of intervention for children with the recommended postponement of school attendance. in pre-school and preparatory classes in primary schools. The thesis also includes a scheme of a Special Education reeducational aids, which can be used for possible developmental disorders which limit children entrance into the compulsory school attendance in the prescribed age.

The topic of thesis is a study of artphiletics approach to aftercare aimed at children with specific learning and behavior disorders, especially ADHD, conducted simultaneously in art lessons. The introductory part to find review deals with specific learning disabilities and behavioral disorders, especially ADHD, ie. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Possible causes and manifestations. It also points to the psychosocial aspects of specific learning disabilities and ADHD. Another section deals with pedagogical diagnosis, follow-up care for children with learning disabilities and ADHD monitored areas and remedial care.
