Research shows that school maturity in the two above mentioned areas can be hard to achieve but school readiness is something a child with ASD can still achieve through adequate intervention. The research part also identified other factors that may affect school maturity and readiness - family, kindergarten or a teacher in both the pre-school facility and the first grade of elementary school. Dostálová, Petra ; Kropáčková, Jana (advisor) ; Stará, Jana (referee)

It deals with Czech and foreign educational systems, which could help teachers to understand different approaches of parents from foreign countries and their children to education. This thesis explains multicultural differences, which could support better communication with students from foreign countries and their parents as well. This work offers possibilities of subvention of children from foreign countries in the process of including in the Czech educational system. On the basis of research it is obvious, that students from foreign countries are mostly successfully adapted to the educational system. Rarely there are problems with language boundaries or social and emotional development. Teachers consider admission of a student from a foreign country as a benefit but they often point out that it also means a harder work for them. Raková, Světlana ; Stará, Jana (advisor) ; Krátká, Jana (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis Problems of the school immaturity through the eyes of the primary school teachers is to summarize in the theoretical part the existing knowledge of the literature on school maturity and school readiness and their controversy and then in the empirical part to find out what problems primary school teachers feel in this area and how they solves them. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes the key findings on the chosen topic, the practical part presents its own qualitative research. The research was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with primary school teachers. The interviews were then transcribed and analyzed through grounded theory. The analysis of the interviews revealed that the experience of teachers with the school immaturity of primary school pupils is very diverse. Most often addressing teachers met with the inability to separate the child from the parents and deficiencies in communication skills. Most educators most often mentioned an individual approach to supporting children not sufficiently mature for school. It can be considered a negative phenomenon that most of the addressed schools do not have a preparatory program for future first-graders. As a suggestion for practice, I stated that...
